Next time you go to change the time limit on your Snap, look out for what some are calling Snapchat's biggest change yet. The company, which became so well known for being a platform where users could send disappearing photos that could only be seen for a max of 10 seconds, now has "limitless snaps,"BuzzFeed News reports. This means you can change that timer setting to let whoever opens your photo look at it for an infinite amount of time until they click out.
In a statement about the new feature, Snap says it will stop the "frustration of not being able to fully enjoy a snap." It's true, sometimes 10 seconds just isn't enough!
Their second new feature? The ability to draw with emojis. This one works just like their original doodling feature, but now instead of selecting a color, you can draw words and images using your favorite emojis.
Here's an example of what those two features look like:
The third new feature Snap added is the "Magic Eraser" which basically lets you take a pic then "erase" part of it. One Buzzfeed writer tried it out here:
And lastly, the new Loop feature. This one lets you record a short video and loop it, pretty much making it a gif, so that the receiver can watch it a few times to really get it.
Is Snapchat really enhancing user's experiences with these new features, or is it just becoming too obvious that they're trying to stay competitive with Instagram and Facebook after losing over $2 billion last quarter?
