6 Ways to Feel Romantically Fulfilled Without a SO

$

Being single has its perks (read: saving money on dates and gifts, doing whatever you want without worrying about another person, etc.), but sometimes – especially after scrolling through endless fall-themed couple pics on Instagram – we just want to feel loved and satisfied. However, there’s no need to start frantically swiping through Bumble and Tinder trying to find your next bae, because you can fulfill yourself without a SO. Need proof? Read on.

1. Take yourself on a dinner date

They have small tables at restaurants for a reason, don’t be afraid to hit your favorite places by yourself! “I love going solo to dinner,” says Sarah, a senior at Temple University. “I can order anything I want without feeling judged. I also don’t have to think of weird small talk. Sometimes I bring a book along, because there’s nothing better than good food and good reads.” There’s no shame in being by yourself at a restaurant; you can reflect on yourself and your life, all while chowing down on your fave foods.

2. Watch a romantic movie in bed

Grab your boyfriend pillow – I mean, body pillow –and snuggle up for a night in, accompanied by your favorite rom-com. We recommend anything with Katherine Heigl or anything based off a Nicholas Sparks book –– you can’t go wrong. Even better, you can pop a big ol' bowl of popcorn without having to share it with anyone. Pour a glass of wine, queue up the Netflix, and think about all of the people that are probably on horrible dates right now.

3. Write down all of the reasons you love yourself

It might seem cheesy, but taking some time to journal positive thoughts might just fulfill you. Once you see all of the beautiful qualities about yourself written down on paper, you’ll realize you don’t need a SO in order to be living your best life as your best self. "Whenever I'm feeling insufficient, I pull out my phone or a notebook and jot down positive thoughts and characteristics that remind me of my worth," says Anna, a first-year student at Montgomery County Community College. "It's hard to feel fulfilled when you're single during cuffing season, but this helps me a lot." Make a list of all the reasons you love yourself, from surface-level thoughts about your appearance to your personality characteristics. Hang it up in your bedroom for a little much needed inspo when you’re feeling lonely.

4. Take things into the bedroom…(you know what we mean)

Whether you’re single or not, feeling sexually fulfilled is important. Even if you’re not sexually active, sometimes you still need some satisfaction. Watching porn isn’t anti-feminist or dirty, and it can even be ethical. So if that’s what you’re into, go enjoy yourself! Masturbation usually goes hand-in-hand with watching porn. It allows you to learn what you like sexually, it can be empowering and it can even relax you. So go ahead, indulge yourself.

5. Pick up a new hobby

One benefit of being single is that you can do anything you want without worrying if your SO is having fun. You can be entirely selfish – at least when it comes to how you spend your time. Have you had an urge to pick up embroidery? What about something like powerlifting or running? "When I was with my ex, I always felt like I couldn't try things that were adventurous or tomboy-ish," says Morgan, a senior at Temple University. "I've always loved rock climbing and hiking, so when we broke up, I finally was able to start doing these things." You have more time to try new adventures when you don’t have to focus on planning things with a SO, so maybe try to learn more about yourself in the process.

6. Treat yo’self!

Who said you couldn’t order 1-800-Flowers for yourself? Exactly. Order a bouquet, write yourself a love note and act super surprised when you receive it. Splurge on fancy underwear and bras (because feeling sexy even when you’re wearing sweats is *so* important).  If you’ve been vying for Fenty Beauty products or those amaaaazing leggings from Lululemon, treat yo’self! You’d be spending the money on dates and gifts for your SO anyways.

See? You can do just about everything without an SO that you could with one. Romance doesn’t just have to be between you and another person; it can be all about you.

An University of Hartford Student Has Been Expelled After Sharing Harsh Treatment of Roommate on Instagram

A student at the University of Hartford has been expelled from school and charged with criminal mischief after publicly sharing her extreme attempts to force her roommate to move out of their dorm room, The New York Times says. 18-year-old Brianna Brochu, who is white, found herself in trouble after posting on Instagram about her disgusting actions to drive out her black roommate Chennel Rowe.

"After one and a half months spitting in her coconut oil, putting moldy clam drip in her lotions, rubbing used tampons on her backpack, putting her toothbrush places where the sun doesn't shine, and so much more, I can finally say goodbye to Jamaican Barbie," her now-deleted Instagram post said.

The West Hartford Police Department began investigating the situation about two weeks ago, a day after the University of Hartford's public safety department intervened, and Brochu turned herself in on Oct. 28. Since then, university president Gregory Woodward has confirmed her expulsion. In an online statement, Woodward said that Rowe was moved to a safe location when the news spread to campus authorities. "The incident has brought about accusations of racism, and I want you to know that I hear and share your anger and frustration," he wrote. "Acts of racism, bias, bullying or other abusive behaviors will not be tolerated on this campus. I pledge to do so everything in my power to work with our community to address related concerns together."

The school administration clarified that it had followed standard procedures regarding the incident, likely reacting to Rowe coming forward with her own side of the story. In an hour-and-a-half-long Facebook video, Rowe, known as Jazzy, explained that she became extremely sick earlier this semester, which she eventually realized was a result of Brochu interfering with her belongings. After being randomly assigned to live with Brochu at the start of their freshman year, Rowe chose to move out because she felt "unwanted" and experienced "petty, disrespectful stuff."

