11 Gift Ideas For Anyone Who Helped in the College Process

$

The time leading up to college is nothing if not suffocating, and sometimes, it is easy to feel completely isolated. After all, much of the decision-making is completely up to you––what schools you look at, whether or not you put in the work to apply to those schools, and where you ultimately end up choosing to go.

This makes it easy to forget about all of the people that helped you along your senior year and even earlier in your life. Advisers, teachers, employers and tutors are just a few of the people that likely had a huge impact on your life leading up to and during your college process. Her Campus is here to help you show them a little appreciation with 11 gifts for anyone who helped you in your college process!

1. Baggu Bag

These cute totes ($5.50-$36) are super durable and come in various colors, patterns, sizes and fabrics. They’re also trendy and good for the environment, and can be put to tons of different uses, like book and grocery carrying.

2. Cute and geeky mugs

Why not make a statement with your drink container? These trendy mugs ($12-$16) are perfect for any tutor or English teacher (or anyone who loves coffee or tea). You could even use mugs for small plants or as pen and pencil holders––the possibilities are endless!

3. Rifle Paper Co. stationery

Stationery is adorable to begin with. So, personalized stationery just adds a sweet touch. This is a great gift for college guidance counselors who are writing notes all the time. Rifle Paper Co. has tons of different pre-made designs for stationery ($15-$22) and other office items, as well as the option to add monograms and names!

4. Writer’s journal

Full of prompts and ideas for new and veteran writers, 642 Things to Write About ($16.95) is bound to appeal to teachers, tutors and advisers alike! There’s also 642 Tiny Things to Write About or 642 Tiny Things to Draw, both for $9.95! Any of these will provide teachers and tutors with a fun, creative break from the droves of papers (and college essays) they are constantly correcting!

5. Counselor lunch bag

This little canvas lunch pail ($16.99) is practical and darling. Better yet, it is machine washable and can replace plastic bags or other waste someone might use for his or her lunch—good for the environment! This is the perfect gift for anyone you know who is trying to be more eco-friendly.

6. Zen garden

Somehow, playing in this little Zen garden ($21.99) while on the brink of a college-related mental breakdown in your guidance counselor’s office always manages to calm you down. This gift is beneficial for you, the gift receiver and future students!

7. Mason jar organizers

These desk organizers ($29) are well suited for the alternative, hippy teacher we have all had at some point. They work for pencils, pens, flowers and other office supplies. This would even be a fun craft to do on your own!

8. Wine-scented candles

While alcohol is generally looked down upon in work settings (and where there are individuals under the drinking age), these wine-scented candles ($28-29) might not be! Candles don’t necessarily need to be lit to emit their fragrances, so the potential fire hazard can be avoided altogether!

9. Math formulas tie

While it is a little on the pricey side, this awesome tie ($49) will give your favorite math teacher a story to tell each time he or she wears it. Additionally, as stated in the description, “putting on this tie might just make you smarter!” Alternatively, try this math mug, which is much cheaper at $15.95.

10. Bulletin board organizer

This awesome bulletin board is expensive at $75, so it might either have to be for a super special adviser or teacher, or perhaps something you split up with a few friends and gift as a group! This bulletin board is not only practical, but also customizable and just generally cool looking.

11. Flowers or baked goods

If these don’t float your boat, flowers, plants and baked goods are reliably great gifts for anyone. Orchids or succulents work perfectly—they’re very low maintenance and, if taken care of, can last a really long time! These are easy to find at your local grocery store, and if you’d like to go for the fancier flowers and plant arrangements, hit up your nearest florist. Baked goods are easy, fun to make and a great alternative to some of these pricier options. Try to figure out your teacher’s favorite dessert for that extra bit of thoughtfulness!

Don’t forget to add a personal note to each of these gifts to add an extra touch of gratitude. Just like the adults in your life likely say all the time, everyone loves a handwritten note!

As long as your gift is heartfelt, the size or price of the gift itself likely matters little (but keep in mind it might be a little awkward to get a teacher a particularly expensive or extravagant gift). Graduate knowing that you’ve expressed your appreciation for all those who helped you along the way and take comfort knowing they’ll be there for you if ever you need them again in the future.

