You may have heard about the best and worst dressed celebs at Monday night’s Met Gala, but what about the best and worst dancers?

The Met Gala is known for being a glamourous event, but that didn't stop Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston from getting down on the dance floor. When T.I.'s "Bring Em Out" came on, Swift and Hiddleston started showing off all the dance moves they could in the crowded dining area. Other gala attendees joined in on the fun and gathered around to watch. One guest, Carlos Souza, caught the pair's dance-off on camera and shared it on Instagram.

Adele Is An Even Bigger Beyoncé Fan Than You Are

It’s been almost two weeks since Beyoncé released her new album Lemonade. Just about everyone raced to social media to express their thoughts on the groundbreaking work—whether it was about the stunning visuals, the incredible music, or more often than not the rumors of Jay Z’s infidelity.

But there was one person who had not yet shared her thoughts on the album: Adele. The Beyhive was dying to know what the songstress had to say and, in a recent Instagram post, she finally expressed her thoughts in the sweetest and most gracious way.

“I'm not late on this I've just been speechless,” Adele captioned a picture of herself with an oversized photo of Beyoncé’s Irreplaceable album, explaining why she had yet to comment on Bey's most recent album.

She went on to pay Queen Bey the highest compliment, referring to her as “the most inspiring person I've ever had the pleasure of worshipping. Her talent, beauty, grace and work ethic are all in a league of their own. I appreciate you so much! Thank god for Beyoncé X”

In a society that loves to pit successful women against each other, it is empowering to see Adele express her wholehearted support for her fellow superstar.

Does this mean we can look forward to an Adele and Beyoncé collaboration?

Bernie Sanders Won the Indiana Primary

Tuesday night’s Indiana primary came with more than a few surprises. In addition to candidates dropping like flies on the Republican side, Bernie Sanders won the state against Hillary Clinton. The underdog candidate therefore stays in the race with a chance, however slight, of overtaking Clinton for the Democratic nomination.

In Indiana, Sanders led Clinton 53 percent to 47 percent, according to Politico. “I know that the Clinton campaign thinks this campaign is over. They’re wrong,” Sanders said in an interview with the Associated Press. “Maybe it’s over for the insiders and the party establishment but the voters today in Indiana had a different idea.” The AP reported that the Vermont senator thinks that he has even more victories to come, including in West Virginia, Kentucky, Oregon and California.

Tuesday night left Sanders with 1,410 delegates, as compared to Clinton’s 1,700 delegates (not including superdelegates). In order to win the nomination, one of them needs to obtain 2,383 delegates or get voted in at the Democratic national convention this summer in Philadelphia.

For Sanders, winning the nomination would be a challenge. According to CNN, he needs more delegates than are left to win—meaning he needs to change the minds and support of superdelegates. Clinton has 520 superdelegates to Sanders’ 39, but they may change their candidate at any time.

“It’s an uphill fight for us. But you know what? I started this campaign 60 points behind Secretary Clinton. We’ve been fighting uphill from day one,” Sanders said in an interview with CNN. “We will continue to fight uphill and I think we still have a narrow path toward victory.”

With Ted Cruz and John Kasich dropping out of the race, the presidential election has come down to just three candidates: Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. Now it’s a race to the main competition for Sanders and Clinton to see who will compete with, and hopefully win against “The Donald.”

Jennifer Hudson Is 'Not Surprised' By Her Tony Nomination Snub

Hamilton has been at the center of Broadway hype for its ingenuity and crazy-good hip hop music, but for those of you who are less familiar with shows taking place on The Great White Way, there has been a STUNNING revival of The Color Purple happening, with Dreamgirls actress Jennifer Hudson making her Broadway debut in the production. This year's Tony Award nominations were announced yesterday morning, and surprisingly, Hudson’s name was missing from the list. Say whaaaaat?

According to Refinery29, the Oscar and Grammy winner apparently chalked her Tony snub up to the fact that she’s a celebrity, based on a now-deleted tweet.

