Chrissy Metz Doesn't Think Chris Sullivan's 'This Is Us' Fat Suit Hurts Toby's Authenticity

$

You might not know this, but Chris Sullivan wears a fat suit to play Toby on This Is Us. Some people feel that this takes away from Toby's authenticity, but Chrissy Metz, who plays Kate, thinks otherwise.

“We tested a lot of gentlemen who were bigger, and I get it—people think the authenticity is kind of ruined by that,” she said on Watch What Happens Live. “But Chris has been heavier, so I think he understands the plight of being overweight.”

Metz explained that wearing a fat suit is no different than wearing a prosthetic nose. She wore one herself when she played “fat lady” Ima Barbara Wiggles on American Horror Story: Freak Show.

“I wore a very large couch, basically,” she admitted. “A prosthetic suit. It’s just kind of the name of the game!”

Fat suit or no fat suit, nothing could keep us from loving Toby—especially when he and Kate are together.

Hillary Clinton & Kate McKinnon Had Dinner, Which is the Epitome of GOALS

Kate McKinnon's impersonation of Hillary Clinton on Saturday Night Live has created lots of buzz. So much that Clinton even popped up in a sketch with McKinnon in 2015.

Now, the women are making SNL fans' dreams come true: Us Weekly reports that McKinnon and Clinton had dinner in NYC Wednesday night. The two met up at Orso in Manhattan, and everything about their hang sounds like GOALS.

“Lots of laughter emanated from their table,” an onlooker told the New York Post's Page Six. "They seemed very nice and friendly and had a quiet dinner. Somebody else in the restaurant came over and gave Hillary a hand-written letter.”

Can you imagine?! We hope to see more of this duo hanging out, and we definitely expect to see more Hillary impersonations from McKinnon.

Two weeks ago, writer Vicky Silva of Her Campus at Cal State LA wrote "An Open Letter to Senator Kamala Harris," asking her to keep fighting against unjust policies from the Trump administration. Read Sen. Harris's response below.

Dear Vicky,

Thank you for your letter and your willingness to speak out. It is important that your voice is heard.

I believe we are at an inflection point in the history of this country when our actions will determine what kind of nation we are and what the future of America holds. Will we embrace our history as a nation that welcomes immigrants who strengthen our economy and our communities? Or will we shut our doors to those fleeing oppression, violence, or in search of a better life.

Will we build on the progress we’ve made toward affordable health care for all people, including the right for women to make their own health care decisions? Or will we eliminate the protections that have helped keep millions of young people on their family plans until age 26 and prevented insurance discrimination.

Vicky, like you, I am concerned about the future but more resolved than ever to take up the fight. I am heartened by young people like you who are standing up too.

You have a powerful voice. Stay involved in the problems that are facing your community and make your opinions known to those in places of power. We have already seen what it looks like when millions of Americans come together and demonstrate who we are. Keep it up. You inspire me.

Thanks,

Senator Kamala D. Harris

The First Photos from Anna Kendrick's Wedding Rom-Com 'Table 19' Are Perfectly Adorkable

I'm always looking for a new movie to fall in love with, and if it involves Anna Kendrick, I'm automatically in. Add Lisa Kudrow, June Squibb, Craig Robinson and a plot about a wedding, and just try to drag me away. In my time of need, Table 19 has come along to give us all that and more.

Out March 3, Table 19 centers around ex-maid of honor Eloise (Kendrick), who has been dumped via text by the best man and sequestered at the "randoms" table at a wedding reception. Table 19 is reserved exclusively for guests who should've known to send their regrets—along with a tasteful gift from the registry, of course. The group of misfits soon bond, resulting in friendships, secret-sharing and of course, romance. It is a wedding movie, after all.

Take a peek at these exclusive photos from the film.

The pics are enough to get me excited about Table 19, but I highly suggest you watch the trailer, too.

Remember how the internet went nuts when people discovered that the colored square on the cap of the e.l.f lipstick tube popped off? Turns out, the same thing happens with the NYX Pin-Up Pout Lipstick! At the top of the cap, where it shows the color of the lipstick inside the tube, you can pop it open and find some color in there. The color is lighter than the actual lipstick and has a little shine to it. It gives the creamy lipstick a glossy finish! Allure editors noticed this awesome feature while swatching the lipsticks on Facebook Live.