A Court Has Finally Ruled That LGBTQ+ Employees Are Protected Under the Civil Rights Act

On Tuesday, a Chicago federal court ruled that LGBT employees are protected from discrimination in the workplace like any other employee under the 1964 Civil Rights Act. This is the very first time that a federal appellate court has made that ruling, according to the Associated Press. All of the others have ruled the opposite, saying that employers can discriminate against employees solely based on sexual orientation.

Yay, progress!

The ruling was the result of a lawsuit by a high school teacher, Kimberly Hively, who claimed that she wasn't hired for full-time work at the Ivy Tech Community College all because of her sexual orientation, Wavy reports. Judge Richard Posner, who heard the case, said that just because a statute is longstanding doesn’t mean the courts can’t widen its range, according to the AP.

The case could still go to the Supreme Court. But since the House and Senate are majority Republican, it's unlikely that it will have the same results as in the smaller courts.

"It's really good to know that it's making some headway," Hively told the Chicago Tribune. "I always thought there was a big disconnect when they legalized gay marriage but didn't extend any protections against workplace or housing discrimination. What they're doing is allowing people to lose jobs and homes just because they fell in love."

Luckily, this case is a step forward for LGBT rights. With all of the passionate changemakers working to end discrimation against the LGBT community, it's no doubt that the LGBT community is making strides. Let's hope this progress continues.

Ivanka Trump Responds to Critics Who Think She Hasn't Spoken Out Enough Against Trump

Ivanka Trump recently stirred controversy when she got her own office in the West Wing and later joined the Trump administration as an official government employee. The administration claimed she would serve as an advisor to President Trump and give him advice on certain issues, such as women’s rights.

Now, people are hoping that Ivanka will influence her father and his policies, The Washington Postreports.

In an interview on Wednesday with Gayle King on CBS News, Ivanka responded to critics who think she hasn't spoken out enough on her criticism of Trump’s policies. Ivanka said that she does not like to publicly denigrate Trump and his policies.

“I would say not to conflate lack of public denouncement with silence," Ivanka Trump told CBS This Morning. "I think there are multiple ways to have your voice heard." She added, "In some cases, it’s through protest and it’s through going on the nightly news and talking about or denouncing every issue on which you disagree with. Other times it is quietly and directly and candidly. So where I disagree with my father, he knows it. And I express myself with total candor. Where I agree, I fully lean in and support the agenda and—and hope—that I can be an asset to him and—and make a positive impact.”

Ivanka also argued that going public with her disagreements isn’t always the best way to go. “We’re in a very unique time where noise equals, in a lot of people’s perception, advocacy," Ivanka said. "And I fundamentally disagree with that. I do think there’s a time for public denouncement…I also think there’s a time for discussion.”

While Ivanka did show us during her father’s campaign that she didn’t exactly see eye-to-eye with Trump on certain issues, it is understandable that Ivanka doesn’t want to publicly speak out about what she thinks about Trump’s policies. After all, like Ivanka said in her interview, this is her father’s administration, and it’s not necessarily about her “promoting her viewpoints.”

Perhaps, as the Post reports, if we should ever see Trump go more moderate on certain issues that Ivanka is passionate about, it might show that Ivanka had a say in the matter and influenced Trump. But we’ll see.

Luke Pell Apparently Tried to Script His Season of 'The Bachelor' Before It Ever Began

If you happen to be a fan of the Bachelor franchise, you’re pretty used to drama. And as juicy as the gossip is on-screen, lately it’s been what’s happening off-screen that’s attracting fans’ attention. As you might know, Luke Pell was a contestant on JoJo's season of The Bachelorette. Many believed Luke would be the next Bachelor…until Nick Viall was announced as the leading man. But apparently Luke wasn’t the only one expecting a run on the show. Over the last few days, two women have stepped forward to tell their stories about Luke's behind-the-scenes dealings, and Reality Steve dished the entire story on his blog.

Airelle Snyder, a Nashville lifestyle blogger, posted a video on March 21 talking about how she almost went on The Bachelor. She starts by explaining that she got a call from the Bachelor producers saying that someone had submitted her for the show. It can be assumed this was Luke, as he had messaged her that very day asking if she had ever considered being on the show.

