The 'Bridget Jones's Baby' Trailer is Here & It's Even Better Than We Imagined

The trailer for the next, long overdue addition to the Bridget Jones's Diary film series was released yesterday, and we're happy to say that our expectations have been fulfilled! If you haven't watched Bridget Jones's Diary or Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason yet (although you've had a while), you definitely need to treat yourself to a night in catching up on the movies, which follow a ridiculously relatable woman, portrayed by Renee Zellweger.

This movie, which is coming out more than 10 years after the previous films were released, continues the saga of Bridget Jones and her forever-single life. Fortunately for us, her character has managed to remain unlucky, struggling very much to "have it all." She's gotten an impressive producing job but still continues to awkwardly run into exes and embarass herself, as most of us understand from rather similar personal experiences.

The biggest change in Bridget's life since we last saw her is that (surprise!) she's having a baby, and (surprise again!) she's not totally sure who the father is. Lucky for her, it's definitely Colin Firth or Patrick Dempsey, so either way it's a pretty decent turnout. This plotline is balancing staying true to the character we know and love while modernizing what's going on around her. And we have to say that, based on the trailer, the film has done just that!

Have you seen the trailer yet, collegiettes? We're pretty sure we saw some Ed Sheeran before the one minute mark. Check it out for yourself below and let us know what you're excited to see when the movie hits the big screen!

New Tinder Feature Helps You Find Your Perfect Presidential Match

Everyone’s favorite hook-up app, Tinder, introduced a clever tool for rallying young voters Wednesday.

The new feature, called Swipe the Vote, helps users discover their true political leanings by prompting them with 10 questions about current issues, such as whether or not you would abolish the death penalty—You can swipe left for no or right for yes, and at the end discover your ideal presidential candidate.

Don’t think you’ll have to swipe blindly on issues when you haven't done all your research. Tinder's made it super easy to determine your stance on things like military spending and repealing Obamacare by providing information about its history in the U.S. at the bottom of each prompt.

Once you’ve completed the survey, Tinder matches you with the candidate that most closely aligns with your political beliefs, and provides a link for you to register to vote.

To use the new feature, open Tinder and swipe until you reach the advertisement for Swipe The Vote that looks like this:

The project is a partnership between Tinder and Rock the Vote, but Tinder CEO Sean Rad told Buzzfeed News that the inspiration came directly from their users, who were using the app to promote their favorite candidates.

Columbia University Faces Sexual Harassment Lawsuit By a Professor

A female professor at Columbia University filed a lawsuit against the school Tuesday, claiming sexual harassment by a fellow professor.

Enrichetta Ravina, an assistant professor of finance and economics, is suing for $20 million based on allegations that her male colleague at Columbia Business School, Geert Bekaert, sexual harassed her for several years and the school did nothing to address the behavior after she repeatedly brought it to their attention.

The New York Times reports that Ravina was at a critical point in her academic research when the harassment, which included comments about Ravina’s appearance and watching pornography, began.

Bekaert denied the allegations to the Times, saying that they were “baseless” and that Ravina "fabricated a series of completely false allegations."

“I think my story is awful, but my sense is that many women go through this,” Ravina told the Times. “The school has failed me, and it might have failed other people as well.”

This is the latest in sexual harassment cases involving faculty and staff at universities across the country, including one at UC Berkeley last week.

Starbucks Will Now Donate 100% Of Unsold Food to Those in Need

It’s always good to hear that a big company like Starbucks is doing its part to help those in need. The coffee giant announced Tuesday that they will be donating all of their unsold food to those in need.

According to Starbucks, this is program was years in the making. The main issue was figuring out how to make it happen, without compromising the quality of the food.

“When we thought about our vast store footprint across the U.S. and the impact we could make, it put a fire under us to figure out how to donate this food instead of throwing it away,” Starbucks brand manager, Jane Maly, said in a press release. “The challenge was finding a way to preserve the food’s quality during delivery.”

The company has been donating its pastries for awhile, but it was the refrigerated food that was causing problems. The answer came in the form of a partnership with Food Donation Connection and Feeding America. Through this collaboration, Starbucks will be able to feed 5 million people during the first year.

Starbucks is passionate about helping those in need, while also reducing food waste in the U.S. We currently waste a whopping 70 billion pounds of food per year, according to Feeding America. Meanwhile, there are still millions of people going hungry.

