Fear not, Internet. The young Trump supporter who asked for the president to sign his hat did indeed get it back. A video recently went viral seemingly depicting Trump signing a “Make America Great Again” hat at the White House Easter Egg Roll and tossing it into a crowd, instead of to the original owner.

In the video posted by Politico, an audible “No!” is heard from the young man as Trump apparently throws out his hat to the audience of supporters. However, another video from a different angle shows the original owner did in fact catch the hat he momentarily feared would be lost forever, and Trump was only psyching the fan out.
@politico Appears, in another angle, that he threw it back to the teen who handed it to him. https://t.co/LdEGQR7gvq

Naturally the Internet had all sorts of reactions to both videos.
Y'all are making too much of this. Trump doesn't randomly throw the hat into the crowd. He tosses it up, jokingly. The guy says “thank you.” pic.twitter.com/RcDioWwdrB

If this kid was upset about Trump taking his hat he's gonna flip when he finds out about healthcare. https://t.co/X4I0Jod02e

Looks like it was just an attempt at light-heartedness from Trump as the momentous 100-days-in-office milestone approaches.
