Joe Biden & Lady Gaga Announced That They're Teaming Up To Build Trauma Centers For Abuse Victims

In the wake of the “Me Too” hashtag, people around the country are uniting to listen and believe victims and take a stand against sexual assault. Now, former Vice President Joe Biden and pop sensation Lady Gaga are taking it one step further by opening up trauma centers for people who have been victims of physical and emotional abuse, Rolling Stone reports.

As if we didn’t love Lady Gaga enough just from her work with The Born This Way Foundation and VP Biden for being the coolest VP to be in office (who has also worked at length to address issues of violence against women), the two have proven to be quite the team when working together. They’ve together been huge supporters and promoters of President Obama’s campaign “It’s On Us” which promotes being educated about sexual assault on college campuses and providing ways to prevent it.

“Women who are abused end up having long-term physical and physiological problems," Biden said in his speech. We finally are recognizing the long-term impacts…It’s the next great frontier I want to be a part of.”

Biden and Lady Gaga first announced that they would be collaborating in October. The plan for these trauma centers, which is still in the very early planning stages, was announced at Glamour’s Women of the Year Summit where Biden spoke.

Biden also addressed the cultural conversations and shifts over the last few months, particularly following the allegations against men like Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey: "This is time to fundamentally change the culture of how women are treated in American society ... The culture is changing because so many brave women — knowing they were going to be vilified — are coming forward. Look at all these men have rightfully lost, now. Million dollar contracts! That wouldn't have happened a year ago, five years ago, 10 years ago, so keep pushing."

Bella Hadid & The Weeknd Are Hanging Out Because Chilling With Your Ex Is Apparently the Trend Right Now

The trend of hanging out with your ex seems to have expanded beyond Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez. The Weeknd was spotted leaving ex Bella Hadid's apartment Monday night, ELLE reports, and now I'm wondering what they're up to.

Sel and The Weeknd broke up just last month, but even before their split, Selena was hanging out with Justin, raising questions as to whether or not they're back together. Now, The Weeknd is causing the same confusion after being photographed leaving Bella's apartment in New York City. The photo agency said he spent "several hours there." Hmmm, what's going on?

Could the couple be rekindling their romance, or are they just friends? It seems like leaving your ex's apartment late at night is more than just a friendly thing, but that's just me.

"Bella and Abel have been in contact since Abel and Selena split, but they are not back together," a source told E! News."Abel reached out to Bella asking to hang out and catch up, and she decided to see him and see where things go. She knows that if they don't date again, they can at least be good friends." So maybe it is just friendly.

Another source said they're still in love, though. Because how could you not be after a serious relationship like theirs? "She still loves him but has her guard up. She never really got over him," the source said. "She is not looking to be exclusive with him now, just to be his friend. His schedule won't allow him to stay focused on her—she knows this from past experience. She also knows he is talking to a few girls still. She reads what is put out in the news and that affects her." Good for her—don't settle for anything less than what you deserve, Bel.

As for The Weeknd, he reportedly loves her, too. "He has expressed to her that he loves her still, and they will always have a real connection. He also apologized for hurting her in the past," the source said.

So maybe their relationship is on the path to recovery and soon enough they'll be back together. We might have to wait a little while to see what happens, but I can be patient.

A Woman Has Accused Senator Al Franken Of Groping Her Without Her Consent

Ever since Hollywood absolutely exploded with sexual assault and rape allegations against Harvey Weinstein, more and more women are finding the courage to speak up and share their own stories. Leeann Tweeden, a model and sports commenter, decided it was time to break her silence on her encounter with then-comedian, now Senator Al Franken—and the details aren't funny in the slightest.

Tweeden took to the internet to share her story, detailing her sexual assault by Franken in a blog post for Los Angeles radio station KABC, The Washington Post reports.

Tweeden, who has been an active participant in the United Service Organization's entertainment tours for the troops, explains that the sexual assault took place back in 2006 during her ninth tour. Al Franken, a comedian who was elected just two years later as a junior United States Senator for Minnesota, was on that same trip.

"Franken had written some skits for the show and brought props and costumes to go along with them," Tweeden writes in her post. "Like many USO shows before and since, the skits were full of sexual innuendo geared toward a young, male audience."

