DJ Khaled Says There Are 'Different Rules For Men'& That's Not Even The Height Of This Problematic Interview

Those incessant DM’s you receive from random f*ckboys who couldn’t wait for you to swipe right on them during your twice daily bus commute are enough to make you ward off dating, men and social interactions in general (or at least go on intermittent hiatuses). Although your f*ckboy repellent helps amend the mistakes in your life your regrettable swipes, it won’t allow you to indefinitely evade problematic behavior from every person, unfortunately—which might explain how we were exposed to DJ Khaled’s latest sexist troubling comments about oral sex.

During an interview with The Breakfast Club, DJ Khaled said, “I believe that the woman should praise the man—the king.” Beyond the somewhat men-idolatry prelude to his interview, Khaled added that there are allegedly “different rules” for men.

However, this user isn’t the only person to promise reciprocate oral. According to Spin, Smash Mouth suggested they’d dine on what Khaled apparently doesn’t have the appetite for. (One man’s loss is another’s gain, I guess?)

The Cut reports that Khaled had some interesting opinions on why he doesn’t go down on women (which also sounds like the introduction to a think piece that nobody wanted, needed or asked for). Somehow the interview transitioned into a discussion about oral sex and subsequent medieval gender roles.

According to The Root, Khaled added, “If you holding it down for your woman I feel like the woman should praise. And a man should praise the queen. But you know, my way of praising is called, ‘how was dinner?’, ‘You like the house you living in? You like all them clothes you getting? I’m taking care of your family, I’m taking care of my family…’ You know, I’m putting in the work.” Aside from the discrepancies in how Khaled allegedly distributes praise in his household, there’s also apparently oral-disparity that I didn’t know existed in hetero couples.

After the interviewer asked for Khaled to clarify if he goes down on his SO, he said, “Nahhh. Never! I don’t DO that.” He also reiterated that he doesn’t go down on women; however, he expands his points to claim that men abide by “different rules.”

“You gotta understand, we the king. There’s some things that y’all might not wanna do, but it got to get done. I just can’t do what you want me to do. I just can’t,” Khaled expanded. So apparently, in Khaled's opinion, it’s acceptable for a man to refuse to go down on a woman, but a woman is expected to perform oral sex on a man. (This sounds synonymous with incel ideology.)

Following these now-infamous statements, the dark abyss of the Twitterverse took notice of Khaled’s head hypocrisy.

One Twitter user wrote, “DJ Khaled literally worships the ground baby Asahd crawls on but won't put his mouth on the vagina that birthed him. Absolutely ridiculous.” Yikes, if that doesn’t objectify women to solely their reproductive purposes (and man-pleasing subordinance, according to Khaled), I don’t know what does.

Whereas, other users are sarcastically using Khaled’s quotes to hit on women. “Texting every girl in my phone 'did you hear DJ Khaled doesn't eat pussy? what an idiot. by the way, im not like him. I definitely eat pussy. Just so you know, I actually think it's fun,” another user tweeted.

Sorry Mr. Khaled, but after watching the real king grace our theaters in Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War, your misogynistic commentary doesn’t seem like it counts as a royal monologue.