While Rowe was moving out, a dormmate called her attention to Brochu's social media, including the controversial Instagram post and a photo of bloodstains on Rowe's backpack. Although Brochu has already been charged with the felony of intimidation based on bigotry or bias, Rowe shared her experience online in frustration of not receiving a more urgent response from the University of Hartford.

"If the race roles were reversed, I feel like this would have gone down a different route," she said in the viral video. The University of Hartford undergraduate student body is approximately 15 percent African American.

"I don't want to be another statistic," Rowe said of the college's slow treatment of her serious situation. "Multiple crimes [were] committed in this thing...and it's the fact that nothing's being done. I'm not about to sit here and have this thing dusted, blown away in the wind."

Rowe also revealed that because of her illness, she has had to travel to New York several times to see doctors, missing classes as a result. With the hashtag #justiceforjazzy spreading in response to her video, the university has also insisted that, while Rowe was advised not to act on her own, residential staff didn't intend to "try to keep to her quiet."

In what is an inexcusable treatment of a student, Rowe's experiences have certainly shone a greater light on bigotry on college campuses.

Here's Your Perfect Tattoo, Based on Your Zodiac Sign

Your body is a temple, a temple that you are free to decorate as you please, which makes choosing the right tattoo especially difficult.

While it may be fun to get a tattoo based on the current trends, the simple fact is that once you get a tattoo, it’s not going anywhere. If you’re looking for a tattoo that’s meaningful and timeless, you may need to do some soul searching and determine a symbol or design that truly reflects your ~vibe~. So why not let the stars decide for you?

Aries

As an Aries, you like to be the best at what you do, no matter what it is. You have an insatiable need for success, and your go-getting personality fuels you in every aspect of your life. Your friends look to your for inspiration in every aspect: fashion, career, school, you name it. An Aries girl is out to break the glass ceiling and take no prisoners in the workplace.  For your tattoo, consider a key. You’re not one to follow the crowd, and you’re always the first to “open the door,” metaphorically speaking.

Taurus

Taurus girls are the definition of loyal, and your perseverance and patience sets you apart from the others. When it comes to friends, the Taurus girl values quality over quantity, even though everyone looks to you for advice and support. You thrive on stability, and you keep your circle small—just the way you like it. Staying grounded and true to yourself is important, and you value that in your relationships as well. An anchor is a perfect symbol for you Taurus, because much like you it represents security, dedication and hope.

Gemini

Geminis never fail to leave an impression on the people they meet. In fact, Geminis are considered to be one of the most interesting signs (lucky you)!  If you’re a Gemini, chances are you’re an enthusiastic free spirit who doesn’t like to stay in the same place for very long. You bring sunshine and positivity to everyone, which might make you the “mom” of your friend group. The wave is a great way to symbolize your wanderlust nature, and if placed on your wrist it can serve as a constant reminder of your inner freedom.

Cancer

As a Cancer, you are full of contradictions. You crave attention and reassurance from others, but know you are capable of going at it alone. While your spontaneous nature helps keep things interesting, you make sure to balance your adventures with just the right amount of responsibility, which sure comes in handy when choosing between a night out on the town and a night in the library. The Ying Yang symbol sums you up perfectly, representing your ability to balance being independent when you have to be, and your constant need to be loved.

Leo

Leo, you’re the leader of the pack, and you aren’t afraid to let others know you mean business. Being straightforward and direct is your forte, you exude passion and fearlessness in everything you do. Your theme song is “Confident” by Demi Lovato, and you certainly aren’t afraid of being the center of attention at all times. The Leo girl knows how to work a room. A crown is the perfect tattoo for you. You’re a fair leader, and a loyal friend, and worthy of such a regal symbol.

Virgo

Virgos have a fierce intelligence that allows them to get things done, their own way. Virgo girls are straightforward, logical thinkers who are the go-to friends during a crisis. You’re a perfectionist, and like for everything to be just right, which may come in handy for making plans in the group chat. The Virgo girl is an ideal candidate for a killer internship, because she always has her life together--color-coded planner and all.  An owl suits Virgos very well, as a symbol of wisdom and knowledge.

Libra

If the signs were all Spice Girls, Libra would be Posh. You love doing new, exciting and unusual things, usually with equally as exciting people. Your friends can always count on you to see the beauty in others, and you’re a fierce lady from head-to-toe. Libra girls make great bloggers, because they’re always improving and tweaking their own personal #brand and style. You’ve got a lot of flair, so a peacock is the perfect symbol for you. You know just how to ruffle some feathers (literally) and to show off when necessary.

Scorpio

If you know a Scorpio, chances are she’s always keeping you on your toes…because Scorpio girls are intense little creatures. Scorpio, you are no damsel in distress, and you make that perfectly clear to potential significant others. For this sign, power and mystery are key traits. For you, keep it classic with your zodiac symbol. Your strong, commanding personality is represented well by the scorpion, a small but mighty animal with the power to shock and amaze. The tiny stinger at the end of the symbol shows others that you’re nothing to mess with, and let’s face it, you’re a badass.

Sagittarius

The Sagittarius girl is always seeking new adventures and new ways to explore the world around her...even if she has to explore it alone. You thrive off freedom, independence, and are always kind to others. Of all the zodiac signs, you’re the “wild child,” and you’re proud of it. A Sagittarius girl loves deep, philosophical conversations about life, making her a great guest for a girl’s wine night in. Coordinates to your favorite vacation spot or even a tiny, minimalist world map are sure to keep your wanderlust spirit alive, and let others know that you’re always up for a road trip.

