In case you didn't know, today is Spirit Day, an initiative started by GLAAD in 2010 to stand up against bullying and show support for LGBTQ youth. According to Sarah Kate Ellis, the president and CEO of GLAAD, LGBTQ youth face higher rates of bullying, which is only made worse by social media's dominating presence in today's society.
To show solidarity and support, Spirit Day participants are encouraged to either wear purple or “go purple” on their online profiles. Each year many celebrities take part in this movement, and this year was no exception. Check out what some of our favorite celebs did for Spirit Day 2017!
