If the first few weeks of the Donald Trump presidency has been stressing you out, you're not alone. On a recent appearance on Howard Stern's SiriusXM radio show, Lena Dunham explained the reason for her sudden weight loss - and apparently, it's had everything to do with her stress about what's been in the news lately.
"Donald Trump became president and I stopped being able to eat food," she said "Everyone's been asking like, 'What have you been doing?' And I'm like, 'Try soul-crushing pain and devastation and hopelessness and you, too, will lose weight."
While Dunham was clearly half-joking, she later posted an Instagram about what her typical daily eating habits looked like under the Trump presidency, and it's definitely not a diet anyone should be aspiring to considering it involves nothing but green tea, a croissant and dizziness before 1 p.m.
All joking aside, Lena's "Trump diet" is an important reminder of how self-care is more necessary than ever. We're all for staying woke and paying attention to what's going on - but when it starts affecting your mental health or eating habits, it's time to unplug for awhile.