The two began communicating back and forth, and Airelle was under the impression that Luke would be the next Bachelor and she would be a contestant on the show. She says in her video that she “was convinced it was going to be [them] in the end.” When Nick was announced as the Bachelor, Airelle attempted to contact Luke, but “he didn’t answer, and [she] didn’t hear from him for awhile.”

This seemed like the end of the story, until two days ago when Airelle posted another video, this time with former Season 21 Bachelor contestant Lauren Hussey. According to Lauren, she and Luke began a super secret (his decision, not hers) relationship after she was eliminated from Nick’s season. She described the relationship, which lasted from Sept. 2016 to Feb. 2017, as “kind of a whirlwind” and says she found proof he had been cheating on her and he admitted to it.

After Airelle and Lauren released the video, Luke sent out a tweet throwing shade at the two girls, trying to downplay his relationship with Airelle. He also posted an image on Twitter that says, “Haters gonna hate, trolls gonna troll,” likely in reference to the girls’ video. However, as Reality Steve points out, there’s a good amount of evidence that the girls aren’t lying about their relationships with Luke.

And hold up for another shocker: Luke apparently played Jubilee from Ben's season, too. Back when he still thought he was going to be the Bachelor, he convinced Jubilee to come on the show, telling her she'd be his final pick, and then straight up disappeared when he figured out he didn't get the gig after all.

That's not all, folks. Luke might have told the same thing to yet ANOTHER woman, Holly Allen. As Reality Steve puts it, it sounds like Luke was “trying to script his own season.”

Luke spoke with Us Weeklyabout Lauren and Airelle's claims. “They want to slash my character. I’m respectful. If they want to take it in another direction, that’s their prerogative. I don’t approve of it, but that’s their choice,” he said.

Luke claims he and Lauren had a “break-up conversation,” which sounds different from what Hussey discussed in the video. As for his relationship with Airelle, he claims they only spoke a handful of times and that “there was never a relationship to break up from.”

So what are we supposed to think? On the one hand, we have two women coming forward to say they were mistreated and possible evidence of there being more women in the same boat. On the other hand, we have Luke defending himself against all claims. As of now, it sounds like a battle of “he said, she said.” One thing we know for sure: It’s not always the on-screen drama that’s the best.

Senate Republicans Have 'Gone Nuclear' to Confirm Judge Neil Gorsuch

Senate Republicans voted to change the rules of the U.S. Senate to allow the filibuster of Neil Gorsuch to be broken with a simple majority vote, The New York Times reports.

According to the Times, the so-called “nuclear option” rule will seriously change the way the Senate runs. Democrats had decided to filibuster Gorsuch, meaning they were blocking his confirmation, and under the original rules of the Senate, Republicans would have needed 60 votes to break the filibuster. They were a few votes short. So they decided to change the game so they could still win.

The change means that all presidential nominees for executive branch positions and federal courts now only need a simple majority vote, or 51 votes out of 100, to be confirmed by senators, The Washington Post reports. This will theoretically make it a lot easier for Republicans, who currently hold 52 seats in the Senate, to confirm their favored nominees.

The controversial rule change will also affect future Supreme Court nominations as well, which some see as potentially eroding minority-party input in the Senate.

“I fear that someday we will regret what we are about to do. In fact, I am confident we will,” Republican Senator John McCain said. Okay, McCain—So why did you do it, then?

Gorsuch’s final confirmation vote will occur on Friday, BBC News reported. He will only need the majority of votes in order to be confirmed.

This 'Harry Potter' Fan Theory Will Have You Believing Snape Isn't Actually Dead

Harry Potter is long over, and while we're all trying to pick up the pieces of our broken hearts, there are still plenty of fan theories around to keep us thinking and speculating about the world-famous fantasy series. This latest theory from a fan on Reddit may just take the cake for the most jaw-dropping guess about Snape and his death.

The theory makes the conclusion that Snape might not have died. Now, I know what you're thinking: This couldn't be true...could it?

I’m sure you’re all just as confused as I am, but the mastermind behind the theory is onto something. The fan, DER_GOTTKAISER, comes up with two specific reasons why this could very well be the truth. Maybe J.K. Rowling will be willing to let us know if this theory is on the right track or give us another book and movie? A girl can dream.