Capricorn

The Capricorn girl is definitely the girl you want in your group project. She is a leader and will most likely take over, because it’s just who she is. Chances are, a Capricorn is three steps ahead of everyone else. She’s a self-starter, and dreams of becoming her own boss one day. She values her professional life, and is definitely a good friend to bring to a networking event (she’ll also probably look over your resume if you ask). The Capricorn girl is an expert at time management, making a clock tattoo the perfect reminder that time is hers to own, and that time is money.

Aquarius

Aquarius girls are particularly conscious of the world around them, and they live for serving and helping others. Your imagination is always running wild, and your curiosity always leads you into interesting situations. Aside from that, the Aquarius girl thinks outside the box, and uses her inherent creativity to go about the world and solve problems in a unique way. Your friends can count on you to bring the ~good vibes~.  The dove represents the Aquarius girl well, as they both promote peace, love and harmony.

Pisces

Intuition and compassion are two key characteristics of the Pisces girl. She is most likely the one to volunteer in her spare time, and is always up for a charity event. Pisces like to see the best in people, and always give others the benefit of the doubt..even when they don’t deserve it. You’re a hopeless romantic, and definitely seek long, meaningful relationships over hook ups. Pisces love to get in touch with their artistic side, and are inherently musically inclined, making the Treble clef a tasteful, timeless way to represent this sign.

HC Wake-Up Call: Two Dead in a Walmart Shooting, Buildings Across U.S. Light Up for Vegas Victims & Hourglass Cosmetics Is Going Totally Vegan

Good morning Her Campus! With a break-neck news cycle, there is no possible way for you to stay on top of every story that comes across your feeds—we’re all only human, after all.

But, life comes at you fast. So grab a cup of coffee and settle in for this quick and dirty guide to stories you might’ve been sleeping on (like, literally. It’s early.)

Walmart Shooting Leaves Two Dead

CNN reports that two men were killed Wednesday night in a shooting inside a Walmart Supercenter in a suburb of Denver, Colorado. Police confirmed that in addition to the two fatalities, one woman was hospitalized, while the store was evacuated. An employee said that he heard at least five or six gunshots as the incident began. This is no longer an active shooter situation, but no specific information about suspects has been released as of Wednesday night.

Buildings Across the Country Will Light Up Orange for Las Vegas Victims

Starting on Nov. 1, the one-month anniversary of the Las Vegas shooting, at least 52 buildings in 19 different states will light up in orange for 58 nights in honor of the shooting's 58 victims. The New York Times says that the idea came from Scott Rechler, the chief executive of RXR Realty, a company that owns and operates several New York buildings. Working with the nonprofit Everytown for Gun Safety, Rechler said that the decision was made to continue awareness of gun control and violence. "I began to realize that maybe this is a way to make a statement to keep it in people's minds, that it hasn't been resolved," he said.

Participating buildings include New York's 4 Times Square, Oklahoma City's Skydance Pedestrian Bridge and the San Diego Museum of Man.

Hourglass Cosmetics Will Become 100 Percent Vegan

Cruelty-free makeup fans love Hourglass Cosmetics for some of its animal-friendly products, but the company has now announced its goal for all of its products to be 100 percent vegan by 2020, with all proceeds contributing to the Nonhuman Rights Project. Fittingly, the news broke on World Vegan Day. While some of Hourglass's currently vegan products include the Vanish Seamless Foundation Stick and the Ambient Lighting Palette, products expected to make the switch by 2020 are the Gel Eye Liners and Modernist Eyeshadow Palette. Props to Hourglass for making the effort to be cruelty-free!

What to look out for...

Ladies, your lives are forever changed. The first Thursday in November, which happens to be today, is known as National Men Make Dinner Day. I didn't know this was a thing, but I'm all about it. Created in 2001, the special day even has its own set of rules for the men's culinary endeavors, including that they must shop for all ingredients and clean up as they cook. You're welcome.

Oh No, Rick Perry Said Something Gross About Fossil Fuel-Use Preventing Sexual Assault

Trump administration Energy Secretary Rick Perry spoke with Chuck Todd of Meet the Press and Axios CEO and founder Jim Vandhei on Thursday about his recent trip to Africa, according to The Hill, and things got weird. The focus of the interview was supposed to be on energy policy and the expansion of fossil fuel use. However, Perry took a sort of weird turn by asserting that sexual assault could be prevented by the increased use of fossil fuels in the region of Africa he had recently visited.

First, Perry noted that the use of fossil fuels in remote African villages will have a “positive role” in peoples’ lives and told the story of a young girl he met who said often times she read by the fire which has toxic fumes, explaining why energy is very important to her.

Perry did not stop there, though, and took the uncomfortable leap into the issue of sexual assault: "But also from the standpoint of sexual assault, when the lights are on, when you have light that shines, the righteousness, if you will on those types of acts.”

Critics of Perry were quick to point out how the comments seemed to opportunistically use recent cultural conversations around sexual assault in order to bolster his argument in favor of fossil fuels — and how it felt extremely insensitive and inauthentic.

