Are you tired of wearing the same boring pair of shoes? So are we! There comes a time when a blah pair of black flats needs a little spicing up. Thanks to A Pair and a Spare, we've got just the solution. Adding laces is the perfect way to give your flats another life and give a certain charm to any outfit you wear with them. Bonus: seeing as lace up flats are this season's trendiest shoe style, you'll be ahead of the curve all while sticking to your budget.
You will need:
- Pair of flats—preferably with a pointed toe
- Hole punch
- Ribbon or twine that matches the color of your shoes
- Marker, chalk or pen to mark where your holes will go
Step One:
Using your writing utensil, mark where you want the holes to be. We will be putting two holes on each side. Be sure to line up the holes on both shoes.
Step Two:
Use the hole punch to make holes in the spots you marked on both shoes.
Step Three:
Lace your ribbon or twine through the shoe. Keep in mind, it may take a couple tries to figure out how long you want your ribbon to be.
Now you're all set with a (sort of) new pair of shoes!