The first reason is that when Harry uses the resurrection stone, Snape is nowhere to be seen:

“You’d think Snape was very important to Harry, he loved his mother, gave his life to save him, and shielded him all his life. Harry just found out how Snape had been protecting him the whole time and died to save him, so when he used the magic ring that brings the spirits of dead people, you’d think Snape would be there. He certainly knew Snape longer than Lupin, and you’d think Snape was far more important to him than Lupin, but Snape wasn’t around. Perhaps he was not dead.”

The second reason is that Snape’s corpse is also missing at the end, without a single mention of his death:

“After the big battle, they lay out all the bodies, all the people who died, even the death eaters and Voldemort's. Harry sees Lupin’s and Fred’s body, but Snape’s body isn’t there. You’d think Harry would have told everyone about Snape’s sacrifice so they can find his body too. But nope, Snape’s corpse isn’t found.”

DER_GOTTKAISER continues that it’s possible Snape was just paralyzed by the bite and because he is a potions master, he might have had some form of anti-venom to prepare himself with if he needed it. At least you'd think he would be ready for something like this, right?

The HP fan brings up some pretty fair points here. Is Snape alive? Or are we just clinging to the hope that we’ll have another movie or book to tell us the truth? Maybe J.K. Rowling just loves to watch us squirm and we will never know. What do you think? Is Snape dead or alive?

Ivanka Trump Had a Secret Meeting With Planned Parenthood, But It Hasn't Made a Difference for Women's Rights

President Donald Trump hasn't been a champion for reproductive rights at all so far, but in a move that will surprise critics, Politico reports that his daughter Ivanka held a secret meeting with Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards. Shortly after the election, Ivanka and Richards met to establish common ground despite Trump's promises to defund the women's healthcare organization.

Richards agreed to speak with the first daughter to explain the truth about the program's governmental funding, a source of major controversy over the past few months.

“The main thing that Cecile Richards was doing was explaining that the money doesn’t actually go to abortions—we [Planned Parenthood] get reimbursed the same way a hospital does.  We were clearing up misinformation about how this works,” Dawn Laguens, executive vice president of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, told Politico.

Misconception is at the root of the push against Planned Parenthood. While clinics do perform abortions, the most popular services are STI/STD testing and treatment, according to the program’s latest annual report. In fact, abortion services only account for three percent of the total, with 323,999 procedures completed in 2015. Richards wanted to draw attention to the crucial care Planned Parenthood provides in the area of women’s health, including cancer screenings and prenatal care.

But even after this meeting, Ivanka refused to comment on Vice President Pence’s tie-breaking Senate vote to waive the rule banning states from withholding Planned Parenthood’s family planning grants.

While defending her passivity in an interview with Gayle King, Ivanka Trump stated, “I think there are multiple ways to have your voice heard. In some cases, it’s through protest and it’s through going on the nightly new s and talking about or denouncing every issue on which you agree with. Other times it is quietly and directly and candidly.”

Whether critical or supportive of Ivanka, it's important to consider the belief that silence is acceptance. In a male-dominated government, Ivanka's refusal to take a stance could be perceived as not only hypocritical but also wasteful. As a woman in one of the highest positions of power in the world and a self-proclaimed supporter of women’s rights, the first daughter has a chance to really make a change—and so far, she hasn't used it.

Women may not be able change Trump’s sexist policies, not even through his own daughter.

Adele Gave Harry Styles A Spot-On 21st Birthday Gift

Former One Directioner Harry Styles is the last of his bandmates to release a solo project, so his return to the music world is kind of a big deal. While fans have been waiting patiently for the singer to announce any deets, it turns out there is one person he has been chatting with about going solo: none other than music icon Adele.

In a recent interview with Nick Grimshaw of BBC Radio 1, Styles says, “I’ve spoken to her a little bit, she knows one of the guys that I wrote [my music with] a lot. But I don’t think so much advice, I just like how she does stuff. I think she leads by example, she’s the biggest, she’s amazing, she’s the best so she should be the biggest. The thing with her is she’s a different thing, she’s just good at it, I like how she does everything, it looks very nice.”

