What are you doing on October 26 this fall? If your schedule looks pretty clear, then book a trip to Paris for the opening of maybe the coolest museum ever: the Foundation Louis Vuitton Museum. The building is going to be huge (over 126,000 square feet), and from what it looks like, gorgeous.
What will the museum hold within its walls? No, unfortunately it won’t have vintage Louis luggage lining the hallways – although, that would be pretty awesome. Instead, the museum will become home to the extensive corporate art collection of LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy), the company that owns the designer label.
We don’t know exactly what the art collection consists of, but it’s probably safe to say that it’s going to be pretty incroyable, as the French say. Bernard Arnault, the company president, hinted that the mix of art will be pretty “eclectic,” so there will be a little bit for everyone.
The ultra-modern, ultra-chic museum will be open to the public, so even if you can’t afford a Louis bag (*cough* all of us *cough*), you can still be apart of the legacy of the late French luggage designer.
So, who wants to start planning a trip to Paris? The croissants (and the art) are calling our names!