Her performance as Shug Avery has received unprecedented praise from critics, and yet she was left without a nod, while two of her costars did receive nominations. In her tweet, Hudson hits the nail on the head in pointing out that the Tony Awards tend to leave celebrities unacknowledged for their work. Daniel Radcliffe, Daniel Craig, Ian McKellen and James Franco are just a few among many.

While Hudson's name is certainly a draw for audiences, she still deserves recognition for her hard work on the revival of this incredible musical. She graciously congratulated her costars and is set to leave the show on May 8th. We love you, Jennifer!

Here's Why I Won't Be Voting in the General Election

For months, we’ve seen both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton win primary after primary. It’s clear after the Indiana primary that Trump will be the Republican nominee, and Hillary Clinton’s recent wins have all but clinched the Democratic nomination for her. For me, seeing an election where Trump faces Clinton in the general election is my greatest political nightmare.

Surely, I thought to myself, I’m living in an alternate reality, and we’ll all be whisked into the real world in a matter of time. Well, this is reality—And though it’s one many of us don’t want to face, we have to decide where our vote is going in November.

Mine won’t be going in the ballot box.

With Americans on both sides feeling so strongly about the candidate of their choice, I struggled, as I wanted to feel strongly about a candidate too. I never supported Ted Cruz, John Kasich or even Marco Rubio. As a conservative college student, I was fresh out of luck.

Where was a candidate you could believe in when you needed one? Where was the candidate who could be politically correct simply out of common decency, and one who could treat others with respect? Where was the candidate that could still be strong and stand up for American values without undermining the rights of everyone? Though we started out with so many candidates on the Republican side, no one stood out.

I couldn’t get behind Trump because of his sexist and racist comments, and Hillary Clinton isn’t someone I particularly trust with the keys to the oval office. Her recent email server scandal and her handling of the situation in Benghazi leave me worried and afraid of the consequences of her being the next U.S. president.

I’m a conservative, and I don’t want to delve into all the reasons I don’t agree with Hillary Clinton and her policies or stances. I can’t vote for her because our ideas about what will be the best for America are vastly different.

During the last few months, it has pained me to see Trump rise in popularity through his bully mentality and become the presumptive Republican presidential nominee. He represents everything Americans aren’t, but what everyone assumes Americans are from obnoxious stereotypes. I don’t want him to be the one person the world looks to as a representative of the U.S.

And with no one for me to get behind, I’ll be honest, I won’t vote. I can’t.

I am frustrated because it is my civic duty to vote. It is a right that both revolutionaries and suffragists fought for, so that I could exercise it with freedom and conviction. I don’t take that vote for granted by any means, but I know its significance. I understand that it is for me to have a voice, to express my opinion and to partake in democracy. I knew when I turned 18, it would mean I’d get to vote in the next election. I was excited, eager and ready to support the candidate I felt would make the best leader for my country.

And yet, I find myself paralyzed when deciding who I should vote for. Each candidate goes against what I believe in and what I believe is right for this country. How can I put my name down for someone who I don’t truly support? That is not patriotism, and it is not in the spirit of America.

So I won’t be voting. I won’t because if I go to vote, it’ll be a game of pick your poison.

I won’t vote because it feels wront to choose one candidate simply because you dislike the other candidate even more.

So come Nov. 8, you won’t see me with an “I Voted!” sticker on my shirt. I'm choosing to abstain from the 2016 general election.

Why We Ended It To Save Our Relationship

By Kaitlin Kitchens

Being in a relationship is a beautiful thing. You have a boyfriend. You have a best friend. You have a date for every meal. You don’t have to wear makeup to class anymore. You have someone to laugh with. You have someone to kiss. You have someone to love. You have someone that loves you. You’re in your perfect world with your perfect guy.

Now I could sit here and lie to you and pretend that my past relationship was the example relationship, but I won’t do that. We fought, and we had our ups and downs, but at the end of the day, he was still my number one. We were both willing to look past our imperfections and our mistakes because we loved each other, and that was what mattered.

So the question is, what went wrong? Nothing was going wrong. Well, I mean we’d had a few fights here and there over car directions or who stole the covers, but nothing enough to pull us apart. He was my everything. I was his everything. It was a fairy tale.