Next time you go on a morning coffee run to your local Starbucks, you can think about the good they're doing to help hungry Americans. Yet another reason to love everyone's coffee obsession!

Lauren Graham's Other TV Daughter Joins the 'Gilmore Girls' Revival

If you haven't already heard (we highly doubt it, but it could be possible), a Gilmore Girls reboot is coming to Netflix! We've seen many rumors and reports about who will be returning to Stars Hollow and who won't, but now we've got a new, unexpected piece of information on the topic.

After Lauren Graham's tenure as Lorelai Gilmore, she played another beloved television mom on Parenthood. During the show's six seasons, she was mother to Mae Whitman's character, Amber. Whitman (who you may recognize from The Duff) has always been a major Gilmore Girls fan. Lucky for her and partially due to the fact that she has an on- and off-screen relationship with Graham, she's landed a cameo in the GG reboot!

Whitman is a die-hard fan, so we can't imagine how starstruck be!

We can't wait to see how this plays out, and we're sure that Parenthood fans will enjoy the sly reference to Lauren Graham's other alter ego, too!

Supreme Court is Divided on Birth Control Case

$

The Supreme Court has been recently faced with the task of deciding whether employers with religious affiliations have to provide birth control to their employees. On Wednesday, debates over a resolution ended with four Supreme Court justices in support of requiring companies to provide contraception, and four against.

Currently, under Obamacare, companies that don't want to provide contraception to their employees may request that it be funded and supplied through “a third party,” likely an insurance company itself, so that all employees still receive this essential health benefit. But a lot of companies think that even having to request that a third party take over violates their religious liberty.

This debate is a contentious one, as it involves issues of both religious and reproductive liberties. The court is required to rule on the issue by the end of June, but because of the split down the middle, it's unclear where the justices will land. If they can't get past the tie, the decisions of lower appeals courts would be upheld, and not much would change.

Justices not in support of the motion suggested that individuals be covered under the Affordable Care Act (in addition to whatever insurance they receive by their employer), so that conflicts of interest could be avoided—If you have both, you can just get whatever your employer won't give you from the government. In response, Justice Sonia Sotomayor stated that when contraceptives are made easily accessible, "the number of unintended pregnancies dramatically falls, as does the number of abortions." This reality would seem to appease concerns religious businesses might have, but clearly didn't help unite the court.

According to conservative Justice Samuel Alito, to enact a policy requiring birth control and other contraceptives to be available to employees through their jobs’ health insurance providers would pose “an unprecedented threat to religious liberty” in the United States. But what about human rights? United States citizens aren't all religious, but they are all human and deserving of the civil liberties citizens are granted.

What we've all been waiting for is finally happening: Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum are getting their own dance series!

No, this isn't a false alarm; it's really true. The talented duo is set to executive produce a new dance competition series on NBC that will apparently provide a "fresh take" on TV dance series, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Although both of the Tatums will appear on the show, Dewan Tatum will be serving as a judge and mentor while her husband will make occasional appearances.

Neither Channing Tatum nor Jenna Dewan Tatum are new to the world of dance—we've all seen their talents displayed both as a unit and individually. Dewan Tatum's dance background originates from her career as a backup dancer for Janet Jackson and other collaborations with Pink, Missy Elliott and Christina Aguilera. In 2006, she starred in the popular dance flick, Step Up, along with her now-husband.

The six-episode dance series will finally bring NBC into the business of televised dance competitions.

Interested in seeing what the Tatums' new show may be like? Take a look at some of their best dance moments, including their most recent performance on Lip Sync Battle and the showstopping final sequence in Step Up!

North Carolina Eliminates LGBTQ+ Protections With New Law

$

A new policy forcing people to use the gendered restroom that matches their birth certificate was announced in North Carolina on Wednesday, according to the Associated Press. Not only does this law overturn any formerly inclusive policies, it “prevents all cities and counties in the state from passing their own anti-discrimination rules” at any point in the future. This legislation was written up as a result of the recent updating of a Charlotte, N.C. policy that did have protections LGBTQ+ individuals, including trans people who wanted to use the bathroom that matched their gender.

According to Dan Bishop, a North Carolina Republican who spearheaded the creation and codification of the new law, this policy will “[preserve] a sense of privacy people have long expected.” Clearly, this privacy does not apply to trans, gender nonconforming, and other marginalized people. Supporters also classified the new law and the subjects it addresses as an “issue...of safety,” suggesting that trans or gender nonconforming bodies pose some sort of threat to others.