Adele has been an inspiration to Styles for some time, as the now 23-year-old remembers the hilarious present she gifted him on his 21st birthday. “She gave me one of her albums 21 and said, ‘I did some pretty cool stuff when I was 21, good luck’ and I was like, ‘geez,'" he says.

Gifting your own album? Bold move! But she's Adele, so she can do anything. Apparently the gesture was well-received, as the singer will release his debut single "Sign of the Times" on April 7.

Styles tells Grimshaw that he started working on the album during February of last year. He paused the project to work on a movie (no complaints there!) and finished writing the album in December. Sure, Styles has been pretty busy (his film Dunkirk is scheduled to debut in July), but he's still pulling out all the stops for his first solo track. Earlier this week, photos leaked of the star dangling from a helicopter in Scotland, filming the video for his highly anticipated single.

Almost a year and a half since One Direction's split, the world (and his pal Adele) is more than pumped for a solo Harry Styles.

Coca-Cola Is Living for Pepsi's Ad Fail, Natch

It looks like there are some people who are actually happy about that controversial Pepsi commercial. When the company's new campaign starring Kendall Jenner received major backlash online, Pepsi retracted the "Live For Now" ad just a day after its release. Disgusted Twitter users defined the ad as "tone-deaf,""shallow" and "over-produced." Meanwhile, the brand's competitor Coca-Cola is reveling in their rival's fail.

Upon the commercial's release on April 4, baffled viewers thought the ridiculous ad was actually a plot twist.

While Twitter users are professing their sudden preference for Coke, the company has been responding to the love with just a bit of pettiness. Understandable.

The Twitter world is expecting a roast, or at least a new Coke commercial to solidfy their triumph over Pepsi. Eager talents are even trying to capitalize on Pepsi's troubles by promoting themselves for future Coca-Cola marketing.

Pepsi has already apologized in a statement. "Pepsi was trying to project a global message of unity, peace and understanding. Clearly we missed the mark, and we apologize. We did not intend to make light of any serious issue. We are removing the content and halting any further rollout. We also apologize for putting Kendall Jenner in this position."

While Kendall Jenner and her momager Kris have both deleted their promotional posts of the now-pulled ad, the model has yet to respond to the controversy, though we do know how she's feeling

Taylor Swift Has Been Hiding Out in Nashville Working On Her New Album

Taylor Swift has left a blank space in the social sphere—both online and IRL. Aside from a pre-Super Bowl performance in February, Tay has been mysteriously absent from the spotlight, and her social media posts have been way less personal than usual. So where has the superstar been?

Swifties, rejoice, because your wildest dreams just might be coming true: According to ET Online, Taylor is working on her sixth album. Although Swift usually releases an album every two years, she didn't release one in 2016, so she’s due for new music.

Tay has been working on the album in Nashville, hence her step away from the public eye. But why Music City? Taylor's most recent (and incredibly successful) album, 1989, was her first official pop album, but sources say she could be considering a return to her country music roots with this next project.

While Swift has not made any official announcements about the project or when to expect its release, Ed Sheeran seems to have the inside info. In a March interview with BBC, he said, “Taylor isn't going to be releasing until probably the end of this year." This would follow the pattern of her previous album releases, since four out of her five albums came out in October.

Fingers crossed we get to hear new music from Taylor sooner rather than later.

Britney Spears Just Delayed a Major Election in Israel

Brittney Spears has accomplished a lot during the last few decades of her career. From killing it on The All-New Mickey Mouse Club to making the Billboard charts numerous times, she’s done it all… or so it seemed. Recently, the reigning Princess of Pop has added another achievement to her résumé: disrupting a country’s major election. Yep, you read that right: it's months before she’s even scheduled to go on tour, and she’s somehow already caused one of Israel’s political parties to reschedule their election.

According to Refinery29, Britney will be singing an outdoor concert in Tel Aviv on July 3. Unfortunately, Israel’s Labor Party had originally scheduled its primary election on the same day, at a venue close to Britney's. If these two events were to be held simultaneously, this would cause major safety issues. As a result, the election has been moved to July 4.