But then the news came. I was moving three states away, eight and a half hours away. Now many of you could laugh and say that’s not that far; I mean people in the military are much farther away than that right? There are planes, and trains, and cars and I’d walk to him if I had no other way. In the heat of the moment, I was willing to do anything. I was going to use all my money I earned this upcoming summer and spend it on plane tickets. Distance was just a minor bump in the road.

We ended it. We ended our beautiful, magical love story. The relationship I thought could take any battle wounds died. It was over in a blink of an eye. I was going home, and he was staying here. Distance destroyed us before it even started. So if we were both so in love, why didn’t we take the risk, the chance that we might actually be “the ones” for each other?

I have multiple friends doing the long-distance battle, and it’s a battle enough to watch them do it. I know someone who has cheated on his girlfriend countless times and another who has made out with more guys than I have fingers. I have listened to my friend fight with her boyfriend too many times about going out for a drink or two. I’ve listen to him too many times call her names I couldn’t imagine calling a significant other.

I’m not trying to say every long distance relationship fails, because we’ve all seen those sappy army love stories. But what I am saying is it is a tough battle that comes with a lot of unnecessary drama and arguments. My past relationship had too many positives to allow it to potentially have so many negatives in the future. We ended our relationship to save our relationship. Tears were shed and hearts were broken, but he’s now my best friend and not some ex that I hate. We might not have had the perfect love story, and it might not have been the longest-lasting love story. But it was our love story. And as that cliché quote goes, “If it’s meant to be, I’ll see you down the road.”

How to Spice Up Your Sex Life in a Long-Term Relationship

Being in a long-term relationship has a ton of benefits, and one of those benefits is the close intimacy shared between you and your partner. However, becoming too comfortable with your partner in terms of your sex life can become quite monotonous. Coming up with new ways to bring excitement back into sex with your significant other can be challenging, so we’ve talked with an expert and a few college women on how to combat this issue.

Couples relationship expert Dr. Diana Kirschner is the author of Sealing the Deal: The Love Mentor’s Guide to Lasting Love and a true guru on all things love.

According to the Journal of the American Medical Association, 43 percent of American women and 31 percent of men admitted they had a sexual problem. While there are numerous possibilities for these numbers, Dr. Kirschner says that the biggest issues for couples who experience a lack of sexual fulfillment are that they don’t make sex fun, they don’t experiment and are often afraid to tell each other what they really like in bed.

She suggests that there are four primary ways in which couples can spice up their sex life: novelty, sexual trance, partner engagement and role play.

Novelty

“Novelty keeps dopamine, the brain chemical associated with exhilaration and ecstasy, going,” says Dr. Kirschner. In non-science terms? Trying out new things during sex can add a boost to your body’s response to sex.

Bringing in a change of scenery is always a fun idea according to Hillary Holmes, a junior at the University of Texas at Austin. “My boyfriend and I live in an apartment together, and to keep things interesting, we attempt at trying to have sex in a different room every week. Sometimes it’s an ultimate fail and we end up laughing, but it brings us closer!” she says.

If you and your partner are a little less daring, trying new positions is a classic, yet efficient way of keeping the spark aflame. Nancy Brown, a sophomore at the University of Iowa, says, “Certain positions can really push the limits – and your muscles – of sexual satisfaction.”

Sexual trance

Sexual trance refers to each partner focusing on his or her own pleasure and sensations to create a fulfilling sexual release. The purpose of this is to learn what stimulates your own body and ultimately enhance both you and your partner’s sexual experience. Dr. Kirschner suggests that this can be done by trying different sexual acts such as intercourse and oral sex. “The more you know about each other’s body, the better you and your lover will be able to please each other,” she says. "In order to learn what works for them, try touching, massaging, licking or stimulating all the different parts of their body."

Jessica Brown, a senior at the University of South Carolina, says that experimenting with stimulating various places on her partner's body definitely helped with their sexual fulfillment.

"I observed that touching certain places on my body that turned me on didn't necessarily have the same effect on him," she says. "I think that's what most people fall short on; they assume that everything that turns them on automatically turns the other person on as well, which isn't true."