"As a TV host and sports broadcaster, as well as a model familiar to the audience from the covers of FHM, Maxim and Playboy, I was only expecting to emcee and introduce the acts, but Franken said he had written a part for me that he thought would be funny, and I agreed to play along." Tweeden continues.

Her post then takes a turn, going into detail of what exactly this "part" entailed.

"When I saw the script, Franken had written a moment when his character comes at me for a ‘kiss,’" Tweeden writes. "I suspected what he was after, but I figured I could turn my head at the last minute, or put my hand over his mouth, to get more laughs from the crowd."

But what occurred backstage will make your stomach churn:

"On the day of the show Franken and I were alone backstage going over our lines one last time. He said to me, “We need to rehearse the kiss.” I laughed and ignored him. Then he said it again. I said something like, ‘Relax Al, this isn’t SNL…we don’t need to rehearse the kiss.' He continued to insist, and I was beginning to get uncomfortable." (Cringe-worthy is an understatement)

"He repeated that actors really need to rehearse everything and that we must practice the kiss. I said ‘OK’ so he would stop badgering me. We did the line leading up to the kiss and then he came at me, put his hand on the back of my head, mashed his lips against mine and aggressively stuck his tongue in my mouth...I immediately pushed him away with both of my hands against his chest and told him if he ever did that to me again I wouldn’t be so nice about it the next time. I walked away. All I could think about was getting to a bathroom as fast as possible to rinse the taste of him out of my mouth. I felt disgusted and violated," Tweeden wrote.

Unfortunately, Franken didn't stop there. (And just when you think this story couldn't get any worse!)

"The tour wrapped and on Christmas Eve we began the 36-hour trip home to L.A. After 2 weeks of grueling travel and performing I was exhausted," Tweeden writes. "When our C-17 cargo plane took off from Afghanistan I immediately fell asleep, even though I was still wearing my flak vest and Kevlar helmet. It wasn’t until I was back in the US and looking through the CD of photos we were given by the photographer that I saw this one."

Understandably, Tweeden experienced a whirlwind of emotions. "I couldn’t believe it. He groped me, without my consent, while I was asleep," she writes. "I felt violated all over again. Embarrassed. Belittled. Humiliated. How dare anyone grab my breasts like this and think it’s funny?"

With plenty of sexual assault and rape allegations coming to light now, some people question why those who have had experiences like these choose to stay silent for so long. Fortunately, Tweeden used her platform to offer an explanation, because like so many women who are now speaking up or are still silent, she's angry, but can't always speak up.

"I wanted to shout my story to the world with a megaphone to anyone who would listen, but even as angry as I was, I was worried about the potential backlash and damage going public might have on my career as a broadcaster. But that was then, this is now. I’m no longer afraid," Tweeden writes.

However, near the end of her post, Tweeden states her ultimate intention of telling her story, and it's not on her own behalf.

"While debating whether or not to go public, I even thought to myself, so much worse has happened to so many others, maybe my story isn’t worth telling? But my story is worth telling. Not just because 2017 is not 2006, or because I am much more secure in my career now than I was then, and not because I’m still angry. I’m telling my story because there may be others."

Tweeden shared her blog post on Twitter, writing, "I’ve decided it’s time to tell my story. #MeToo."

ABC News took to Twitter to post a "lengthier apology" from Senator Al Franken.

Sexual assault, no matter to what degree or in what context, is never okay. I commend Tweeden for her incredible courage, and if we can all agree on one thing, it's the idea that Tweeden ends her blog post with: "I want the days of silence to be over forever."

The School Custodian Saved Students Lives During The Tehama County Shooting

More and more details are being collected and reported on the California shooting spree that took place across the Rancho Tehama Reserve on Tuesday morning. With five people dead and two elementary school students injured in the domestic violence incident and school rampage, the shooting could have been even more deadly—fortunately, a brave custodian at Rancho Tehama Elementary School stepped in at the right moment.

Richard Fitzpatrick, the superintendent of the Corning Union Elementary School District, recognized all of his staff involved during the shooting, but the school's head custodian received special praise for his actions, USA Todayreports. The custodian, who does not wish to have his name released to the media, is being recognized for diverting the attention of the shooter, 44-year-old Kevin Neal, just long enough so that the teachers could ensure the safety of their students while completing a lockdown.

