Despite being a beauty obsessive, I'm really more of a skincare obsessive, so I have a secret I'd like to share with you all today: I hate makeup. I do. I don't like how 99% of it feels on my face, I am not skilled at all (my beauty tutorial-watching ended in 2012, so I missed out on contouring, highlighting and the like, and I am waaay to cheap to be out here buying hundred dollar palettes. But like, I like to look good, and I like to be as glowy and bronze-y as the rest of us. So what's a lazy gal to do? Meet skincare as makeup, the trend you're truly missing out on if you're not already invested.
I've gotten pretty damn good at skincare as makeup, if I do say so myself. A low-key, subtle glow in just three products? Yes, it's possible. And here's what I use to make it happen.
Here's how you can do skincare as makeup:
1. Find a do-it-all skincare product.
For me, that's Drunk Elephant's sunscreen. I apply this bad boy all over my place in one of two ways. If I'm truly rushing, I'll just plop about two dime sizes on the back of my hand, and then I'll smear it all over my face with my fingers. If I have a little more time, I'll apply to the back of my hand, and then, using a slightly dense, but still fluffy, brush, I'll press it into my face.

2. Give yourself some bronze.
I kept seeing people talking about these drops on Instagram, so I cracked and ordered some online. And, no joke, this has become one of the most impactful parts of my face, every day. While they are pricey (in the photo, I'm using a smaller size, so don't worry, when you pay full price, the product is bigger!), you need the tiiiiniest drop to get so much bronze. I use this by just dabbing a bit on the very tip of my finger. Then, I make little dots on the high points of my face, including my cheekbones, the tip of my nose, and my eyelids, blend, and go live my best life.

3. Tie it all together with a warm pink.
Like most other humans, I need a lip balm with me wherever I go. But when I need my skincare to do more work, I like to reach for something that's as hydrating as it is colorful, and that's when I grab this tinted moisture stick from my most recent fave, Cocokind. I use this as a mult-tasking product like the rest of these, so I'll use it as a lip balm and also a blush. To use as a blush, just draw small circles on your cheeks and blend out. Instant color.

The final look:
Note that glowy cheekbone, yes please and thank you. Fluff up those brows and you're ready to go.