Partner engagement

Partner engagement is pretty much exactly how it sounds. You and your partner are dedicated to the fullest sexual expression and fulfillment of each other. However, it’s important to never go to the point where there is intolerable pain or physical or emotional trauma. Learn what your partner likes and doesn’t like.

According to Sean Jameson, sex coach and creator of the Bad Girl's Bible, people tend to be guarded about their sexual fetishes and aren't as eager to open up about them right away.

"Start by asking him if there is anything that he'd like to try out in the bedroom," he suggests. "This is a nice, relaxed way to start exploring what he really gets turned on by. Then once he can see that you are comfortable exploring what he likes, he will start to really open up to you and talk to you about what really gets him off."

“Be adventurous and take the initiative at times with pleasing each other,” Dr. Kirschner adds.

Role play

The last type of sexual enhancement is role play. This is where living out your sexual fantasies comes in to play. According to Dr. Kirschner, 95 percent of people report that they have sexual fantasies so there’s no need to feel weird about it!

“Fantasies help each of you to explore all the different aspects of self which frees up energy and loosens you up,” Dr. Kirschner explains. “The excitement and newness of role play keeps the dopamine flowing, which keeps the passion going.”

Some of the more common roles couples choose are the infamous “naughty doctor and patient” and the “naughty cop and lawbreaker.” While it may sound a little silly, once you’re fully into the role, you’ll likely overcome the initial embarrassment and find pleasure.

"My partner and I take a slightly different approach to role play," says Kelly Richardson, a second year at the University of Florida. "We turn on a porn episode and try our best to mimic what the couple on-screen does. Even if we don't get the exact position correct, it's a fun way to get some inspiration."

With these techniques, rekindling the excitement of sex with your partner can be much less difficult than it seems. The key to remember is that just because your relationship has lasted for a while doesn’t mean your sex life with your partner has to suffer!

The 7 Types of Breakups That Happen in College

$

0

Break out the Ben and Jerry’s! There’s a pretty good chance you’re going to break up with someone during college, but not all breakups are created equal. From the gut-wrenching to the inevitable, some breakups require months of mourning, and others, only days before you’re blasting Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies.” Read on to see which ones you’ve experienced (and which you’ve yet to experience)!

1. The Thanksgiving Breakup

Also known as the “Turkey Dump,” this is when you and your high school sweetheart return home during Thanksgiving break and (probably in melodramatic fashion) decide that the relationship is no longer working. You agree it’s time to “do college right” and have a proper freshman year filled with dormcest and frat party hookups. All further contact between the two of you will be reserved for holiday breaks where you may occasionally send or receive a nostalgic booty text.

2. The Taylor Swift Breakup

In her words, “you are never, ever, ever getting back together.” Maybe he cheated on you or just turned out to be a total jerk, but this is the breakup in which you gather all of his things, throw them in a cardboard box and then demand your roommate give them to his roommate. Custody is determined and friend groups are split. Maybe he’ll desperately try to win you back, but to no avail. You are over it. Next, please!

3. The Slow Fizzle Breakup

So maybe you two were never even officially an item, but between missed calls and ignored texts, suddenly you went from consistent late night “study sessions” to barely acknowledging each other. You’re not quite sure what happened. You send a few catch-up texts with invites to casually hang, but it just never happens. You decide he simply got wrapped up in fraternity life or his demanding major and just doesn’t have time for a girlfriend. You’re not too upset about the whole ordeal, but you do reroute your walk to class to avoid him.

4. The Study Abroad Breakup

This is the breakup that you knew was coming all along. You two met each other in a sweaty nightclub in Paris or a café in Barcelona and things were never the same. (That accent, though.) You fell tragically in love with him and at the end of the semester, he even drove you to the airport where you shared such a sad, tearful goodbye that you felt like your life was a movie. You didn’t think you could handle the distance, but you promised to stay in touch. Now your contact is reduced to casual catch-up sessions via Facebook, but you’ll always remember the beautiful times you shared together.