Meanwhile, others pointed out that his position — which was already problematic for assuming that you can just turn the lights on and solve a larger systemic problem like sexual assault —also ignores the realities of developing countries embracing renewable energy sources and wrongly equates "electricity" with "fossil fuels."

Correct us if we’re wrong, Mr. Secretary, but sexual assault prevention is better off beginning with teaching people to not sexually assault other people and holding sexual assailants accountable. Your push for fossil fuel expansion is totally irrelevant here.

What To Do When You’re Having Doubts About Your Major

College is hard. Deciding on a major is sometimes even harder. So what do you do when you’re having doubts about your career path? What about when you’re close to graduation and you’re dreading what lies ahead? First things first, relax. Thousands of college students have been in your shoes before and here’s what some of them had to say when they were having doubts about their major.

1. Talk to a counselor

A counselor’s purpose on a college campus is to guide you into the world so that you can be a productive member of society. Part of doing so requires that you enter into a field that you enjoy. Elaina Steingard, a senior journalism major at the University of Missouri says, “Talk to a guidance counselor and look into other major options and career paths. If you’re dreading your classes within your major, talk to a counselor about what needs to be done in order to switch.” Mandy Bailes, an employee in the advising office at the University of Missouri says online quizzes are also a good route to go when you’re unsure about your major. “Online quizzes (such as StrengthsQuest) focus on your five biggest strengths and give you options for majors that would be good for your personality. [StrengthsQuest] also gives you study tips and future jobs you may be interested in.”

2. Talk to older students in your major

They know better than anyone about what it takes to do well in your major. Try to be unbiased when asking for their opinions. If everyone you talk to hates biology, however, then chances are you won’t find reasons to love it. You most likely won’t love everything about your major, but if the good things outweigh the bad then that’s something to consider. Katie Roberts, a student at the University of Missouri, did this when she was starting out in her program. “Before each semester I would ask the older girls in my chapter who were in journalism how they liked a class. I would lean on them and ask for guidance with my schedule and teacher preference. Their input definitely made an impact.”

Related: Should I Drop A Class? How to Decide Whether to Stick It Out or Drop It

3. Take an elective to test out a new major

If you can’t decide between two things that you may be interested in then you should take one of the subjects as a class elective. You will probably receive credit for the course while figuring out if it is something you could see yourself doing after graduation. Hannah Hart, a student at Auburn University, says, “This is probably the best option for someone with doubts about their major. Worse case scenario would be they end up with a minor.” Or, they could end up graduating with a double major, which could be just what you need to succeed.

4. Go to the career center

The career center offers tons of resources aside from talking with an advisor. Here you can network with possible employers, participate in mock interviews, work on your resume and discuss future plans with a career specialist, which is different from an academic advisor. Katherine Barton, a senior at Auburn University, had doubts about her major. “Going to the career center really helped and now I am going to law school after I graduate,” she says.

5. Make a pro/con list

Take some time to make a list of the things you love and hate about your current major. It helps to visually see what things you could deal with and what things may be deal breakers. You could also do the same for another major you are thinking of switching over to.

6. Talk to your parents

Your parents know everything about you and would hopefully steer you in the right professional direction. Bounce ideas off of them; they may need some time to get used to you switching career paths, but at the end of the day they just want you to be happy.

Having doubts about your major is nothing to be ashamed of. The best thing you can do for yourself in this situation is know that no matter the major, there will be times when it is difficult, time-consuming or stressful. Just make sure you are happy in whatever field you choose because if you love your job, that makes going to work that much better.

The Weeknd Was Reportedly the One Who Broke Things Off With Selena Gomez, & Now I Have Even More Questions

The shocking news of Selena Gomez and The Weeknd's split has been on everyone's mind, especially with the constant reports that Sel has been hanging out with ex Justin Bieber again. Now, TMZ is claiming it was The Weeknd who called it quits.

Though the couple's breakup just came out earlier this week, The Weeknd and Selena have reportedly been having issues with their busy schedules since the summer, so The Weeknd called Selena to end things, saying it "was no longer working for him," TMZ reports. Once again, Justin is allegedly not the reason the relationship ended. I guess it's fair to end a relationship you aren't happy with, but it all just seemed to happen so fast.

How is Selena handling the breakup? Us Weekly claims that though she did love The Weeknd, Justin has always remained in her heart. "Selena was happy with [The Weeknd]," a source told the magazine. "Justin always had her heart and attention. He was always her soulmate and her one true love. Selena and Justin realized it was time to grow past their history and move on. They’ve grown up a lot in the past couple of years and are mature about the situation."

So is Jelena rising once again? “It’s definitely a possibility that they could get back together,” the source said. “It’ll be a long situation and there won't be a decision made tomorrow, and it’ll be a lot of back and forth, but ultimately, [their] friends think it will end up in that direction.”

Well, isn't all of this interesting? I think we'll just have to sit back and see how it all unfolds. Whatever happens, I hope both The Weeknd and Selena are happy. That's what matters most.

Nothing Can Prepare You for These Super Realistic Pimple Popping Nails

Content warning: this manicure isn’t for the faint of heart. I’m going to be honest , if you haven’t had your afternoon coffee yet, this just may not be for you.

