The internet practically broke when Netflix released the newest trailer for Season 2 of Stranger Things, the thriller that was an instant hit as soon as the first season dropped last year. The upcoming season's teaser left observant fans eager for answers to a very important question.

Based on the trailer, all the kids are back, including Eleven, and she seems to be sporting the same buzz cut as in Season 1—but lately, we've been seeing actress Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven, growing out her hair. Because of this, fans have been wondering if she had to shave her hair again for Season 2. The trailer made its debut at Comic-Con in San Diego this past weekend, and ever since, people have been buzzing about the buzz cut. Watch it below:

Stranger Things executive producer and director Shawn Levy had an answer, and it’s pretty awesome. In an interview with Marie Claire, Levy said, “We couldn’t be so heartless as to make her shave her head all over again. So because Millie’s hair was longer, and some of Season 2 needed that same buzz cut, we put all of her hair under a wig and then used visual effects to help make it look like a perfect match to the end of Season 1. So a combination of wig and VFX.”

Just when we thought Stranger Things couldn't get any cooler, we now can also appreciate the awesome visual effects that went into Eleven's iconic haircut.

Levy also gave USA Today the inside scoop on what else fans can expect for Season 2 of the hit show, saying Eleven's return will give more insight into her backstory. "She's a full-on character this season…her role is substantial and really satisfying."

I can’t wait to binge out on Season 2, which streams on Netflix October 27!