5. The Sigh-of-Relief Breakup

Remember that time you said yes to the rando that asked you out, out of sympathy or maybe curiosity? A few months of dating go by and you realize you’re just not that into him. From his questionable wardrobe choices to his gross habits, this boyfriend was never the One. There simply was no future. Your friends were always confused as to what you saw in him and quite frankly, you were always out of his league. You were a little nervous pre-breakup but you took a deep breath, let the guy down gently and then bought yourself some champagne on the way home. Single never tasted so good.

6. The Déjà Vu Breakup

You broke up with him... and three days later, you two are posting love proclamations on Facebook much to your friends’ dismay. You break up every few months, only to sort things out and then come out strong again. He’s probably not right for you, and you might not be right for him, but for some reason, you just can’t give each other up. This will probably continue throughout your entire time at college only to be stopped by your bestie (bless her heart) who stages an intervention and then sets you up with someone way more stable.

7. The “Let’s Be Friends” Breakup

The relationship just wasn’t turning out the way you had hoped it would. Maybe he was too in love with you or you were too in love with him, but things just weren’t balanced. You decide it would be worth it to salvage the friendship, even if you were never truly friends to begin with. You continue hanging out, sans hooking up, but some flirtation remains. Then, he starts dating someone else and you realize a clean break might have been better. Or, if you’re lucky, you two actually forge a really fruitful friendship and realize that that was what you wanted all along. Friends for the win!

While some breakups are easy, others may leave you with no sense of closure and may still be hard to think about. In all seriousness, breaking up is never easy to do — so if you’re struggling, pop in your favorite T-Swift album, grab the ice cream and let yourself mourn. Otherwise, enjoy the single life, collegiettes!

There's Been a Recent Surge in Lip Enhancements

More than ever, people are wanting to give the Kylie lip a try—and no, we don't just mean her lip kits. As reported by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, 2015 saw a spike in lip enhancement surgery.

Doctors claim to believe that the pressure to look good on social media had an impact on the numbers in this report. As Dr. David Colbert of New York Dermatology Group explained to Mashable, "There is a growing pressure from the Instagram selfie generation to look your best online. It's almost as if cyber reality has outdone simple life."

In addition to today’s Instagram pressures, lip enhancements (or lip augmentations, by plastic surgery terms) are thought to be popular because they are relatively less painful and costly compared to other plastic surgeries.

Needless to say, Jenner isn’t the only one trying to enhance her selfies with fuller lips—many young people have the same goal in mind.

Chrissy Teigen Goes Off On Her Online Bullies

The comments section can be a dangerous place on the Internet, and Chrissy Teigen has had enough. She's finally decided to take a stand against the in-fighting among her 6.5 million Instagram followers.

Over the weekend, she vented her frustrations over Twitter.

Several people responded, pointing out that Teigen has the option of reporting offensive comments or blocking certain users; but given the thousands of comments each post yields, that is far from realistic. With comments targeting her, her fans and one another, Teigen's solution is: "NO MORE COMMENTSSSSSSSSS!"

“I know that in the grand scheme of things, it's such a silly cause to launch a tirade against, but I am just really bummed to see it all day,” she added on Twitter.

Regardless, we're glad the model is speaking out. Teigen's Instagram is a place where she shares photos of the things that matter to her, like food and her family. There's nothing about these images that warrant any sort of negativity—so can't we all just be nice to each other?

Chloë Grace Moretz Speaks Out About Her Beef With Kim Kardashian

Actress Chloë Grace Moretz is busy promoting her new movie Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising—a much-anticipated sequel to the Zac Efron gun show that was Neighbors. But it seems like people would much rather talk about her recent Twitter feud with reality TV star Kim Kardashian.

A few months ago, Moretz replied to a Kim K. tweet that broke the Internet (again!). Kardashian posted a nude mirror selfie, along with the caption, “When you’re like I have nothing to wear…” and received a ton of feedback, both negative and positive.

Moretz, a self-proclaimed feminist advocate, wasn’t amused.

In a recent interview with Glamour magazine, Moretz explained her side of the story. “I had just gotten off a plane from South Korea, I was incredibly jet-lagged, and I couldn’t take one more thing. I saw that photo, and I had to say something. That picture wasn’t linked to body confidence. It wasn’t a #BodyConfidence or #LoveWhoYouAre. It was done in a slightly voyeuristic light, which I felt was a little inappropriate for young women to see,” she says.

