‘Tis the season for drinking pumpkin spice lattes, splurging on all the candy and, of course, devoting hours planning the perfect Halloween costume. Although the first two are fun, the latter isn’t always. We thought we’d make your Halloween costume planning a little bit easier this year by providing the best, easy-to-follow makeup tutorials perfect for any costume.

1. Pixel Face

This look doesn’t even need an outfit to accompany it, so if you’re under a time crunch this is the makeup for you. Pair an all-black outfit with this trippy face tutorial and you’ll have everyone’s attention. All you need for this look is different shades of makeup to create the illusion of pixelated shades.

2. Trippy Double Vision

This is another great look if you didn’t have time to pick up a costume. No one will be able to figure out how you got your face to appear doubled, and you’ll be the talk of the bar!

3. Mermaid Scales

If you’re planning to be a mermaid this Halloween but aren’t sure how to get the perfect makeup look to compliment your fin, this is the video for you. For this look you’ll need a pair of fishnet stockings and fun, whimsical eyeshadow colors to create a scale effect. The best part? This look is super simple but looks like you took hours applying it.

4. Khaleesi from Game of Thrones

Channel your inner “Mother of Dragons” with this easy-to-follow makeup look. You can follow the tutorial exactly, or create your own modified look to suit your preference. Top off the look with a wig, or braid your own hair.

5. Fortune Teller

This look could work for a fortune teller or a witch-inspired makeup look. The key to perfecting this is a dark, smoky eye paired with gun-metal glitter. This is a great option if you want to give off a mysterious vibe without covering your entire face with costume makeup.

6. The Scariest Look Ever

The only thing scarier than your average clown is Stephen King’s “Pennywise.” Put on your scariest face with the help of this YouTube tutorial. This is a more-involved look, requiring you to cover your entire face with a thick coat of makeup, but if you’re up for the challenge you’ll be sure to have the best look of the night.

7. Taylor Swift’s "LWYMMD" Look

Look what Halloween made you do! Channel your inner Taylor Swift with this sexy look. You’ll need dark lipstick, some hairspray and a smoky eyeshadow palette to complete this Halloween showstopper.

8. A Magical Unicorn

Fantasy characters have been trending recently, so why not dress up as one of the most popularized icons, a magical unicorn. You can achieve this look in no time, all you’ll need are pastel eyeshadow, hair chalk (or a wig if you’re able to find one) and sparkles-- all the sparkles! Check out this video to see how this ~unicorn~ put her look together.