For $7.99, this two-in-one lippie a pretty good deal! Plus you can get it at any drugstore or NYX store near you. Also, the brand is having sale on lipsticks until February 20 at nyxcosmetics.com. Run, beauty junkies, run!

Kim Kardashian Reportedly Wants to Return to Paris for Fashion Week

You definitely remember Kim Kardashian getting robbed this past October at her Paris apartment. It was a traumatic event that lead to Kim’s absence on social media and trying times for the Kardashian-West family. According to People, however, Kim already plans to return to Paris for Fashion Week at the end of February.

Kendall Jenner, Kim’s younger sister, will be walking in multiple runway shows in Paris, and her husband, Kanye West, is eager to participate in Fashion Week events as well. In classic Kardashian family style, it makes sense that Kim would want to go to show her support.

Sources told People that since the robbery five months ago, Kim and Kanye seem to be doing “much better” and that Kim is “much happier.”

It might seem a little crazy for Kim to want to return to Paris so soon, but it’s also understandable considering her lifestyle and business connections. Let’s face it, who would pass up an opportunity to go to Fashion Week?

Whatever the reason may be, we’ll be wishing Kim the best during her time in Paris.

The Trumps' Frequent Travels May Cost Taxpayers Millions of Dollars

$

Donald Trump has been president barely a month, but the unusually lavish lifestyle he and the rest of the First Family lead is already creating massive security and financial-related strains.

The Washington Post reports that this weekend, President Trump and his entourage will fly down to Mar-a-Lago, his club in Palm Beach, Fla. for the third week in a row. His two sons Eric and Donald Jr. also plan to fly to the United Arab Emirates for the grand opening of a Trump-brand golf resort. First Lady Melania Trump and the couple's son Barron are hanging out at Trump Tower in Manhattan until Barron finishes the school year, as the Post previously reported. On top of all of this, a Trump golf course in a tiny New Jersey town is bracing itself to be “a sort of northern White House for as many as 10 weekends a year.” Does this seem like a tad much? If it doesn't, remember that Trump and his entire family require protection—the Secret Service will accompany Trump to Mar-a-Lago and his sons to the UAE, while the New York police protect Melania and Barron—and the money for that comes from taxpayers.

Security officials, as well as the communities in places where the Trumps want to travel and live, are dealing with a lot—It isn't easy or cheap to protect the president. White House officials have not specifically responded to questions about the concern over cost and potential conflict in President Trump’s early and frequent traveling, but the three trips to Mar-a-Lago were estimated to cost about $10 million in total. However, White House spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham did tell the Post in the beginning of the week that “Trump is always working, even when he has left Washington behind.”

The president's constant travels make his previous and frequent critiques of President Obama’s traveling habits look a little silly. Trump once called Obama a '"habitual vacationer' enjoying taxpayer-funded golf getaways," according to the Post. During his campaign in 2015, Trump was even quoted as saying that he would “rarely leave the White House because there’s so much work to be done.”

Despite what he may have said almost two years ago, Trump's first four weeks of presidency indicate that he may rack up hundreds of millions of dollars more in security detail and travel than Obama ever did. That definitely can't be good, but here's hoping that Trump may change his ways once he fully settles into the position.

Trump Seemed to Insinuate That All Black People Know Each Other & Told a Jewish Reporter to Be Quiet At Thursday's Press Conference

President Donald Trump held his first solo news conference Thursday and his comments and actions left the Internet seething, to say the least.

As reported by Buzzfeed News, reporter April Ryan asked Trump if he would meet with the Congressional Black Caucus. Trump’s response? He asked if the Congressional Black Caucus were friends of Ryan’s. “Well, I would. I tell you what, you want to set up the meeting? Do you want to set up the meeting? Are they friends of yours?” said Trump.

Even after Ryan explained that she was a reporter, Trump still insisted and said, “Let’s go, set up a meeting. I would love to meet with the black caucus. I think it’s great. The Congressional Black Caucus. I think it’s great.”

The internet was understandably and unsurprisingly unhappy with the exchange and took to Twitter to express their disdain.

April Ryan also had something to say and she tweeted a response to Trump.

At the same press conference, Trump also called a Jewish reporter a liar and told him to sit down after the reporter asked him about a rise in anti-Semitism.