Still here? Well, if you believed that 2017 couldn’t get any worse, you were wrong, because pimple popping nails are a thing now. We never realized how good we had it in 2016! We kept pimples to ourselves back then. Now is the dark time, and it all started with the rise of Dr. Pimple Popper. I’m not going to lie, I was strangely fascinated along with the rest of the world. There was something about the grotesque nature of every single pimple that reminded me those few blackheads on my nose really aren’t that bad––and suddenly we all became comfortable with other people's problem skin. For something so natural that had always been a taboo (especially during middle school), it was amazing to see how quick we all were to celebrate the gross

Then came the ~pimple cupcakes~. It's one thing to watch a video of a pimple, and another thing to eat a fake (but horribly realistic) version of one. These cupcakes allowed you to squeeze a simulation whitehead out, then enjoy the rest as a treat after. NO. Obviously cupcakes weren’t enough, and now, people have created a pimple-obsessed accessory they can wear all the time. Cue pimple popping nails

Youtuber Natasha Lee designed these unique pimply popping nails, and even made an easy-to-follow DIY video so that you can create your own. She used banana cream to create the “puss” effect, and put the cream under a thick coat of hard nail glue so that the “zit” had something to “pop” out of. *cringes*

To add to the effect, she used red nail polish and designed the entire area to look eerily like a ready-to-pop whitehead. Could you imagine wearing these in real life? When would you choose to pop them––in class? Waiting for coffee? On a date? Would you save them for a big occasion or just let them pop naturally on their own for the full effect?

While I don't think that I'll be sporting these anytime soon, kudos to Lee for potentially starting the weirdest/most detailed beauty trend of the year.

Just when you thought there was an Instagram account for everything, @therosequeenn proved us all wrong by creating a feed dedicated to annihilating Lush bath bombs. It’s strangely the most calming and addictive thing we've ever seen (other than Cole Sprouse's Insta, for obvious reasons).

As HelloGiggles discovered, @therosequeenn posts tons of videos of your fav bath bombs dissolving in water, which is perfect for those us who love watching bath bombs fizzle but don’t have the funds to indulge in a low-key obsession.

After all, who wouldn’t be mesmerized by this thunder snow bath bomb crackle and fizz?

If you don’t think watching a bath bomb slowly dissolve in water utterly soothing, the account also cuts up Lush’s bubble bars––because why not? Whether this supplements your Lush addiction or motivates you to take the bath you deserve, there's no shame in admitting you could watch this for days. And hey, maybe @therosequeenn also has some nifty trick for demolishing the company's toothy tabs!

Gigi Hadid Called This Islamophobic Twitter User a 'F--king Moron'

Add Gigi Hadid to the list of celebrities with the power to fire back at haters on Twitter. In light of the terror attack in New York City on Monday, journalist Laura Loomer made some offensive comments about women in hijabs on Twitter, and Gigi didn’t let it slide.

Loomer began by tweeting a picture of two women in hijabs with the caption, "Muslims are out in full force at the scene of the NYC #ISIS attack today rubbing it in everyone's face. Aimlessly walking around in hijabs."

As if that wasn't bad enough, she later tweeted, "You'd think they'd have the decency to not walk around in hijabs @ cross street of the attack. But they don't. I bet they're loving this."

Gigi didn't stay silent, though. She responded, "Laura, I hate to give you the attention, but I need to tell you- You're a f**king moron."

Fans flooded Gigi's Twitter with words of support, thanking her for using her platform to take a stance.

This just goes to show you don't want to mess with Gigi. She hits back.

Miley Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth Are Wearing Promise Rings on *That* Finger, So Everyone Thinks They're Married

Just when I thought Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth couldn't get any cuter, they go and spend a romantic weekend in the place where their relationship began. The lovebirds have been hanging out on Tybee Island in Savannah, Georgia, where they filmed Nicolas Sparks' The Last Song in 2009, the Daily Mail reports. As the couple strolled the streets, rode some jet skis and reminisced on where they first met, I could only focus on one thing: the matching jewelry on *that* finger.

Life is way cooler in cartoon.

A post shared by Liam Hemsworth (@liamhemsworth) on

As PEOPLE reports, the pair have been sporting the bands (the outlet calls them "promise rings") for some time, but they haven't gotten married yet. While the couple was engaged once before in 2012, it seems that their on-again, off-again romance, Miley's temporary identity crisis, and the years they spent apart have encouraged them to do things a little differently this time.

In September, Miley admitted that she and her beau have yet to make any serious wedding plans. As she told The Sun on Sunday newspaper, "I don't envision marriage. I'm 24. I hope I get to live a little bit more. I have too much living to do [before I get married]." The singer continued, "Three years ago, if you'd asked me if I'd be here, this happy with this man, I'd have been stunned. I'm just riding this out. In some relationships, you lose yourself by being with someone else. Actually, it made me find myself more. I have no idea what the next three years will bring, but if it's possible to get even happier, I'll take it."

As much as fans would love to see the pair make their happy ending official, it looks like it's going to be a while before anyone says "I do." But if their promise rings signify anything, it's that Miley and Liam's relationship is stronger than ever.

Excerpts From Donna Brazile's Book Take Aim At Clinton, Obama & The Primaries

Former interim chairperson for the Democratic National Committee, Donna Brazile will release her book Hacks: The Inside Story of the Break-ins and Breakdowns that Put Donald Trump In the White House, on November 7 of this year. According to Publishers Weekly, the book, “outlines Brazile’s response to a “wholly unprecedented attempt by a foreign power to influence a presidential election.” The book will also look at Hillary Clinton’s response to the Russian intrusion and to the tactics of her Republican opponent, Donald Trump.” The book will also include Brazile’s frontline insight into what she saw behind the closed doors of the Democratic National Committee, but not without taking aim at a few key players in the party.

