It's been approx. 93 days since President Obama left 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and the public eye, not that I am counting or anything. After an awesome vacation that included windsurfing and taking pictures of Michelle, Refinery29 reports that it won't be long until he comes back better than ever. In fact, it might be sooner than you think.
E! News and The Chicago Tribune reports that the former POTUS will return with a speaking engagement in his hometown of Chicago this coming Monday. Could it be any more fitting? On Monday evening he will be speaking at the University of Chicago's Logan Center for the Arts about political engagement and community service.
As well, Kevin Lewis, a spokesperson for Obama, said that the lucky audience will include students from local universities and schools around Chicago. In case you are like me and extremely jealous right now of everyone who gets to witness the event, Lewis also adds that the university is planning to televise the entire affair.
Tomorrow can't come soon enough.
