Ariel Winter has already made it clear that she's not here for your opinions about her body, or how much of it she chooses to cover with clothes - and that includes those coming from her mother, who the actress was legally emancipated from when she was 17, citing accusations that her mother physically and emotionally abused her.

ICYMI, her mother Chrystal Workman basically publicly shamed her daughter's fashion choices to In Touch, telling the magazine, "She needs to grow up. I would tell her to dress properly, be the beautiful person she is. I feel sad that she feels the need to expose herself when it’s not necessary," she said. "Ariel is smart, beautiful and talented. She is a legitimate actress. She does not need to do this. She is beautiful with her clothes on."

Of course, being Ariel Winter, the Modern Family actress didn't stay silent on the matter. On Thursday, she took to Instagram with a response that explained everything that was wrong with Workman's comments.

"Someone that can do what the fuck ever they want with their body because skirt length does not correlate to how sexually available that person is regardless of how society teaches that we should be ashamed of our bodies," the illustration reads, covering over marks on the back of a woman's leg that read things like "flirty,""slut" and "prude." PREACH GIRL.

Ariel's post is a very important reminder that as grown women, it's our choice whether we rock a maxi dress or a teeny mini skirt - and no, a woman's choice doesn't indicate her sexual availability. End of discussion.