Moretz adds that Kardashian’s tweet suggests to young girls that this is what they have to do to get more likes or attract more followers on social media. Moretz explains, “When I post a bikini shot, I get thousands of new followers.” But that’s not why she does it. “I do it because it’s a body-confidence thing. I posted one in Mexico. I felt good, and I was wearing a bikini. It wasn’t me sexualizing myself.”

As for Kardashian’s insulting reply, Moretz says that it didn’t bother her very much because it wasn’t an intellectual response that furthered the conversation about body image and feminist values. “It was aggressive, and also it was incorrect. I don’t have 45 million followers or a TV show that follows my life. But people know who I am. I pride myself on having opinions, and I don’t express them in snarky ways toward people.”

With her on- and off-screen confidence and her willingness to stand up for what she believes in, 19-year-old Chloë Grace Moretz is definitely a force to reckon with in Hollywood.

Rumer Willis Claims Photographers Bullied Her By Photoshopping Her Chin

Actress and Dancing with the Stars winner Rumer Willis is the latest victim of what we've come to know as a Photoshop fail, and she is not backing down in her response to the situation.

In photos taken for the new issue of Vanity Fair, Willis is seen posing with her sisters, Tallulah and Scout. After seeing one of the images from the shoot, the actress took to Instagram to alert her many followers of her feelings about the photo. Willis claims the photographers who took the shots doctored the image to make her jaw look smaller. She is rightly upset to see the magazine could not accept her natural beauty without making a few tweaks to the features that make her uniquely gorgeous.

Rumer goes on to state that this drastic change to her appearance is "a form of bullying, which I won't stand for." We feel you, sister!

Photographers Mark Williams and Sara Hirakawa issued a statement following Rumer's Instagram post, shedding some light on the image's inconsistencies: "The retouching that was done to the photograph was only done to resolve some distortion with using a wide angle lens for a group shot, and not to alter or modify anyone's face…It saddens us that Rumer feels the way she does about the image and hope she understands that there was never any intention with it to alter her appearance."

Though this explanation may be enough to prove the intention behind this Photoshop flop is a simple misunderstanding, it is great to see Willis joining the fight against the overly edited images we continue to see in magazines. We love that Rumer understands the importance of loving the skin you're in; it is clear she loves herself despite the fact that others might "feel a need to change" how she looks.

What You Need to Know to Move Abroad After Graduation

While some collegiettes have a job lined up or plan to attend graduate school, others want to take the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to move abroad for a job. If you’re deciding if packing up and moving to another country is adventurous or just too risky, we’re here to help. We’ve spoken to experts and collegiettes to help you figure out what you need to know before you buy that one-way ticket to a new country.

Search for career opportunities

Know you want to work abroad but aren’t sure where to start in your job search? Lesley Mitler, president of Priority Candidates Inc., a career coaching service for college students, recent grads and millennials, recommends Anywork Anywhere, a free site that posts everything from job and volunteer opportunities (filtered by country) to document and housing information that may vary by country.

In your job search, it’s important to apply for positions based on more than just your dream location. Remember that when you’re going abroad, the same basic job-hunting rules apply. Mitler says that it’s important to understand how a job abroad will benefit you in terms of your long-term career goals.

Stay connected

Even if you don’t plan on using your cell phone much while abroad, having an active cell phone is important for staying safe and communicating with people both in your host country and back home. It’s likely that your cell phone carrier has options for an international plan; however, you also might want to consider buying a cell phone when you get to your new country.

“I bought a SIM card [when I was] in New Zealand,” says Emma, a senior at the University of Delaware. “I prepaid for my minutes in data instead of just getting an international plan, so I knew exactly how much I was spending and didn’t have to deal with any awful surprises when the bill came.”

Manage your money

ATM fees and credit card transaction fees can add up fast when you’re abroad. If you’re going to be working overseas for more than a couple of months, setting up a local bank account is a good way to avoid paying extra on every transaction. Check with your bank before you set anything up to determine your options overseas; it’s possible that they have partner banks in different countries that you can use to avoid an abundance of fees.