Liron Zach, a spokesman for the Labor Party told CNN, “We couldn’t hire enough security for the election because of the Britney Spears concert on July 3. There would also be a lot of traffic and roadblocks that would make it hard for the vote to go ahead.”

The spokesperson explained to Times of Israel that the decision to postpone the election will “make it easier for people to reach polling stations.” I guess "Sometimes” you just have to reschedule for the greater good.

College can be tough. As you're trying to balance school, work and a social life (all while being fueled on nothing more than dining hall food...), you’re bound to want to find a group of collegiettes who are going through the same struggles as you are. If rushing a sorority doesn’t seem like your thing, you may be at a loss for where to find your new female BFFs. Don’t worry, you’re not alone! We’ve found six all-girl group on campus you can join—that aren't a sorority.

1. Join a major-specific organization

Lots of colleges have organizations tailored specifically to women in certain programs or majors. Are you majoring in science, tech, engineering or math? Look for organizations geared towards women in STEM, which encourage the same scholastic standard and achievement for women as men. Who doesn’t love an organization that fights to prove equal intelligence among genders? Or, if you're in the humanities or social sciences, look for groups catered to your interests, like a foreign language club or an organization for writers. These groups encourage academic excellence while simultaneously allowing collegiettes to make connections and build friendships with those who share their passions. Some common major-specific organizations across college campuses include:

Collegiette Jane Johnson* explains the benefits of getting to know others who share your interests: “Find a club or group that interests you and you'll be sure to find people there who are similar to you! College is about trying new things, so even if the club isn't a great fit, you know you tried it out.”

2. Get involved in your campus’s chapter of Girl Up

There are so many ways to volunteer and make a difference for women! Girl Up—the United Nations Foundation’s campaign for adolescent and teenage girls—has many chapters on college campuses that work to encourage strong, independent and intelligent females to advocate for the education, health, safety and leadership of young women worldwide. If your campus doesn’t have a chapter, don't worry—you can start your own by registering to be a Girl Up Campus Leader.

This organization provides a platform for women on college campuses to further foster a sense of community internationally. Plus, Michelle Obama endorses it, so joining this organization gets you one step closer to the White House… right?

3. Try out for a sports team

Many young women are eager to get involved with intercollegiate athletics, but are afraid to face the pressure of making the team (we can’t all bend it like Beckham!). Joining a sports team is a fantastic way to stay healthy and enjoy the sport you love while still making friends and having fun. Intercollegiate sports, club sports and even intramural teams are all fantastic options for athletic collegiettes at all skill levels. Check out your school’s athletics department for a list of all women’s sports teams and information about how to get involved.

4. Join a professional society for women

You’re not bossy; you’re a boss. Joining a professional society for women is a fantastic way to make connections with experts, to get to know others who are just as driven as you are and to learn the true value of a pencil skirt. Your campus career center is full of resources, but sometimes, you might want to take a step further because you're looking for personal connections rather than a how-to guide on resume writing.

Check out your campus’s chapter of Sisters for Professional and Academic Achievement, the Professional Women’s Association, the American Association of University Women and the National Organization for Women. Some of these organizations are campus-specific, so check your college’s organization website to find these professional societies at your campus—or start your own!

5. Check out events held at the women’s center on campus

Chances are, your college campus has a women’s center. Typically, a women’s center hosts events tailored to women and gender equality each month. Examples include workshops, socials and guest speakers—and they're all are a wonderful way to make connections and get to know the other women at your school. Not only that, the campus women's center provides you with a safe space to share your experiences and thoughts. Check out your school’s website to find the location of your women’s center and a calendar of upcoming events!

6. Join your school's Her Campus chapter!

This is a given, but your college’s Her Campus chapter will provide you with a sense of community and a group of women who share your passions. If there isn’t a Her Campus chapter at your school, you can start your own! You are bound to find a group of smart and social collegiettes just like you.

These are just six of the many ways to find an outlet or safe space for women on your own campus. To find more organizations specific to your college campus, visit your college’s student life website and search “women.”

Some of us probably never thought this day would arrive, but after weeks of teasing, Harry Styles has released his first solo single to the masses. The former One Direction member is officially on his way to a solo career. “Sign of the Times” is an epic homecoming ballad that we’ll be replaying all weekend long.