On Thursday Politco released excerpts from the book that briefly explained what Brazile saw throughout her time as interim chairperson of the Democratic National Committee for the 2016 Presidential election.

When Brazile took over the committee, her predecessor, Florida Representative, Debbie Wasserman Schultz had been struggling. “Debbie was not a good manager. She hadn’t been very interested in controlling the party- she let Clinton’s headquarters in Brooklyn do as it desired so she didn’t have to inform the party officers how bad the situation was.”  Under Representative Wasserman Schultz’s leadership the, the DNC was reportedly left in “$24 million of debt - $15 million in bank debt and more than $8 million owed to vendors after the 2012 campaign.”  Thus, leaving Brazile with quite the mess to clean up, or at least find out what caused the debt to pile up.

When a major political party chooses their nominee, it is custom that the nominee and their team gain more control over the party and the committee in which they are running in connection with. However, in the case of the 2016 Presidential election, there were no incumbent candidates, and front runners Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders were in an open contest for the nomination.

However, with the growing debt Brazile would uncover that the Clinton campaign and Wasserman-Schultz had come to an agreement that would not be illegal, but certainly unethical:  “I had tried to search out any other evidence of internal corruption that would show that the DNC was rigging the system to throw the primary to Hillary, but I could not find any in party affairs or among the staff. I had gone department by department, investigating individual conduct for evidence of skewed decisions, and I was happy to see that I had found none. Then I found this agreement.”

The agreement outlined that Clinton would fundraise for the DNC and in response her team would, “control the party’s finances, strategy, and all the money raised. Her campaign had the right of refusal of who would be the party communications director, and it would make final decisions on all the other staff. The DNC also was required to consult with the campaign about all other staffing, budgeting, data, analytics, and mailings.” It’s important to note that this agreement was signed before the primaries and before a nominee for the democratic party was announced. Ultimately, giving Clinton control over the party before she became the official nominee.

Brazile then details the agonizing phone exchange she had to make with Senator Sanders to inform him of the official agreements she uncovered and her anger towards the entire situation that unfolded behind her back, on her watch. “Hello, senator. I’ve completed my review of the DNC and I did find the cancer,” I said. “But I will not kill the patient.”

Sanders and Brazile agreed that the decision was finalized and that the only way to move forward was to encourage voters to support Clinton, as the alternative candidate was far worse for the American people.

Her Campus has reached out for comment from Sanders, Clinton, Obama and Wasserman-Schultzs' camps.

Sarah Hyland Thinks Her 'Modern Family' Character Is Bisexual, & Fans Are On Board With It

Sarah Hyland just proved that even after nine seasons of Modern Family, fans still don't know everything about the show. On Wednesday, the actress responded to a fan theory that her character, eldest Dunphy sister Haley, is actually bisexual. Sarah revealed her thoughts in a tweet, writing, "I don’t know what the writers would say? But I confirm,” PEOPLE reports.

While the show's writers have yet to comment, fans are pretty stoked about the actress's stance. It may come as a shock, especially since Haley's love life has only involved men thus far. But as the responses show, a same sex romance would be welcomed by viewers.

In a more recent tweet, though, Sarah admitted that the fan theory may still be too good to be true. Apparently, her earlier confirmation reflects how Sarah herself sees Haley, and not necessarily how the character is written. "Just to clarify, havent been told nor is there anything written that would indicate Haley is bisexual. That's just my personal opinion!"

Is it possible that the writers' opinions match Sarah's?

KJ Apa Reflects on His Car Crash: 'It Was a Blessing in Disguise'

While nobody wants to get into a car crash, Riverdale’s KJ Apa opened up to Esquire about how his recent accident was actually a “blessing in disguise.”

Property of riverdale high. Happy Halloween!

A post shared by KJ Apa (@kjapa) on

In late September, KJ fell asleep while driving and crashed his car into a light pole. He was making his 45-minute commute home after working on set for 14.2 hours—yes, 14.2 hours. “It was a mistake on my part,” KJ told Esquire. “I should have pulled over and gone to sleep instead of battling my way home.”

KJ wasn't hurt, but he learned a lesson. “It was a blessing in disguise,” KJ said of the wreck. “I came out unscathed, and I thank God that I’m okay—it could have been a lot worse.”

Actors are required to drive back and forth from the Riverdale set every day—a practice that was called into question following KJ's accident—but the actor thinks this requirement and his workday are reasonable. “The schedule didn’t change,” he said. “It’s still a requirement for the actors to drive to work, which is fair enough. The crew works longer than we do, and they have to drive back and forth to work every day.”

“It puts things in perspective; when you’re driving home, you’ve got to be mindful and make sure your mind’s right and that you’re not tired,” KJ concluded.

I'm just glad my beloved Archie KJ is all right.

Drugstore vs. High-End: Which Makeup Products Are Worth the Extra Dollars?

One stroll into Sephora is all it takes to make you believe you suddenly need every new eyeshadow palette and matte lipstick within sight. But do you really need to buy all the high-end brand makeup products to create the most spectacular makeup looks? Drugstore brands may surprise you. There are tons of drugstore makeup products that can be just as good (or even better) as some high-end makeup brands. So here’s the complete guide to which makeup products you should splurge on and which you can find for a great deal at the drugstore.