If you’re going to be using your normal credit or debit cards while abroad, be sure to let your bank know where you’re moving a few weeks before you go in order to avoid having your account frozen.

“I moved to Australia to work for a year,” says Samantha, a Penn State University graduate. “I assumed that my credit card would work while I was there. After my first transaction, my credit card company froze my account because I forgot to tell them I was moving! It took days to get the problem fixed.”

Apply for documentation

While every country differs when it comes to which documents you’ll need in order to work abroad, you can count on filling out some paperwork before you go. Here are two things you’ll definitely need:

  • Passport: If you’re going to work in another country, you’ll need a valid passport before you go. While it’s possible to get your forms approved the same day you fill them out, it can take several weeks for your passport to be delivered. If you need to apply for or renew your passport, be sure to leave enough time to do so. Visit the U.S. Department of State website to find out how to get a passport.

  • Visa: Every country has different policies relating to the visa you’ll need in order to work and how long it will last. Mitler recommends applying for a working holiday visa, which is generally issued for people ages 18-30 with a bachelor’s degree. This option is great for collegiettes looking to work abroad for about a year. Getting a visa can take months depending on the country and length of your stay, so visit your local embassy or consulate as soon as possible to avoid delays in your plans.

Get access to health care

Having access to health care while you’re abroad is crucial for ensuring your safety during your time in another country. Once you’ve accepted a job offer, check with your new company to see if there are any health benefits included in your offer. If not, you may need to find a health insurance policy from a company that specializes in international coverage.

To keep your medical routine on track, it’s important to get duplicates of anything you normally use (contacts, glasses, solution, etc.) in case your host country doesn’t carry the brand or product you normally use.

While you may not think twice about the prescription drugs you take frequently, some of these may be illegal in your host country. Before you pack these in your suitcase, be sure to contact your embassy to find out if your normal medicine is allowed in the country and follow up with your doctor if not.

Avoid the language barrier

You may not need to be fluent in your host country’s language to get by, but when working abroad, it’s important to know as much of the basics as you can before you go.

“I moved to Spain for six months after graduation and I had never taken a Spanish class,” says Ciara, a Rutgers University graduate. “The company I was working for was full of English speakers so I thought it wouldn’t matter, but when interacting with clients and locals it became embarrassing when I couldn’t understand the basics. Some of them were even offended.”

Online programs such as Livemocha and Babbel offer free or low-cost starting points for learning the native tongue of your new home.

While we hope your time abroad is full of nothing but great experiences, in the event of an emergency, it’s always better to be prepared. Registering with your embassy through the U.S. Department of State’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) is a great way to have support during an emergency as well as receive updates on travel warnings and alerts for the country that you’re in.

Whether you’re considering going abroad for a month, a year or a lifetime, do your research in order to make an educated decision about moving abroad after graduation. Safe travels, collegiettes!

Netflix Knows You Better Than You Know Yourself

It turns out that a picture really is worth a thousand words, and that Netflix is even smarter than we suspected.

According to a blog post by Nick Nelson, Netflix's global manager of creative services, the company has spent years trying to figure out what makes customers choose to watch certain titles over others. Now, they know exactly how to make you click in the 1.8 seconds you spend looking at each potential movie or show while scrolling through all the options.

“Knowing we have such a short time to capture interest, images become the most efficient and compelling way to help members discover the perfect title as quickly as possible," Nelson wrote.

Their research discovered that photos showing three people or fewer, villains, or widely known characters almost always attract more clicks. And, if a person is featured in the image, that person must be displaying a complex emotion to catch your attention; otherwise you're not likely to engage. “This is likely due to the fact that complex emotions convey a wealth of information to members regarding the tone or feel of the content,” according to Nelson—and a simple emotion like plain ol' happiness or sadness probably isn't going to do that very well. And the three-people-or-fewer rule definitely seems right. When you're looking at Netflix on your tiny computer screen and you see a photo of the whole cast of a show, it'll seem like an overwhelming crowd—and you'll move on to something else.