Creating and then awaiting the release of his single was a labor of love for Harry. While premiering the single on the BBC Radio 1’s breakfast show, Styles said, “I feel like I’ve been hibernating…it’s time to like, give birth.” *Swoon*

We’re kind of feeling a bit spoiled that we get to listen to Harry, Zayn, Louis and Niall go solo after One Direction's split. Liam, now we’re just waiting on you. Although he is a new father, we would love to hear a serenade dedicated to his baby boy. If we’re really being picky, Liam and his partner Cheryl releasing a song would be a dream come true. Can we for real make this happen?

At least time is in our corner. We’ll be here patiently waiting—don’t mind us.

You’re probably familiar with IMG Models, whose client list reads like a who’s who of modeling. I mean, with names like Gigi and Bella Hadid, Candice Swanepoel and Ashley Graham (just to name a few) represented by the agency, who wouldn’t want to join the team?

It seems like Tyler Clinton, Hillary and Bill Clinton's nephew, felt the same way. According to TMZ, the 22-year-old has signed on with IMG Models, and he's got the hot Insta shots to prove it.

This black-and-white photo with vintage vibes pictures Tyler looking right into the camera lens, giving us quite the moody first impression.

Now, I’ve saved my personal fave for last. There’s nothing better than a dreamboat with a perfect smile. Unless said dreamboat is also shirtless and covered in the world’s cutest freckles. And his caption game is on point. A cutie with a sense of humor? Wow!

Here's What You Need to Know About the U.S. Missile Strike on Syria

After the Syrian government conducted a horrific chemical attackon civilians earlier this week, President Trump retaliated by ordering a missile strike on the civil-war tornnation.

Overnight, 59 Tomahawk missiles were launched at the Al Shayrat airfield in Syria from U.S. ships in the Mediterranean Sea, The New York Times reports. The missiles were targeted at destroying Syrian fighter jets and other military equipment, according to the Times. This is the first direct action the United States has taken against the Syrian government in the six-year history of its civil war conflict, The Washington Post reports.

On Thursday evening, President Trump announced at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida the decision to strike Syria, CNN reports. “Tonight, I ordered a targeted military strike on the air base in Syria from where the chemical attack was launched,” he said. The strikes, he suggested, would “prevent and deter the spread and use of deadly chemical weapons” after the “very barbaric” chemical attack, reports the Times.

It didn’t take long for other countries to condemn the move. Russia and Iran, who back the Syrian government under President Bashad al-Assad, quickly condemned Trump’s decision, the Post reports. President Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, “This step by Washington is causing significant damage to Russian-American relations, which are already in a deplorable state,” according to the Post. Since the announcement, Russia has suspended a military cooperation agreement with the United States, the Times reports.

President Trump’s decision is a noticeable pivot from his earlier stance on the conflict in Syria. In 2013, he criticized the Obama administration on Twitter for considering bombing Syria.

Since the missile strike was announced Thursday night, celebrities have chimed in on social media about the attacks. Former Girl Meets World star and activist Rowan Blanchard said the missile attacks made her “violently sick to my stomach” on her Instagram page. Comedian Trevor Noah called the move “sad”in a tweet condemning politicians’ use of government funds for the attack, rather than allocating those resources to education or health care.

Unsurprisingly, many Republicans swiftly voiced their support of the decision to strike—even some of Trump's critics. Although both senators have been strong critics of the president in the past, John McCain and Lindsey Graham applauded his move, Vox reports. “Unlike the previous administration, President Trump confronted a pivotal moment in Syria and took action. For that, he deserves the support of the American people,” McCain and Graham said in a joint statement. Other senators such as Marco Rubio, Carlos Curbelo and Speaker Paul Ryan also voiced their praise. But some Republicans, such as Rand Paul and Justin Amash, weren't fans of the decision, Vox reports.

However, Democratic reactions were more mixed. Democrats like Eliot Engel and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer praised the move to attack. But many Democrats, such as Senator Elizabeth Warren, Seth Moulton and Ted Lieu, were quick to voice their criticism, Vox reports.

The United Nations Security Council will meet Friday to discuss the missile strike and its repercussions, reports USA Today. So far, at least 13 casualties have been reported, according to the Post.
