Yesterday, the British Phonographic Industry honored the top local and international musicians at the BRIT Awards. Katy Perry has been across the pond this week to promote her new single “Chained to the Rhythm,” so of course she stopped by with another spectacular, politically-driven performance of the song.
While the two giant skeletons dressed as Donald Trump and British Prime Minister Theresa May that joined Katy on stage certainly gave Twitter a lot to talk about, someone else stole the show.
An attendee of the award show caught one of Perry’s dancers—who were all dressed as white houses—missing a step and dancing right off the stage.

Some are loving the mishap so much that they are referring to it as the new Left Shark, which references the infamous backup dancer from Perry’s Super Bowl halftime performance.
The awkwardness actually started earlier in the night for Katy. During an interview with red carpet hosts George Shelley and Lilah Parsons, Perry joked about taking pills to get over her nerves. Then she pretended to "fire" the correspondents when they tried to wrap up the interview.
Just write this off as a teetotally cringe-worthy evening for Katy and Co.
