Since he entered the White House, President Donald Trump has been criticized by multiple news sources for how much time he's spent at different Trump establishments rather than actually in office. Ever wonder why? Well, according to Sports Illustrated, Trump mentioned to some members of one of his golf clubs, "That White House is a real dump."
While a White House spokesperson has denied that Trump ever said this, the comment hasn't gone unnoticed. The writer of the Sports Illustrated article apparently spoke with a variety of people who have golfed with the President over the last few years, so the conversation's specifics, like exactly when he said it and to whom, are unknown, BuzzFeed notes.
While the White House had a bit of a delayed response to this quote getting out, Chelsea Clinton quickly joined in with other Twitter users commenting on Trump's opinion, Teen Vogue shares. However, Chelsea chose to throw shade at Trump in a discreet and classy way.
Thank you to all the White House ushers, butlers, maids, chefs, florists, gardeners, plumbers, engineers & curators for all you do every day https://t.co/rjQS9HeALG

"Thank you to all the White House ushers, butlers, maids, chefs, florists, gardeners, plumbers, engineers & curators for all you do every day," Chelsea tweeted after hearing the President's comment about the "dumpy" White House.
As someone who lived there for eight years when her father was in office, the former First Daughter was quick to use Twitter to applaud all of the hardworking people behind the White House's day-to-day operations. This was definitely a smart move, because White House staff could have easily been offended hearing President Trump call the establishment a "dump." Without ever mentioning the President by name, she certainly made her point clear and made Trump look pretty petty and ungrateful for the place he now calls home.