"The reason that I'm standing here today and I'm able to speak to you without breaking down and crying is because of the heroic efforts of our school staff," Fitzpatrick said during a press conference on Wednesday, according to USA Today.

Fitzpatrick details what occurred at the school that morning, where a school secretary and other staff members heard gunshots.

"At that time, immediately and without any instruction from law enforcement, our school staff went into lockdown," Fitzpatrick said.

The custodian helped bring children and parents who were outside and on the playground into a classroom to safety. When he saw the gunman, who jumped out of a pickup truck he crashed through a fence, the custodian diverted the shooter's attention just long enough so that the teachers could complete the lockdown.

The gunman had charged onto campus with a rifle and, from what Fitzpatrick reports, it's understood that the custodian made "eye-to-eye" contact with the shooter, who began firing shots. Fortunately, Neal then experienced issues with his rifle, leaving the custodian unharmed. According to Fitzpatrick, about 10 seconds took place from when the shooter arrived on campus to the completion of the lockdown, so those 10 seconds when the custodian stepped in were absolutely crucial.

Neal attempted to enter the building and fired several more shots before driving off. He was shot and killed by police not long after on Rancho Tehama Road.

The heroic actions of the school's custodian will forever be remembered and, in times of such fear and uncertainty, it's important to recognize the heroes and the helpers.

Drake Stopped His Concert to Call Out a Guy Who Was Harassing Women, So He's Officially My Hero

It sounds like Drake needs a cape and superhero suit ASAP—the rapper stopped his show in Australia Monday night to call out a fan who was harassing women in the crowd.

In a video clip posted on Instagram, Drake halts his performance to call a man out in the crowd. "If you won't stop touching girls, I'm going to come out there and fuck you up," he said while pointing at the man in the crowd. "If you don't stop putting your hands on girls, I'm going to come out there and fuck your ass up." Yes, Drake—you tell 'em!

Mans said he was gonna fuck him up

A post shared by Drake Fanpage (@aubsessed_86) on

Drake's willingness to pause his entire show to call out harassment shows there's some hope left for humanity, considering the slew of sexual harassment allegations coming from every direction in this industry. I'm glad Drake won't turn a blind eye when he sees women being harassed.

I'm not the only one obsessing over Drake's course of action. Twitter blew up, naturally, to praise the singer for taking a stand.

Like everyone on Twitter, I'm thankful for Drake, now and forever. We need more men like him to speak up against harassment. I applaud him for being a true hero.

Fans Are Not Happy About the Title of the 'Fantastic Beasts' Sequel, & It's All Johnny Depp's Fault

The title of the second Fantastic Beasts movie has been revealed, and many people are not having it. Fans are dissatisfied with the name of the filmFantastic BeastsThe Crimes of Grindelwald—since the prequel's villain, the aforementioned Grindelwald, is played by none other than Johnny Depp. Earlier this year, Depp was in the hot seat for reportedly abusing his wife Amber Heard. While the couple settled their divorce over the summer, with Heard dropping all charges, the rest of the world is proving to be less forgiving.

Because the Fantastic Beasts franchise is connected to J.K. Rowling's beloved Harry Potter series, wizardly fans have a lot to say about how the legacy should continue. Naturally, people are skeptical about Depp's personal life and reportedly abusive behavior, and many reactions show that the skepticism is following the actor into his role as Gellert Grindelwald. While some fans are excited to see the return of their favorite characters, others aren't so thrilled.

As controversial as the prequel's title (or casting) may be, the buzz is not entirely negative.

The Crimes of Grindelwald is scheduled to hit theaters on Nov. 16, 2018. And it's not likely that a casting change will be made within the next year. One thing's for sure: If J.K. Rowling has anything to do with the film, it's going to be a magical production.

Stacy London Blocked Clinton Kelly on Twitter, &'What Not to Wear' Fans Are Shook

Stacy London and Clinton Kelly will forever be known as the dynamic duo who saved people from their own unflattering wardrobes, but could it be that the fashion sidekicks are separating for good? On Wednesday, Clinton put his former What Not to Wear cohost on blast for blocking him on Twitter, and fans are dying to be in on the drama.

