Anyone who's experienced that terrifying moment while flying when the plane suddenly drops due to turbulence knows that being afraid of flying isn't unreasonable — but it sounds like Jennifer Lawrence is actually next-level terrified of stepping foot onto a plane.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly about her latest movie Mother, the actress opened up about how the psychological horror film required her to push the boundaries of her comfort zone, often feeling out of control — and she compared it to a super terrifying experience she had on a plane recently.
"I’ve recently had problems with plane anxiety and it’s really similar," she told Entertainment Weekly. "I’m not afraid of the airplane, I’m afraid of me on the airplane and losing control of myself."
When the reporter agreed that flying freaks her out too, J-Law added, "I tried to jump out of an Air France flight once. I can’t believe I didn't get arrested. I got really claustrophobic and I had to get out."
Hey, I mean everyone has their thing — and it certainly doesn't help that her plane had to make an emergency landing this summer due to an engine failure, so we can't say we blame her. We're just glad she decided to stay inside the plane — otherwise things could have gone *very* differently.