This legislation passed through in the North Carolina Senate, where all 32 Republicans were in support and Democratic senators walked out, denouncing the bill entirely. This new law creates a definitive anti-discrimination policy for North Carolina that literally doesn't even mention gay and transgender people. The turnover of this bill into actual law was incredibly fast, and some Senate members weren't even aware of its existence before it was presented and finalized Wednesday.

This new policy is an example of explicitly state-sanctioned discrimination, and it is one that other states will hopefully not follow. Only 22 states currently offer legal protections for sexual orientation and/or gender identity, meaning that discrimination against LGBTQ+ people is legal in the majority of the United States.

To deny queer individuals access to seemingly inalienable human rights is to suggest that these bodies are less human than others. In an age of heightened awareness of LGBTQ+ issues, this kind of prejudice is disheartening. The bill will hopefully be overturned, but in the meantime, LGBTQ+ people of North Carolina are in need of supportt—They're definitely not receiving it from their government.

Kendall Jenner has come a long way in the modeling industry. At only 20 years old, she has walked in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, starred in commercials as the face of Estée Lauder, and can be found gracing billboards around the world. Now, she’s achieving another milestone in her career with Vogue. While she may not be on the cover just yet, the magazine is publishing a 52-page special edition issue all about the young model.

The supplemental issue includes new and repurposed content solely focusing on the model, her vast social media presence, and moreover, how she manages to stay grounded in the midst of all the media attention.

The cover story, written by Robert Sullivan, documents a day in the life of Kendall during hectic New York Fashion Week. The feature includes interviews with Karl Lagerfeld, Tory Burch, Michael Kors and Francesco Costa, who recount their experiences working with Jenner. They, of course, only have wonderful things to say about her—Lagerfeld calls her a "very sweet person. Very caring and not at all spoiled by those superficial successes."

To have a special Vogue issue solely dedicated to you is surely any model's dream come true. Kendall took to Instagram to express her excitement and disbelief: "Y'all I could cry! my very own Vogue Magazine. THE WHOLE THING. JUST ME. WHAT!! so honored to be the special edition issue @voguemagazine thank you!"

The special edition issue will be available online and included with copies of the April issue of Vogue for New York and Los Angeles subscribers.

More U.S. Students Than Ever are Choosing to Go Abroad for College

More American college students are leaving the United States for college than ever before.

A report from the Institute of International Education shows that the amount of students studying abroad increased 72 percent from 2000 to 2014. Another report shows that the number of students that choose to attend a four-year university in another country rose 463 percent from 1975 to 2012. The rise in education overseas is largely due to the huge difference in cost. We can all agree that our current and future spending habits and debt result from the exorbitant tuition rates of our nation's universities.

Bloomberg Business gives the account of Michael Ferrante, a recent graduate of Johns Hopkins University, who discovered how cheap studying in Germany was. He reportedly spent $500 on two semesters at a university in Berlin, compared to $27,000, with financial aid, at Johns Hopkins. The same article says that forty colleges in Europe offer free bachelor's degrees, and they're even taught in English. Almost 100 other colleges ask for roughly $4,000 per year. That sounds like a dream to all of our Sally Mae-fogged minds.

There are some negative aspects to attending college abroad. Bloomberg points out that American colleges have the perks of on-campus residence halls and dining facilities, which most European schools do not. And depending on the cost of living around the university, a student enrolled abroad could be spending more than they would in the U.S. Despite the drawbacks, if you love traveling, the opportunity to attend a university abroad for much cheaper, is, well, priceless.

What Life is Like With Kylie Jenner Nails

Anyone who knows me (or has read this) knows I am unabashedly obsessed with Kylie Jenner. I have been watching Keeping Up with the Kardashians for years now, and the youngest Jenner has me all sorts of hooked.

First, it was the Vines. Then, I started following her on Twitter for her funny ramblings and sometimes inspirational quotes, and soon after I was following her on Instagram for her amazing style and aesthetics.

Jenner is mostly known for those much-talked about lips, which she capitalized on big time and is making waves (and another fortune) with her Lip Kits. I, of course, had to try them—so I scored Mary Jo K in the Valentine’s Day restock and recently also added Posie K and Dolce K to my growing collection.

Kylie, take the wheel because I'm losing my mind over this lip kit #maryjo @kyliejenner @kyliecosmetics

Her signature look goes beyond the lips, though. Those dramatic nails also take center stage.

