With February right around the corner, it’s time to start planning your Valentine’s Day outfit. If you’re like us, you’re over the cliché heart print and want to try something different this year. Whether you’re going on a date with your S/O, venturing out on a Tinder date, or chilling at home with your girls, your outfit should make you feel all the red heart eye emojis this year.

We’ve curated 5 Valentine’s Day outfits that will give you some major inspo, no matter what your plans entail. On a day for celebrating those you love, it’s only fitting that you show your closet some love too. Here are our fave looks for any V-Day occasion:

1. For a fancy date night

If you’re headed to a fancy dinner this V-Day, add a romantic feel to your look. We suggest a classic shade of red for a romantic feel. Or, for an edgy twist, go for a satin black number. Pair your cocktail dress with an accent accessory, like a bold print of a splash of sparkle. And for shoes? Grab a low or platform heel for a polished (and easy to walk in look). Perhaps opt for the stilettos for knock-out fit! Trust us: your date will love any of these looks.

2. For the G.N.O.

A G.N.O. is the perf opportunity to celebrate the single life and really go all out with a super fun and chic outfit. Bodysuits are the key flirty piece for a nighttime vibe, preferably in darker colors. If you're feeling on the sweeter side, go for a brighter skirt. If you're feeling dark and daring, grab that leather mini skirt and bring it out on the town. Pair any of these pieces with an ankle or thigh-high boot and a chained bag, and you're ready to take the club by storm on V-Day.

3. For a low-key date

If your date plans are a little more relaxed than an upscale dinner, such as a walk around the city or a picnic at the park, opt for a more ~casual~ vibe. Grab your trusty pair of jeans to get the look started. Then choose between a graphic tee for a classic look or a casual blouse for something little more exciting. Top off the look with a new pair of sneaks or a comfy pair of mules.

4. For class on-campus

You don’t have to have plans to take part in the fashion fun that comes with Valentine’s Day! Even if you’re just headed to school, catch your crush’s attention with a pink and red sweater and a bold red lip. Lauren Conrad’s look is a subtle nod at the holiday without going totally overboard with V-Day spirit.

5. If Netflix is your one true love (honestly, same)

Even if you don’t have a valentine, you can still celebrate the day (or better yet, celebrate Galentine's Day). Grab your favorite snacks and your besties to watch To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before for the tenth time. We won’t judge you.

Single or not, plan a date with your one true love this Valentine’s Day: your closet. We don’t know about you, but we’ll be rocking these looks all year round when we’re in need of some outfit love.
