On May 19, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will officially tie the knot. According to royal officials, Meghan's divorced parents will be arriving in London before the ceremony to meet Queen Elizabeth II, as well as other members of the royal family.
Harry's press secretary, Jason Knauf, announced that Meghan's father, Thomas Markle, and her mother, Doria Ragland, will be taking the time a week before the wedding in order to become acquainted with his family. Along with the Queen, they are scheduled to meet her husband, Prince Phillip, Harry's father Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, as well as his brother Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton.
On the morning of Saturday, May 19, a car will reportedly arrive to take Meghan and her mother to Windsor Castle. Her father will walk her down the aisle of St. George's Chapel for the ceremony, which is scheduled to take place at 12:00 p.m. GMT (7.00 a.m. EST).
Knauf stated that the bride-to-be is "delighted to have her parents by her side on this important and happy occasion."
In other details, word is Meghan has chosen not to have a maid of honor, with Knauf adding that "she has a very close-knit group of friends and did not want to choose one over the other."
Harry will also be involving his mother's side of the family in the wedding. The three siblings of his deceased mother, Princess Diana, have been invited, with Diana's older sister, Lady Jane Fellowes, expected to give a reading.
The newlyweds will reportedly spend a week before their honeymoon after the wedding undertaking a public engagement.