And just like with her Lip Kits, Jenner knows what her fans want, so she partnered up with Sinful Colors to release a line of nail polish. Unsurprisingly, it sold out pretty quickly.

Even before my Kylie obsession, I took immense pride in my nails. I've been able to both keep them short or wear them long, so haven't seen the need to get acrylics or gel extensions at a salon.

Recently I’ve (obviously) been inspired by Kylie’s numerous nail looks:

From Instagram: @alanifierce

But when my nail-FOMO was becoming to strong with every one of Kylie's Snapchats and Instagrams, it was time to stop waiting for my nails to grow out and to get my very first gel UV extensions. They look more natural than acrylics, and healthier, too.

So I went with a long style, a rounded-square shape and a dark emerald color from Essie. I was immensely happy with how they turned out!

The thumb was a little too boxy for me, so I just filed it down until it looked more natural. Since I have lived with long nails before, it was pretty easy to adjust. You can’t really scratch at things because the nail itself is a littler duller than regular nails. You also don’t want to put too much pressure on the faux nail, because it hurt a little bit.

Since I'm not used to fake nails, they did feel pretty bulky and bothersome. I had to adjust how I held my pencil, how I typed on my phone and how I put clothes on (you do not want to snag a hole in your tights).

RELATED: 16 College Women Get Real About Kylie Jenner

But the struggles did not outweigh my love for these nails. I got compliments everyday on the length and the color. My coworkers thought they were fierce and my mom loved the shape. I felt so empowered by having these glamorous nails. They made even the simplest trip to the library a little less gloomy.

They were also the perfect background accessory in my photo op with my new Lip Kit.

They just made everything look a little more dramatic.

What I will stress, though, is to not peel them off. When the time comes and you have had it with the length, the dullness, or just the general upkeep, get them professionally removed or look up how to safely remove them at home. I became annoyed and didn’t really care about them after having them for a month or more and I tore off the tops of my nails. The results, as you can see, were not pretty.

If you do this, don’t worry too much. Just get a buffer board and use the sides to get a nice, shiny, smooth finish. They will look fine again.

RELATED: Kylie Jenner is Expanding Her Beauty Empire

Also, if you're going to emulate Kylie’s nails, make sure you are very careful with how you handle yourself. I was quickly getting my heavy backpack on and snapped my pinky nail almost in half. It bled and only after I removed the gel extensions did I see that I had cracked the actual nail.

But despite the mishaps and the care for the long, fake nails, I loved my time with them. They made me feel and look good. They are definitely something I want to try again and helped me realize that long nails are the way to go for me.

It also made me feel like Kylie when typing on my phone and doing other daily tasks, and who doesn’t want that?

Rest in peace, Alan Rickman.

Harry and Ginny were destined from the beginning

Ron and Hermione, too.

Dudley Dursley changed by the end of the series––at least, a little bit.

By the end of the books, that is. However, the redeeming moment was cut from the movie (and we kind of wish it wasn't).

Voldemort is almost a direct descendant of Salazar Slytherin

And incest was big in his family.

It helped save magical creatures and was the REAL reason behind Ron and Hermione's first kiss.

Neville Longbottom: the only proof you will ever need.

Peter Pettigrew made it far too long into the series

But, we will try not to question it.

Non-magical people can be born into magical families

And they are usually upset about it––hello, Filch? No wonder he is so grumpy all the time.

Although the show's glory days were predicted to be in its past, Pope and the Grant administration keep surprising us with new plot twists every week. In honor of Scandal recently being renewed for a sixth season, we simply had to celebrate. We have scoured the depths of the internet to find you he best moments from all 5 seasons of the show.

Sit back, grab a bottle of wine and a bowl of popcorn, and enjoy.

1. When Olivia and Fitz hooked up for the first time in OG Season 1.

2. When Huck and Quinn got hot n’ heavy and we didn’t know if we loved it or where extremely disturbed by it.

Can we be both?

3. When Fitz was shot before his 50th birthday.

Talk about a mid-life crisis.

4. And VP Sally Langston thought she could slither her way into the oval office with no interference.

5. When Mellie legit induced labor so Fitz wouldn’t divorce her.

6. When Verna Thornton threatened to tell everyone about Defiance County.

Oh you know, where the Grant campaign rigged the presidential election.

7. And Fitz promptly responded by killing her.

As any logical man would.