The results of the research differ greatly between countries, Nelson says. “Examining regional differences helped us see that while great stories transcend borders, it is important to understand how presenting each story in different regions impacts how quickly members from around the world actually discover that story through artwork," he wrote.

Pretty interesting stuff! Pay attention to what shows catch your eye next time you're looking for something to watch—you might see these tips in action!

Justin Bieber Is Being Sued For Breaking This Guy's Phone

After performing in Houston on April 9th, Justin Bieber decided to go out and explore the city. He ended up at Cle nightclub, where he tried to use a beer bong to partake in a drink. Now, Bieber is being sued for what occurred during his eventful night out.

According to the lawsuit, bystander Robert Earl Morgan, who was also at Cle that night, pulled out his phone when he saw Justin preparing to use the beer bong. It's hard to blame the guy, especially knowing that if we were at the same nightclub as Justin, we would want documentation, too! As almost anyone would, Morgan thought the video would be perfect for Snapchat.

Sadly, Biebs had a bit of a mishap with the beer bong, spilling beer all over himself. Justin quickly became alarmed when he realized Morgan was filming the whole thing. He was apparently so angry that he took Morgan's cell phone, smashed it into pieces and had Morgan thrown out by his security team.

Morgan is now claiming that the damage done to his phone caused him to lose all of his photos, even those from his grandmother's 100th birthday. So obviously as a result, Morgan is suing Bieber for $75,000. Maybe this ridiculousness can all be fixed with a simple "sorry"?

Three SUNY Albany Students Plead Not Guilty to Lying About Racist Attack

Three SUNY Albany students who claimed to be the victims of a racist attack on a city bus were charged Monday for falsifying the report. On Wednesday, the women pleaded not guilty to the charges, according to CNN.

Back in January, Ariel Agudio, Alexis Briggs and Asha Burwell, all 20, told police that they were verbally harassed and then assaulted by a group of 10 to 12 white students on a bus heading to campus while bystanders watched, NBC News reports.

The alleged incident resulted in hundreds of people protesting on the UAlbany campus, and caught the attention of important figures like Hillary Clinton, who tweeted, “There's no excuse for racism and violence on a college campus."

According to NBC News, after reviewing video footage of the event, Albany police have discredited the womens’ claims, saying they were actually the aggressors, not the victims.

A February press release from the University says that both Alexis Briggs and Ariel Agudio have been charged with assault in the third degree and falsely reporting an incident in the third degree, and Alexis Briggs with assault in the third degree.

“We took this incident very seriously and did a thorough and careful investigation,” UPD Chief J. Frank Wiley was quoted as saying in the release. “The evidence shows that, contrary to how the defendants originally portrayed things, these three individuals were not the victims of a crime. Rather, we allege that they are the perpetrators.”

Lawyers for Agudio and Burwell have both said in statements that the defendants are not guilty, with Burwell's lawyer calling SUNY Albany "University of Injustice," according to NBC.

Her name is Marjorie 'Bo' Gilbert and she's from Aberdare, Wales. She has just become the first 100-year-old model to appear in Vogue, crushing Sports Illustrated's accomplishment of featuring a 56-year-old swimsuit model. Gilbert was chosen over handfuls of willowy and flawless 16-25 year-old models.

Dressed in Valentino glasses and a Victoria Beckham top, Gilbert smiled for her photographer, Phil Poynter. Her photos are advertisements for the British department store, Harvey Nichols. Business Insider reports that the ad campaign was in celebration of British Vogue's one hundredth birthday. The photos are featured in the May issue of British Vogue.

In a video the company made about Gilbert, she reflects on the way fashion has changed, "I always remember seeing a lady in a trouser suit and I had never seen a lady in a trouser suit before and it really caught my eye!"

Her adorable accent, classic style, and desire to present herself well is inspiration to thousands.

"I do things that I think a lot of people wouldn't do at my age. I always liked keeping myself looking quite decent even if I wasn't going out. " Gilbert says in the video.

She also adds something that women around the world should take to heart: "I certainly don't dress up for boys," she declares.

And we shouldn't either.