Clinton offered nothing but a sarcastic "Alllll righty then" in his original tweet, but the host of ABC's The Chew thankfully continued the discussion in the comments. Fans begged Clinton to spill the tea, but he claimed there's no drama to share and he's totally unfazed. He wrote in one response, "I don’t need attention. Thought it was hilarious. Bye basic random chick." He kept the shade going with another tweet: "The tea is old. And I never spill tea unless I'm shook, which I'm not."

As Us Weekly reports, Stacy and Clinton weren't always as compatible as TLC made them seem. In Clinton's memoir, I Hate Everyone, Except You, he confessed the truth about his relationship with his cohost. “I either adored her or despised her and never anything in between,” he wrote. “We spent nearly sixty hours a week in captivity, rarely more than an arm’s length away from each other. Trust me when I tell you that that is just too much time to spend with any other human being you didn’t choose of your own free will.”

We can only hope Ms. London has an explanation for this online madness because I'm still holding out for my WNTW moment.

'Jane the Virgin' Tackled Bisexuality, & We Need to Talk About It

$

Historically, Jane the Virgin has been a pretty ~woke~ show. The writers clearly aren't afraid to tackle bold storylines. I mean, the whole series begins with the lead character getting accidentally artificially inseminated as a virgin. Unconventional much? Through the years, JtV has explored many cultural issues including diversity, social status, immigration and abortion. In doing so, the show has inspired social discussion and worked to destroy Latino stereotypes, among others. This season, the writers are guiding the discussion in a different direction by addressing another topic: bisexuality.

Jane's new love interest, Adam, is bisexual. In last Friday's episode, Jane learned that her new beau had a couple previous relationships with men. As much as I hoped Jane would be totally cool with the news, she pretty much spent the entire episode freaking out. Her reaction proved that even Jane—super mom, writer, daughter and best friend—is not flawless. Her panic served a useful purpose, though, as it gave Adam the opportunity to dismiss some infamous stereotypes about bisexuality.

Naturally, Jane had some questions about Adam's news. For starters, why didn't he just tell her? Viewers learned that Adam was afraid to tell Jane, and rightfully so. He was worried that the truth would mess things up between them, and who could blame him? Coming out is hard, both on screen and IRL, so the confession wasn't any easier for even the most confident of guys. The rest of their conversation was refreshing, to say the least, and since I can't say it any better than Adam did, here's how the convo went:

Jane: "It wasn't that you waited a long time to tell me. It was what you told me… I guess I just have questions, which are silly and stupid."

Adam:"Ask me."

Jane:"Is being bisexual a stop? On your way to coming out as gay?"

Adam:"Definitely not. It just means that I'm open to a connection with a man or a woman. What else you got?"

Jane:"Well, I guess I feel a little insecure, you know. It's not like I can give you what a man can."

Adam:"Well, yeah, you're right, you can't. But you can't give me what another woman can give me either. But it doesn't matter because I choose to be with you. I don't want to be with anyone else, regardless of gender."

Jane brought up some common misconceptions about bisexuality, and I, for one, am really happy she did. Unfortunately, our culture has a difficult time understanding bisexuality and what it means. Many people assume that a person who identifies as bi is just "confused" or "promiscuous" or "going through a phase." The truth is, bisexuality is as valid as any other sexual identity, even though its definition may not be black and white. Identity means something different to every person, and Adam said it best: Just because he's attracted to both genders doesn't mean Jane should have double the worry. They're in a monogamous relationship and only have eyes for each other. *Insert a million heart-eye emojis here.*

I applaud JtV for introducing Adam, allowing Jane and the fans to fall in love with him, and then dropping this sexuality bombshell. Seriously, does this revelation make anyone, fictional or not, love Adam any less? Is he any less of a boyfriend, father figure to Mateo or overall awesome person because of who he is attracted to? And does this piece of him have any effect on the magical romance that is developing between him and Jane? If you couldn't guess, my answer to all of these questions is a hard no. Adam is Adam: kind, hilarious, free-spirited and hot AF, no matter what. In fact, I think I love his character even more now.

