Anyone who has ever used Seamless or Postmates (or whatever your lazy-day food delivery service of choice is), knows how insanely convenient it is to get food from your favorite restaurant without even having to put pants on - so imagine how amazing it would be to order delivery during those "uh-oh" moments when you realize you just took you're out of condoms or just took the last birth control pill in your pack.
Hello Giggles reports that startup goPuff is aiming to make contraceptive delivery a reality. In 20 different cities, the company is able to deliver drugstore products, including Plan B and condoms, in under 30 minutes for a delivery fee of only $1.85. They'll deliver as late as 4:30 a.m. (a.k.a. the time when you're most likely to actually need the service), and in some cities they're even open 24/7.
It's basically a major sexual health game-changer: not only is it super convenient, but if you tend to be shy, it eliminates the super awk checkout line experience of buying condoms or a pregnancy test. And it's not just for contraceptives either - you can also order everything from shampoo, to tampons, to ice cream. Bless.
"We hope that by providing the health products and sex positive products women need, women will feel empowered in their daily lives knowing they have consistent access,” goPuff founders Rafael Ilishayev and Yakir Gola tell Hello Giggles. “Having access to sex-positive health products at any time of the day is groundbreaking.”
We couldn't agree more - and at a time when contraceptives could be on the verge of becoming even harder to obtain thanks to the Trump administration, it's refreshing to see someone trying to make birth control access struggle-free.