Mascara: Drugstore

Believe it or not, there is a goldmine of gorgeous mascaras waiting for you at the drugstore! Many drugstore mascaras have formulas comparable to those of high-end brands. Some makeup geeks even prefer the drugstore brands over the high-end ones! Amanda Goecke, a senior at Carthage College, finds that drugstore mascaras have a lighter, more wearable formula compared to high-end mascaras. “I find myself using drugstore mascaras over high-end ones a lot—they just don’t clump as much for me and don’t feel as heavy,” Amanda says. Quality drugstore mascaras, like the classic Maybelline's Great Lash and Jordana's Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara can be as cheap as $5, so having beautifully long lashes don’t have to stretch your wallet!

Foundation: High-end

As with any art, a solid foundation is necessary to make your brilliant makeup work shine through! So it’s essential that you choose a foundation that fits your needs. Drugstores don’t usually let you test out the different foundation shades, and they typically carry a smaller range. If you run into trouble finding the right shade for your skin tone, consider going for higher-end brands where you can test the shades and get a broader range of colors. Women of color can especially run into trouble of finding the perfect foundation shade when there are not too many options.

Jovita George, a talented travel and beauty vlogger with her Youtube channel, MrJovitaGeorge, recommends high-end foundations for their shade options and environmental friendliness! "High-end foundations do perform better than a lot of drugstore foundations. And the best parts of high-end foundations are the shade variety and cruelty-free factor that lacks in drugstore foundations. But these days, a lot of drugstore brands like NYX, Milani & L.A Girl make bomb foundations too!" says George. There are still plenty of promising drugstore foundations that can compare with their high-end counterparts. If you don’t have a lot of trouble finding your shade just from looking at the color in the bottle, then you can definitely score a cheaper foundation with a sophisticated and flawless finish. However, your skin’s look and condition is your number one concern, it's worth the splurge to get a healthy, full coverage foundation in your perfect shade, it’s totally worth it!

Eyeliner: Drugstore

They say the eyes are the window to the soul, so make sure your windows are framed with a pigmented and smooth eyeliner. Drugstores nowadays sell a wide variety of eyeliners; whether your handiest with a pot and brush, a wand, or a pencil, there’s a perfect eyeliner for everyone. Not to mention, many drugstore eyeliner formulas are just as good as those of high-end eyeliners.

Shereen Jeyakumar, a junior at Florida Atlantic University, swears by drugstore eyeliners’ excellent quality and affordability. “I love getting eyeliner from the drugstore," says Shereen. "Brands like Revlon ColorStay are great. It’s much more cost-effective than a $20-25 MAC eyeliner, which isn’t that much better." Overall, the quality gap between high-end and drugstore eyeliner is not too wide when you spend at least $5 to $6, so you can save on a fabulous eyeliner by buying it at the drugstore!

Lipstick: High-end

A tinted lip can spice up any look while also keeping your lips soft and moisturized. When shopping for lipsticks, it’s all about personal preference. It’s ultimately up to you when it comes to what you want out of a lipstick. If you don’t mind a little transfer, a little drying or a little fading, then you can buy a beautiful drugstore lipstick with few worries in mind. On the other hand, if you’re particular about the feel, the finish and the chance of transfer of your lipstick, then consider splurging on some seriously good staple lipsticks.

Ramisa Chowdhury, a junior at the University of Central Florida, agrees that “for lipsticks, it’s probably better to get the high-end stuff because they look better and last longer. The Urban Decay Vice palette is amazing or just the single Vice lipsticks they have. The Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipsticks are great too!”. Going for high-end lipsticks can ensure you’re getting the best product for every-day use, which is definitely worth the extra dollars in our book.

Color Correctors: Drugstore

Color correctors are a more of a recent addition to our makeup routines, but they do wonders for hyperpigmentation, redness and dark circles! Using color correction on your problem areas can elevate the finish of your skin and make you look more evened out. Achieving that even and flawless look doesn't have to cost you major dollars though; drugstore color correctors will certainly do the job as well as the high-end ones can!

Color correctors are creamy pigments that you rub into your skin like a second concealer; they aren't made to be super bright, but rather to cancel out the colors on your face that you don't want to show through your foundation. Wet n Wild’s Photo Focus Correcting Palette is one of many well-pigmented yet subtle drugstore color correctors, and it’s only $3.99! If you’re open to buying drugstore cosmetics online, BH Cosmetics' awesome Studio Pro Perfecting color correcting palette is only $2.25 online! Finding a subtle but effective color corrector at the drugstore or online shouldn't be a challenge, just make sure to choose one with a formula that suits your skin best (whether that's a creamier corrector or a drier one).

Eyeshadow: High-end

Whether it's for an everyday look or a look for a night on the town, a well-pigmented eyeshadow can embolden your eyes with depth and color. While there may be a few awesome eyeshadows at your local drugstore, the majority lack the pigmentation that high-end brands have. Dyuti Peddapulli, a freshman at the University of Florida, says that it's a bit of a gamble to pick just any eyeshadow from the drugstore, even if it is in a higher price range. "Eyeshadow is tricky," says Dyuti. "Not all brands have good ones...they can be patchy at times, not very blendable and not pigmented enough." Reaching for a higher-end eyeshadow may pay off in that if an eyeshadow is more pigmented, then you don't have to use as much per application! That being said, that doesn't mean you absolutely have to splurge on a Naked palette; properly research which drugstore eyeshadow brands have the best rep and try to go for those specific products.