As winter gets closer and for some, is already here, our cold weather wardrobe is taking over our closets again. One winter piece that will last you all season and is super trendy is the faux fur coat. For some, this coat is daunting because it can look so extravagant and over-the-top. It doesn't have to be though! Here are some tips for wearing faux fur any day.

1. Play with textures

Try out different faux fur textures! Some are thicker than others, some have more of a shaggy look and some have a soft, low-key look. Picking one that is more soft-looking can create a more casual look. The "Ultra Comfy Faux Fur Coat" from Chic Wish is the definition of cute and cozy!

2. Try different shapes and silhouettes

The shape and silhouette of a faux fur coat can change everything! A silhouette that casually falls around your body and doesn’t look too rigid is a great everyday jacket. This one from Missguided is seriously cute with the long body silhouette.

A cropped fur coat is a really cute shape for everybody especially with a pair of high-waisted jeans. Throw on your backpack and you’re ready for class. Dolls Kill "Prima Donna Furry Jacket" is a prime cropped faux fur coat!

3. Pick the right color

Faux fur coats are coming in every color this year, but the best colors are the ones that are more on the muted side. Colors like black, brown, maroon, dark blue and natural fur colors are perfect for owning the fur look without making a super loud statement. Check out this maroon one from Forever 21.

4. Pair with basics

These coats look amazing with basic pieces. They pair perfectly with black jeans, mom jeans, leggings, and if you want to be a little edgy, leather pants. Tone it down even more with a pair of sneakers giving the look a street style vibe or dress it up a little with some booties. Throw on a simple graphic tee or solid color tee underneath the coat and your look is complete!

5. Wear with neutrals

Another great way to make faux fur look casual is to wear it with muted colors. White, black, beige, grey and many other solid, neutral colors look amazing with faux fur. Use the neutral colors in the outfit to compliment the color of the jacket. This look is so cute and can be worn to class, work, an internship and definitely brunch. Try matching the color of the fur to the color of your shoes for a head-to-toe, put-together look.

6. Fur hints

A really fun way to work fur into an outfit is with small accents! Things like hats, shoes and even ear muffs add a cute fur touch to finish off an outfit. Check out some of the items we've rounded up with hints of fur.

These earmuffs from H&M come in pink and black too!

Also from H&M, this hat is what our childhood dreams are made of.

Shoes are so much fun to add fur to and these ones from Target come in all black and all maroon too.

7. Accessorize with fur

Don’t want fur to dominate your look but want to still get the look? Utilize accessories! From bags to scarves to wraps, fur can be added anywhere.

Bags are the perfect place to add fur. Everyone will see it but it isn't the center of the outfit. Charlotte Russe debuted these cute ones in a cream color and one in multi-colors!

Forever 21 has this fur scarf available in brown, black, maroon, and dark green! It's perfect with any outfit.

Follow these guidelines for casually wearing your faux fur and your friends will be asking you for fashion advice all season!

The Keystone Pipeline Spilled More Than 200,000 Gallons of Oil Days Before an Important Vote on Its Extension

The Keystone Pipeline in Marshall County, South Dakota leaked 210,000 gallons of oil on Thursday, CNN reports. Now the site of the largest Keystone oil spill in South Dakota, the pipeline was shut down on Thursday morning in order for authorities to investigate why the leak occurred. Authorities later said that the leaking section was experiencing a drop in pressure. The spilled amount is equivalent to about 5,000 barrels of oil.

"It is a below-ground pipeline but some oil has surfaced above ground to the grass," said Brian Walsh, a spokesman for South Dakota's Department of Environment and Natural Resources. "It will be a few days until they can excavate and get in borings to see if there is groundwater combination."

This affected stretch of the pipeline includes land in Alberta, Oklahoma and Illinois. While pipeline operator TransCanada has promised that it values the well-being of both the environment and the surrounding public, Greenpeace has interpreted the spill as a sign that the planned Keystone XL Pipeline, which is meant to reach into Nebraska, shouldn't be further approved. According to NBC News, the leak happened only four days before Nebraska officials planned to vote on officially approving the pipeline's extension into the state.

President Donald Trump and his administration first approved the Keystone XL Pipeline in March. Criticism of the construction plans focuses on the the pipeline pumping more greenhouse gases and cutting through a large underground deposit of fresh water. The affected land also traces back to Native American heritage.