Jake Turx, the senior White House correspondent for Jewish publication Ami Magazine, asked how Trump’s administration would respond to bomb threats issued against dozens of Jewish community centers last month, according to Buzzfeed News. Trump said that question was not “simple or fair” and told Turx to sit down. He also called Turx a liar and went on a rant about being attacked and called anti-Semitic.

“See, he lied about—he was going to get up and ask a very straight, simple question. So, you know, welcome to the world of the media,” Trump said. “I hate the charge. I find it repulsive. I hate even the question because people that know me—and you heard the Prime Minister, you heard Benjamin Netanyahu, did you hear him, Bibi? He said, ‘I’ve known Donald Trump for a long time,’ and then he said, ‘Forget it.’ So you should take that instead of having to get up and ask a very insulting question like that.”

The internet obviously had something to say about this exchange as well.

Josh Hutcherson Describes What It Was Like to Hear Selena Gomez 'Give Birth'

We all love Josh Hutcherson. Not quite as lovable? The sound of childbirth. Josh found this out firsthand on the set of In Dubious Battle.

The film—based on the book by John Steinbeck, exploring the aftermath of 900 migrant workers who went on strike—also stars Selena Gomez, whose character gives birth. For some reason, Josh decided to describe Selena's delivery of the, well, delivery in a new interview with E! News.

"She went for it. I wasn’t in that scene but I was on set and you could [hear] her screaming and going for it a f–king half-mile away. She really went all in,” Hutcherson says.

No surprise there, considering Gomez has proved her acting ability time and time again. Now, are there any other BTS secrets you'd like to share with us, Josh?

The College Student Has Been Suspended For Secretly Recording His Professor's Anti-Trump Comments

Orange Coast College student Caleb O’Neil was suspended after he secretly video-recorded his professor’s rant on President Trump, according to The Los Angeles Times.

O’Neil recorded his professor Olga Perez Stable Cox in December calling the president’s election an "act of terrorism." O’Neil had sent the video to the college’s Republican group to share, after which it went viral online, The Daily Mail reports.

“I pulled my phone out to record it because I was honestly scared that it would affect my grades because she knew I was a Trump supporter,” O’Neil said at a press conference Wednesday.

Cox, who is gay, referred to Trump as a “white supremacist” and to Pence as “one of the most anti-gay humans in this country" in the video.

The college claimed O’Neil had violated their district policy, the L.A. Times reports. The school plans to suspend him for one semester, and he has to write an apology to the professor and an essay explaining why he chose to film the class.

According to his attorney William Becker of Freedom X law firm, O’Neil has appealed the decision. A notice of appeal on Freedom X’s website states that “the sanctions imposed on Caleb are both excessive and discriminatory.”

Students across campus and nationwide have shared their opinions on the issue. Some rally behind O’Neil’s choice to share the video, while others think he should have addressed his concerns to the professor directly instead of recording the lecture without permission.

Until an official decision on the appeal is made, O’Neil will be allowed to continue attending classes.

This Hashtag Celebrates Disabled People in the Best Way

Pretty much everyone struggles with body confidence, in a society where beauty standards are deeply ingrained and often harmful. As a disabled person, it can be difficult to see beauty within yourself as you might feel compelled to compare yourself to what others define as beautiful. That's why Keah Brown, a disabled Teen Vogue writer, created the now-viral hashtag #DisabledAndCute, encouraging disabled people of all genders and walks of life to share a selfie of their adorable, disabled bodies.

After this tweet, so many people started using the hashtag. People are demonstrating that having a disability is just a part of life—it doesn't stop you from being cute!

Yes honey! Give us sass!

So inspiring.

Oh hey girl!

Self-love is so important! This is why I love Twitter.

People Are Getting Freckles Tattooed On Their Face—Here's Why

For the longest time, women have been scrambling to find products that will lighten or cover up their freckles, often considered an "imperfection" by popular media. But now, Montreal-based tattoo artist Gabrielle Rainbow is shaking up the beauty world with her revolutionary tattooing technique called "freckling." Following in the footsteps of other new tattoo trends such as microblading, "freckling" involves injecting semi-permanent dye around the cheeks and nose to create natural looking faux-freckles. The freckles come out a little bumpy and swollen at first, but heal quickly (only a few hours!) to reveal a gorgeous new smattering of speckles. The freckles continue to slowly fade and only need upkeep every couple of months.