Blush: Drugstore

A bright yet subtle blush is perfect for breathing life back into your face. However, the blush tints you use can be the difference between looking like a rosy-cheeked goddess or IT’s clownish cousin. Luckily, the drugstore now has a great range of blush colors that can suit many different skin tones, and some can even surpass some high-end blush brands. "Believe it or not, drugstore blushes sometimes work better than high-end versions," says Jovita. "You get way too many color options and finishes in blush right there in the drugstore". You can go for bright corals like Nyx’s Rouge Cream Blush in Orange which are super pigmented and can suit all skin tones, or a classic pink like Covergirl TruBlend Blush in Light Rose which is rosy yet subtle. Not only do drugstores have some super pigmented blushes, but blushes are some of the cheapest drugstore makeup products you can get! Drugstore blushes can range as low $3, so achieving those perfect rosy cheeks doesn’t have to burn your budget.

Setting spray / Finishing powder: High-end

Setting sprays and finishing powders are your best friends when it comes to making sure your makeup stays in place. Drugstore powders and sprays, like eyeshadows, are a bit of a hit or miss. Powders are especially tricky if they don't have the finishing you're looking for, whether that’s matching your skin, brightening your skin or being purely translucent. While there may be some diamonds in the rough, going for a high-end spray or powder is usually worth the price. Since setting sprays and powders are products you'll use almost every time you put on makeup to make reapplication less necessary, it's worth investing in a product that will ensure your good makeup stays looking its best! Jovita recommends "[spending] more money on skin/base products like primer, foundation, concealer & setting spray. Even some basic eye makeup like eyeliner & mascara has to be from reputed brands, not necessarily from "high-end" brands. When it comes to everything else, I think drugstore makeup fares just as well as high-end makeup!"

A good rule of thumb is to research specific products thoroughly and to spend more money on the products you truly believe are worth investing in. Ultimately, you are the artist and these are your supplies, so use what you believe will result in the most beautiful makeup look you can create! Ellen DeGeneres Is the Reason Channing Tatum's Dad Knows He Was a Stripper

If you're even remotely familiar with Channing Tatum, you know that he worked as a stripper before hitting it big in 2006’s Step Up. Channing has always been forthcoming about his past and has worked on several projects related to his previous career, including the Magic Mike films and the Vegas Magic Mike Live show, which opened earlier this year.

However, while filling in for Jimmy Kimmel on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and interviewing Ellen DeGeneres, Channing revealed that his father only learned of his stripper past after Tatum gave Ellen a lap dance on her show in 2010.

Channing looked back on the experience saying, “That was my very first time on your show, and I got to let you know that that was the very first time my dad actually found out that I was a stripper for a short time.” Yikes! Finding out a secret about your child on national television?!

Ellen, of course, asked a follow-up question: How did Channing's dad take the news? “Not well…Really, really not well,” Tatum responded.

Hopefully Channing’s father has recovered from this surprise.

Watch These 'Stranger Things' Audition Tapes & Try Not to 'Aww!' Over How Cute the Kids Are

Once again, Stranger Things has taken over the pop culture scene. Since Season 2 dropped on Netflix last Friday, it seems like the normal greeting of “Hello, how are you?” has been replaced with the phrase “Have you watched Stranger Things yet?”

If you have finished Season 2, you're probably wondering what you're supposed to watch until the show (hopefully) returns. Well, Netflix has the answer to that question: Beyond Stranger Things. The spinoff, now streaming, shows behind-the-scenes footage and cast interviews. The first episode features the original audition tapes of Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLoughlin and Gaten Matarazzo. Prepare for cuteness!

The compilation video showcases just how talented these kids are. Wolfhard, who plays Mike, filmed his intense scene while sick in bed, for crying out loud.

Basically, in case you didn't know, the Stranger Things kids are matchless talents.

UPDATE: Trump's Twitter Account Disappeared for Several Minutes & the Internet Obviously Loved It

For the briefest of moments on Thursday night, it looked like 2017 was finally taking a positive turn. As reported by ABC News, President Donald Trump's Twitter account disappeared for about five minutes, providing a sense of relief that I'm sure many people needed.

The president's page vanished shortly before 7 p.m. Eastern time and less than a half hour after Trump's last tweet, which addressed his nomination of Jerome Powell to the Federal Reserve's chairman position. The account reappeared at approximately 7:04 with no evident changes made.

Despite how brief the page's outage was, the Internet was obviously quick to celebrate its absence. You can always count on Twitter for some entertainment.

Trump returned to tweet about an hour after the restoration, but covered the day's tax cut rollout rather than why his account disappeared. Several Twitter users believe that the outage was a result of Robert Mueller backing up the page's history for his Special Counsel investigation of Russia's involvement in the 2016 presidential election.

Here's to 2017's newest unsolved mystery.

UPDATE: Twitter has clarified that the account's brief deactivation was due to an "employee error." The company says that it is investigating the situation to ensure it won't happen again.

Later, the company confirmed that the employee deactivated Trump's account on his or her last day working at Twitter.