This is the third pipeline spill in South Dakota this year.

Three Ohio Pastors Have Been Indicted on Child Sex Trafficking Charges After Exploiting Teenage Girls for Years

Three Ohio pastors were recently indicted on a charge of conspiracy for child sex trafficking after being accused of exploiting and abusing teenage girls, The New York Times reports. Pleading not guilty to the 11-count indictment on Tuesday, 37-year-old Kenneth Butler, 38-year-old Anthony Haynes and 47-year-old Cordell Jenkins were accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl from 2014 to 2017.

The pastors' abuse of the girl reportedly started when she was only 14 years, mostly occurring at hotels and Haynes' church at Toledo's Greater Life Christian Center. Haynes paid the girl not to say anything, saying that her doing so would ruin his family and his church. He apparently "facilitated" her abusive encounters with other men. Jenkins sexually harmed the girl in various locations, including his home and office, and recorded their meetings with his phone. He allegedly sexually exploited another teen girl, while Butler was also indicted on charges involving his abuse of a third girl from 2015 to earlier this year.

While Jenkins and Haynes were originally served sex trafficking charges in April, Butler was added to the case when authorities realized the three were connected. Michael Tobin, a spokesman for the United States attorney's office, said of the men, "All three have religious affiliations and knew each other in that capacity. All three claim to be ministers in one form or another."

Assistant U.S. attorney Michael Freeman is quoted in The Toledo Blade as saying that the men "conspired and agreed with each other to knowingly recruit, entice, harbor, transport, provide, obtain, maintain, patronize and solicit" female minors. The men will stay in custody until their January hearing.

Blake Shelton Knows You Don't Think He's the Sexiest Man Alive, but He's Clapping Back in a Clever Way

I haven't come across many people who think that Blake Shelton becoming PEOPLE's Sexiest Man of the Year was a great decision. It is a random choice at best, but Shelton has chosen to address the criticism in a funny way. The country music star filmed a video of himself reading a few hate tweets aloud, definitely checking off the "humor" box on my list of what makes a man sexy.

PEOPLE reports that Shelton recorded the video for his Twitter account while backstage at The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Including an onscreen hashtag that read "Don't Hate Me Because I'm Beautiful," Shelton joked in the clip, "I wanted to look out there on social media and see what's being said out there by my supportive people."

From the idea that PEOPLE's choice has finally united the world in this divisive time to the comparison of Shelton to a dad in those drug commercials, I have to admit that the hate tweets are pretty funny. You also have to give credit to Shelton for playing around with the public's opinion. Although the majority already seems to be ready for next year's Sexiest Man, he still has some true fans out there that are pleased with the news, as well as supporters reminding us that sexiness is not always on the outside.

Good morning Her Campus! With a break-neck news cycle, there is no possible way for you to stay on top of every story that comes across your feeds—we’re all only human, after all.

But, life comes at you fast. So grab a cup of coffee and settle in for this quick and dirty guide to stories you might’ve been sleeping on (like, literally. It’s early.)

A Middle School Cancels a Muslim Speaker After the Town Protests

After a social studies teacher invited a Muslim woman to speak about her religion to students at Northeast Middle School in Bristol, Conn., complaints about the visit appeared on social media and to the Bristol Public Schools superintendent. The backlash led to the cancellation of the event. The speaker, a New York native who started an organization that strives to empower Muslim women, was going to join a series of guests talking about world religions. A presentation about Judaism was also cancelled, while a panel discussion involving speakers of different religions is now being planned.

"It is my hope that the opinions of a few Bristol residents are not seen as the opinion of the Bristol community," said superintendent Susan Kalt Moreau in a statement. "There was an outpouring of support for bringing a speaker in to support our curriculum, which includes religions of the world."

Sen. Al Franken Will Cooperate With Investigation Surrounding Groping Accusation

After a radio news anchor accused Minnesota Democratic Sen. Al Franken of groping and kissing her without her consent during a 2006 overseas USO tour, Franken has apologized and agreed to cooperate with an investigation. Leeann Tweeden shared her experience with Franken on her current radio station's website, writing, "You knew exactly what you were doing. You forcibly kissed me without my consent, grabbed my breasts while I was sleeping and had someone take a photo of you doing it, knowing I would see it later and be ashamed."