As a freckle-face myself, I'm elated that people are starting to embrace their skin's natural textures and coloration. Will this be the start of a bigger trend in "au-natural" beauty? I hope so! More of this, please:

A Texas Senator Shattered a Glass Table While Trying to Silence Pro-Choice Testimony

In order to end a witness's testimony against an anti-abortion bill, Texas Senator Charles Schwertner, chairman of the Senate Health and Human Services Committee, slammed his gavel so hard that he shattered the glass on a table where the senators and witnesses were gathered.

Schwertner spent Wednesday morning introducing and defending a bill that would prohibit women from donating fetal tissue from their abortions to science, as San Antonio Current reports. Along with this piece of legislation were two other anti-abortion bills: "one to throw out the safest abortion procedure for second-trimester pregnancies and the other to mandate all abortion remains are buried and cremated," according to the Current.

"I'm here on behalf of all absent women, families and doctors across the state whose lives will be negatively impacted by this bill," Maggie Hennessy, an intern with NARAL Pro-Choice Texas, began her testimony.

"This bill is full of false, medically inaccurate, ideological language designed to further stigmatize and shame women receiving abortion care. It’s an outright ban on the safest abortion method for some patients. In order to obtain care that is not banned by this bill, women would be forced to undergo an additional, invasive and unnecessary medical procedure, even against the medical judgment of their physician," Hennessy continued, referring to SB 415, the bill that would prohibit the safest abortion procedure for second-trimester pregnancies, The Slot reports.

According to San Antonio Current, after only a minute of testimony, Schwertner interrupted, saying, "Ms. Hennessy, your time is done." But Hennessy kept speaking, finally finishing, "I urge you all to stop playing with reproductive health care as if it's your own political puppet."

It was at that moment when Schwertner brought down the gavel so hard that the glass on the table shattered.

Alexa Garcia-Ditta, communications and policy initiatives director at NARAL Pro-Choice Texas, drew attention to the incident when she posted a photo of the broken glass on Twitter, according to The Slot.

It's no doubt that Becca Cosmetics reigns Queen when it comes to highlighters. Now, the brand is releasing a new shade of its wildly popular pressed highlighting powder, called Prismatic Amethyst, and promises that it will flatter every skin tone. See for yourself.

As the picture shows, the color is less of an overt purple and more of a wearable, soft lilac that can be used on the cheeks, over eyeshadow for a three-dimensional pop, or even added to the center of the lips for a pouty effect. This 13-Year-Old Girl Composed an Incredible Song Using Hillary Clinton's Concession Speech

Following her defeat in the 2016 presidential election, Hillary Clinton delievered a concession speech addressed "all the little girls watching" to remind them to "never doubt that [they] are valuable and powerful and deserving of every chance and opportunity in the world."

As part of an music theory class assignment at Sol La Music Academy in Santa Monica, the instructor, Mary Ann Cummins, gave the students an excerpt from Clinton's speech and asked them to turn it into a song, The Huffington Post reports. The result was astounding.

13-year-old Isolde Fair composed a song with piano and strings based on Clinton's speech, then recorded the results. According to the Huffington Post, the video features girls ages 8 to 19 playing instruments and singing the song, with Fair taking the lead. Fair wrote in the YouTube description, "The message is that all girls (and women) should never doubt that they are valuable and powerful and can have their dreams come true."

Even Clinton herself saw the video and took to Twitter to praise the "inspiring song."

The Internet is Freaking Out Over How Pretty the Latest Starbucks Secret Menu Drink Is

Spring may still be weeks away, but Starbucks's latest secret menu item already has us needing warm, sunny weather right this second. In case you remember the Instagram and Snapchat takeover of last year's "Pink Drink," the secret menu item just got an even more photogenic update.

Enter the "Matcha Pink Drink," which is the classic pink concoction with an added ingredient: matcha. The result is a two-toned ombre drink that fades from pink at the top to green at the bottom. Instagram account @dailyfoodfeed posted the first picture of this game-changer, and along with the rest of the Internet, we're kind of freaking out over how pretty it is.

According to the photo's caption, if you want to try the Matcha Pink Drink, you'll want to ask for three parts traditional Pink Drink (which is a strawberry acai refresher with coconut milk), one part matcha coconut milk on ice. Apologies in advance to baristas everywhere, but this is just one we're going to have to try for the 'gram.