8. When Olivia took a quick pause from her “All roads lead to Fitz” lifestyle and got with B613 hottie Jake Ballard.

9. That is, until she found out he was stalking her immediately afterwards.

Ugh. Don't you just hate when that happens?

10. When we found out that Olivia’s dad, Rowan, is the mastermind behind B613.

Her daddy issues are well-deserved.

11. And that her presumed dead mom was actually alive.

Oh, and her Mommy issues.

12. Or when we found out that Fitz was the pilot who shot down a commercial airplane for Operation Remington.

13. When Jake Ballard took command of B613.

14. When Fitz and Mellie’s son, Jerry, was murdered.

15. And then Olivia ran away to “stand in the sun” with Jake.

16. When Olivia was taken hostage and we had absolutely no idea what was going on.

Hair not so on fleek.

17. And then Fitz goes to war with West Angola because Liv’s kidnappers told him to.

His judgement was questionable at best.

18. And in the midst of all of this, Mellie announces that she would be running for president in 2016.

19. Oh and did we mention that Mellie was responsible for Rowan murdering the Juror’s of the B613 trial?

20. But its all ok because Fitz FINALLY chose Olivia.

I Tracked My Sleep With an App & The Results Were Fascinating

$

I've always felt like I'm fighting a losing battle with sleep. I seem to need more of it than my friends to stay sane. While many of them can do four and six hours nights, or even pull an all-nighter for finals with ease, I don't feel fully recharged unless I get ten hours of sleep, although I can function on six or seven if I need to.

Throughout my life, I've tried many methods to sleep better. In high school, my sleep quality was at its all-time low because I woke up at 4:30 every day to take the bus to school, whereas in college, my sleep quality steadily increased by the year as I was allowed to choose later classes and have a more flexible schedule.

So when I came across this app called Sleep Cycle, I was intrigued. The idea of an app that would monitor my sleep and wake me up when I was already most awake sounded appealing. I'd already done a lot of research throughout high school and college about which sleep cycles were best to wake during, and I'd experimented with purposefully trying to wake up during specific cycles.

According to their website, Sleep Cycles works by either using the microphone or the accelerometer (the same technology that knows when you're turning your iPhone so the screen can flip) to track your sleep and lightly wakes you when you're already the most awake. You can set a specified range of time during which you'd like to be woken, and it will choose the time that you seem most awake to set off a light alarm.

Before using this app, I already had some sleep tricks in place that may affect the results. First of all, I make a habit of not trying to sleep until I'm actually tired, and not forcing myself to try to sleep if I can't. I also have an app that makes the light of my iPhone and my laptop more conducive to sleep, so that if I use either before bed it won't affect my ability to fall asleep after. Third, if I'm having particular trouble falling asleep, I'll try sitting up and reading for a while before even attempting to go back to bed.

Tuesday

This was my first night testing the sleep app, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I didn't have anywhere to be early the next day, so I thought it was an ideal time to find out what happened. I did absolutely no experimenting: nothing to try to influence my sleep or be sleepier before bed. Instead, I just went to bed when I was actually tired, and turned the app on right before bed.

RELATED: The Truth About How Much Sleep You Actually Need

I had a pretty good sleep that night. I wasn't sure what to expect, so I continued using the app to find out what might influence my sleep.

Wednesday

I had a very hard time falling asleep that night, but also had somewhere I needed to be early the next morning. As a result, my app categorized this as a "short night or nap," which gave me a good laugh.

I was groggy all day, so I tried to take a nap a few times mid-afternoon, but I wasn't able to. I've never been good at going back to sleep once I've woken up, which is one of the reasons I wanted to try a sleep app in the first place. As a result, I was tired all day, but then hit a boost of energy sometime around four or five in the afternoon.

Thursday

On Thursday night, I knew I had somewhere to be the next morning, and I didn't want a repeat of Wednesday's horrible sleep. So I experimented by taking some sleep aids: the generic version of ZzzQuil.

RELATED: I Tried Sleeping 8 Hours a Night For a Week

As a result, I fell asleep shortly after going to bed, and it looks like I stayed in a deep rest for a while after. I was really awake in the morning, however, when my cat crawled on the bed and tried to disturb me to be fed. In short, I learned that disturbances early in the morning are hard to recover from, because I never completely fell back asleep after she originally woke me.

Friday

Finally, the weekend! I was tired from a few days of wacky sleeping schedules, so I used this night to get a nice, healthy night's rest. I did nothing unusual before bed, except stay up until I was totally tired, and then sleep in as long as my body wanted. The result was a fairly high-quality sleep that left me well rested and ready for my busy Saturday.