Since the news broke, Franken has reportedly skipped all Senate votes and Democratic lunches.

Shake Shack Adds Holiday Drinks to Menu

You won't just want to go to Shake Shack for your burger cravings. In honor of the holiday season, the fast food chain is introducing a trio of festive dessert drinks. Frozen Hot Cocoa, Christmas Cookie and Chocolate Peppermint will be in stores from Nov. 15 through Jan 2. at all regular Shake Shack locations. These custard-based treats seem perfect if you're already a little tired of the Starbucks holiday drinks.

What to look out for...

On the third Thursday of November, the American Cancer Society celebrates the Great American Smokeout event. Use the day to encourage yourself or a friend to plan out how to quit smoking cigarettes. Make an effort to reduce your risk of cancer as soon as possible.

Someone Removed the Makeup from This Doll's Face & It's Absolutely a Cursed Object Now

As if we weren’t still recovering from the latest IT movie, one Twitter user gave us another reason to have nightmares this week. @Tash3P51 posted a story about her father's seemingly harmless attempt to clean off his grandaughter’s doll, accidentally stripping all the makeup off the doll's face and leaving it looking like a serious Leatherface imposter. To make matters worse, he cut eyes out of a magazine and glued them onto the doll in an effort to restore some of her features. The final result? Just nope.

We thought looking at our own bare face in the mirror was enough of a jump scare, but apparently we were very wrong. While we still don’t know how the Twitter user’s daughter reacted to her doll’s makeup removal fiasco, people on the internet are fascinated by this doll’s creepy make-under––and we’re living for some of these responses.

One user pointed out the similarities between the doll and Hannibal Lecter. Maybe she’s a long-lost neice?

Some people even attempted to give the doll a Photoshop-induced makeover. Oddly, she looks a little less shocking with (albeit) haphazard eyebrows drawn-on. After all, who hasn’t rushed their eyebrows (and regretted it) a bit?

Or this person who responded with a GIF of the iconic first zombie kill in Shaun of the Dead. Though the doll might not be getting any Morphe sponsorships, she clearly isn’t a monster.

Ah, just another normal day of beauty stories on Twitter.

8 Ways College Changes You

College changes you…really. I know that sounds like some b.s. quote your parents tell you, or that the parents on Boy Meets World or Full House would say. It sounds dramatic and college is by no means some magical transformative experience, but I find that I’m not the same person I was four years ago. I can firmly say I am a different person than I was when I first started college. In fact, through every section of schooling from middle school to high school to college, I’ve found myself becoming closer to the person I want to be or maybe the person I’ve always been. Deep.

Overall, I can say that there are a lot of ways college changes you. These will not apply to everyone and they’ll often apply at different levels. I can only really take from my experience. Anyway, here are some ways you change when you go to college––based on some ways I did.

1. You take charge.

To be fair, I don’t always take charge in every situation. If I’m at a restaurant and I need extra napkins, I’ll probably try to get someone else to get them. But, if I’m at a meeting or in a group project, I am usually the first one to step up and take charge. Being in college has definitely made me more inclined to take charge, especially because I often have the mindset of If I don’t, no one else will.

2. You embrace independence.

While I still prefer being with friends and others over being alone, I enjoy being independent. It’s nice to be able to walk around, schedule meetings and even cook dinner on my own. College allows you to have so much independence, especially because no one’s monitoring your curfew or constantly asking where you are.

3. You get better at sorting out people who are important to you.

The busier you get, the less time you have and the more you have to really work to make time for others. When doing this, I find it’s easier to figure out who’s most important to you. When you have that one hour break between classes, who do you try to see? When you’ve finally got a night off and want to hang out with friends, who’s invited? The busier you are, the easier it is to be picky about the people you spend your time with.

4. You realize most people don’t actually know what they’re doing.

Being an adult is an illusion! It’s comforting and terrifying all at once. As I’ve gotten older, I realize more and more that people who I often thought were very professional and knowledgeable might not be as much of either of those things as I thought. Everyone’s just figuring things out regardless of age. There won’t ever be a time when life is totally figured out and you totally know what you’re doing.
