After the Manchester bombing in May 2017, Ariana Grande has been open about her anxiety and PTSD that she has since suffered. On many occasions she has expressed the effects of the bombing, telling Vogue UK that the dizzines and extreme anxiety she felt after the Manchester concert were in fact related to PTSD. "It's hard to talk about because so many people have suffered such severe, tremendous loss. But, yeah, it's a real thing," Grande said.
Late this week, Grande reminded her 150 million plus followers on Intagram that the effects of her PTSD is still in fact a very real thing for her. She shared what she described as "terrifying" images of her brain scan compared to a "healthy brain" on her Instagram story, captioned "not a joke". The scan of the "healhty brain" almost has no highlighted areas, whereas Grande's brian has many highlighted areas. Her brain appears to have much more trauma than even the brain scan she showed of another brain affected by PTSD.
Many fans posted on Twitter and other social media platforms to support and thank Grande for being open about her struggles.

The pop star continues to recognize that her fans and others have also gone through hard situations. In her interview with Vogue UK about the bombing in Manchester she also stated, “I know those families and my fans, and everyone there experienced a tremendous amount of it as well. Time is the biggest thing. I feel like I shouldn't even be talking about my own experience — like I shouldn't even say anything. I don't think I'll ever know how to talk about it and not cry."