Saturday

On Saturday, I had a chance to find out how alcohol affects my sleeping, along with sleeping in an unfamiliar place. I was scheduled to sleep over someone's house for a jewelry party, and I drank several glasses of wine before getting some shut-eye.

It looks like, despite drinking and being in an unusual place, I got a fantastic night's sleep. In the morning, I felt really well-rested, which is rare for me after drinking. Usually, I feel like drinking more than one or two drinks makes me restless, and I wake up several times during the night. What did I learn from this? Different types of alcohol may affect my sleep differently. Normally, I drink mixed cocktails and not wine, so it's possible that wine is better on my sleep than other, harder liquors.

Sunday

On Sunday, I experimented with going to bed and starting the app before I was actually tired. I let the app track the time that I spent in bed reading and surfing the Internet, just to see how much time that took me. I wanted to know how much of my time in bed was spent actually sleeping and how much was spent getting ready to sleep.

Although I spent some time awake beforehand, I dropped into deep sleep pretty quickly. And my alarm woke me a few minutes before 7:30, when I was already awake, so I felt more recharged than I normally do waking up in the morning.

Monday

On Monday, my alarm woke me significantly earlier than 7:30, and I was surprised that this didn't bother me. Usually, I hate being disturbed before my alarm (basically, before I absolutely have to be up to be on time for the day), but I woke feeling sick, so my mind was more on my body than anything else.

Unfortunately, it looked like a stomach virus was going to take over my day. I woke up early and had a hard time going back to bed.

Right before waking up, I'd also had a nightmare, which might explain why I went from deep sleep to awake so quickly. I woke up feeling anxious as well as sick, and I'm surprised my overall sleep quality was this good. The app definitely isn't able to take into account what dreams we have!

Tuesday

On Tuesday, I drank more water than usual, including right before going to bed. I hadn't been feeling well all day, so it was harder to go to bed at night, but I was also far more hydrated than I usually am.

RELATED: Up All Night: Your Sleep Issues Solved

When I woke up in the morning, I felt a lot more refreshed, and even though my sleep quality was lower than the night before.

Wednesday

When I woke up, I didn't feel completely ready to start my day, and it took me more time to get ready in the morning. It seemed like this could be because my sleep was short, since my longer nights of sleep, on average, seemed to have higher quality.

I also had more excitement in my night before going to bed, because I'd interviewed someone over the phone for a magazine, and I'd stayed up late watching one of my favorite shows.

Thursday

I tried going to bed early on purpose to see how this would affect my sleep, and this seemed like the perfect night: I wasn't feeling well, I was already tired, and I didn't have anything I needed to do. Sleeping for a longer period of time increased the overall quality of my sleep, but it looks like I didn't fall into deep sleep right away, whereas for the other nights I basically always dipped into deep sleep immediately.

What I Learned

It's definitely healthy for me not to try to fall asleep until I'm absolutely ready, because it results in reaching a deeper sleep more quickly, and being less likely to wake back up. Overall, a longer night's sleep is better for me, but waking up at the right time in my sleep cycle can make even a shorter night seem more refreshing than it normally would. It's best for me to get between eight and ten hours of sleep, but if that's not possible, seven is better than six. It seems like even an extra half hour or hour of sleep can really increase the quality of my sleep.

Going to bed earlier, even when I was already tired, didn't seem to result in falling deep asleep faster, but it did increase my overall quality. Being disturbed during my sleep, especially in the morning, can make it harder for me to fall back asleep and probably takes away from the quality of my sleep.

I'm planning to continue using this app, because even on a daily basis, when I don't try anything to affect the quality of my sleep, just being woken up at "the right time" has been beneficial, and leaves me feeling more refreshed than my normal iPhone alarm. The added insights have been bonus material, because they let me know how long I should sleep, and what time I might want to go to bed, in order to have the best night's rest possible.

The latest role that Amandla Stenberg has just signed on for may make her an even bigger face of the Black Lives Matter movement.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 17-year-old Hunger Games star is set to play the lead role in an upcoming film inspired by #BlackLivesMatter called The Hate U Give. The film, whose title is based on Tupac Shakur's tattoo T.H.U.G., will follow the story of Starr, a 16-year-old suburban prep school student who must deal with the aftermath of witnessing her unarmed best friend get shot and killed by a police officer.

