Following the end of the tragically short-lived #Hiddleswift, Calvin Harris is ready to get real about his relationship and breakup with Taylor Swift.
In an interview with British GQ, the DJ talked about the unexpected stresses of having his relationships be so public.
"It's very difficult when something I consider so personal plays out very publicly," he revealed. "The aftermath of the relationship was way more heavily publicized than the relationship itself. When we were together, we were very careful for it not to be a media circus. She respected my feelings in that sense. I'm not good at being a celebrity."
Calvin also explained the headspace he was in when he sent those heat-of-the-moment tweets after the news of Taylor's relationship with Tom Hiddleston broke.
"But when it ended, all hell broke loose," he explained. "Now I see that Twitter thing as a result of me succumbing to pressure. It took me a minute to realize that none of that matters. I'm a positive guy."
"For both of us it was the wrong situation. It clearly wasn't right, so it ended, but all of the stuff that happened afterwards…"
Guess we'll spend the rest of our lives (or at least until Calvin decides to speak publicly about T. Swift again) wondering what comes after that ellipsis.