The Hate U Give will be an adaptation of Angela Thomas's debut novel of the same name. Thomas wrote the novel in response to the death of 22-year-old Oscar Grant, who was shot dead by a police officer in Oakland, CA in 2009. Grant's story sparked a series of protests and was also the inspiration for the film Fruitvale Station.

Stenberg's role in the film seems like a bit of a no-brainer since she's been vocal and outspoken in regards to her opinions on everything from feminism to issues facing the black community. This is definitely a movie that we're looking forward to watching.

Should You Stay in a Relationship With No Future?

We get it: You’re in college and you want to have a good time, but you also like the feeling of being in a relationship. These two things don’t have to be mutually exclusive! Sometimes, a relationship that’s fun can also be truly fulfilling – even if you don’t see it having long-term potential.

Being with a person who’s good for you right now (but not down the road) can be great, but it can also be a slippery slope. So how do you know if it’s time to break things off? We talked to experts and collegiettes to help you figure out if you should stay with your short-term SO for now.

You should stay together if…

You feel happy and fulfilled

So what if you’re not looking to settle down right now? We’ve said it before: A big part of college is having a good time! If that’s what you’re getting out of your current relationship, then there really is no reason to break up.

“The bottom line is that if this woman is enjoying the relationship and it enhances her life, it's okay to stay together as long as both people in the relationship feel happy and fulfilled,” says Andrea Syrtash, a relationship expert and author of It's Okay to Sleep with Him on the First Date: And Every Other Rule of Dating, Debunked.“A relationship that's fun, fulfilling and has mutual respect is never a waste of time, as far as I'm concerned. Even if you know for a fact you have no interest in something long-term, it's fun to have companionship and a partner to go through school with.”

This is exactly how Zoey*, a junior at Boston University, feels about her current relationship. “This guy and I have been together for pretty much all of my college career,” Zoey says. “Initially I thought it had long-term potential, but the more time went on, the more I realized it probably wouldn't work out. I don't see myself staying in one state and I don't see us being the type to have a long-distance relationship, so I know it's going to have to end eventually.”

Although Zoey sometimes questions the relationship, it just makes sense for her and her SO right now. “I do contemplate all the time, ‘What's the point in staying together if we don't have longevity?’” Zoey says. “But then I think, ‘Why do we have to break up?’ We don't have any major conflicts, we're happy with each other. So it's fun for now.”

You’re learning about yourself

To carry on with the clichés, college is not just about having fun; it’s also about understanding who you are. One of the best things about being in a fulfilling relationship that you don’t necessarily see having a future is that you get to learn things about yourself and about what you want in a significant other.

“Each relationship teaches us something not only about ourselves, but [also] about what we want in relationships ahead,” Syrtash says. “'College is an exciting time, sometimes full of more questions than answers - and I'm a fan of using the time to explore your wants and needs.”

Part of learning about yourself often involves sexual exploration, which is one of the biggest advantages of being in a short-term partnership. “A woman gets to explore sex and her sexuality within a fun, safe relationship,” says Neely Steinberg, a professional dating coach. Why would you want to miss out on that, if everything is running smoothly anyway?

You enjoy the independence

If you’re keeping your relationship light, it can allow you to do more of your own thing, and this is another great way to discover who you want to be. If you and your SO aren’t too committed to each other, you might gain “the ability to focus in on career or academics and figure out who you are on your own and what direction you want go in life without necessarily being tethered to someone else,” Steinberg says. This means your partner isn’t holding you back, and you’re not worrying about an uncertain relationship in your life; you’re just doing you.

You should break up if…

You feel ready to move on

It might seem obvious, but if the relationship doesn’t feel right anymore, it’s time to break things off. Trust your instincts! Only you can know if it’s working out or not. “Ultimately, the decision to end it should come from [your] feeling of wanting to end it - not because [you] ‘should,’” Syrtash says. “When it comes to love and relationships, these timelines are arbitrary and often based on other people's ideas of what is right or appropriate.”

Steinberg agrees that “there is no right time, per se.” Once again, you should simply be honest with yourself and break up “when [you’re] feeling ready to move on, or the ‘relationship’ stops [being] fun/healthy,” she says.

Although dating is always complicated, sometimes it’s just clearly not working. This is what Barbara*, a recent graduate from St. John’s University, eventually had to admit to herself about herself and her long-distance boyfriend. “The relationship was ultimately not making me happy,” Barbara says. “My ex-boyfriend was exactly like me, personality-wise: stressed, anxious, insecure, uptight, and I thought that it would help in the long run emotionally, but it ended up stressing me out even more, instead of bringing the kind of ease and peace that a healthy relationship is supposed to have.”

One of you wants more out of the relationship

Just like in friends with benefits situations, the concept of staying in a relationship with no foreseeable future can lead you down a slippery slope, where either you or your SO starts to want more commitment. This is why it’s so important to communicate with your partner! “My only caveat [to staying together] is if the woman involved secretly wants marriage soon after she graduates or if her partner is looking for something long-term and she really doesn't see it in her future,” Syrtash says. “In this case, it's worth having a conversation to ensure both people involved are on the same page.”

If your SO wants more than you’re willing to give, it’s definitely “best to not lead someone on for your own selfish purposes and to break it off.” Steinberg warns.

Barbara realized after a few months that she wasn’t as committed to her boyfriend as he wanted her to be. “One big sign was that if I went one day without talking to him via text or phone call, I wasn't distressed over it or had any kind of [desire] to get back to him right away,” Barbara says. “When he confronted me about the lack of communication and asked to talk about it, I wasn't interested in resolving it.” One condition of being in a light relationship is to make sure that neither person involved wants anything serious – keep checking that you’re both on the same page, and if not, cut your losses!

You feel like you’re missing out

As much as you can learn from a short-lived college relationship, you can gain a lot from more meaningful relationships, even if they eventually end. According to Steinberg, you could be “missing out on what true intimacy and partnership are all about. Experiencing a really loving, emotional commitment to someone else in college is a great training ground. It can help you grow and evolve as a whole human being, help develop other aspects of you that are necessary when you are in a committed partnership, and prepare you for what long-term commitment is all about.”

Of course, a lighter relationship can be wonderful if that’s really what you want, but if you feel like you could get more from being more emotionally involved with someone (whether it’s your current SO or someone else), you might want to explore that aspect as well.

College is a time for experimentation, especially when it comes to dating and sexuality. If you don’t want to be too committed to someone right now, being in a fun, light-hearted relationship could be exactly what you need. Whatever choice you make, just make sure you’re making it for the right reasons!

There pretty much isn’t a single fashion girl who isn’t lusting after a pair of Yeezy Boosts—but with sky-high prices on eBay and pretty much no chance of getting our hands on a pair otherwise, it looks like we’ll be sitting this one out. Luckily, there are plenty of just-as-chic options—without that massive price tag.

1. Single Color Sneakers ($49.90 at Zara)

From the printed mesh to the all-black, neutral aesthetic, Zara’s version is pretty spot-on.

2. adidas Tubular Defiant Shoes ($110 at adidas)

If you were after the high-top version of Kanye’s highly lusted-after shoe, you’re in luck—adidas makes a pretty close dupe.

3. adidas Originals Stan Smith ($59.99 at Foot Locker)

Sure, it seems like everyone has a pair of adidas Superstars or Stan Smiths, but these stand out from the crowd.

4. Mesh Sneakers ($39.99 at H&M)

A little bit of camel-colored mesh makes this pair look way more expensive than it actually is.

5. Vans SK8-Hi Slim Zip ($80 at Zappos)

Vans’s signature style is having a moment right now—we have a feeling Kanye would approve of this light rose hue.

6. Nike Roshe One Sneakers ($89.88 at FarFetch)

You’ll never go wrong with edgy, all-black everything—and these are way comfy too.

Here's What You're Most Likely To Shop For When Drunk

Liquid courage goes beyond sidling up to that cutie at the bar or ordering that extra-large, end-of-night pizza—turns out it can influence your spending, too. It's no surprise that drunk impulse shopping is a thing, but what exactly are we spending on in the middle of the night every weekend?

Apparently, it's shoes and lingerie—and the expensive kind, too. Racked tapped in to the expertise behind e-boutique Lyst to learn that 48 percent more orders than usual are placed on Fridays at 2 a.m., and the average order value is 30 percent higher, too. Past midnight, that value increases to 40 percent. Lingerie sales skyrocket to somewhere around the $300 value Friday nights; splurge-worthy dresses are sold at a rate of 320% higher; and we're more like to spend way, way more on shoes after 10 p.m. on Fridays than we normally would.

Having a few drinks tonight? Be sure to hide your wallet—especially once midnight hits.
