Taylor Swift might be receiving her best post-breakup gift yet: she could earn almost $1 million from her collab with ex Calvin Harris, “This Is What You Came For.” Swift didn’t sing on the track but wrote the tune under the name Nils Sjoberg, meaning that some profit goes to her, according to Glamour.
Swift and Harris’s breakup jump-started a crazy period in the T. Swift fandom, as Harris was trying not to look bad for keeping Swift’s involvement in the song under wraps.
Despite their initial bad blood, the two seem to have reached a truce, with Harris tweeting that the two have “a huge amount of love and respect” between them. Of course, there’s some people out there who still expect the worst.
Props to Taylor for getting what she deserves. She didn't necessarily choose between money and a guy, but at least she gets to keep the cash regardless of what happens in her love life.
Since Gilmore Girls: A Year in a Life was released on Netflix last week, fans all over the world have been trying to make sense of the crazy ending. We've seen theories that Rory and Jess actually slept together or that Rory is carrying the baby for Lorelai, but up until now we really haven't seen anything that discusses how crazy everything else that happened is.
Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.
Well, Glamour has brought a fan theory to our attention that runs the gamut. TreeHugBookLove, a Reddit user and clearly a very enthusiastic GG fan, believes that throughout all four episodes, Lorelai is actually in a coma and everything that happens is actually just a dream. Yup. Let that sink in for a second.
If you look back at the revival, many of our favorite characters are exhibiting personality traits that are a bit different from what we remember. For example, our beloved Emily Gilmore is wearing JEANS, and Rory is even having ONE NIGHT STANDS with men dressed in Wookiee costumes. Well, TreeHugBookLove thinks all of this is because, as they explain it, shortly after "Season 7, Lorelai was in a car accident (this is supported by the numerous times her shitty car was mentioned throughout the show, it could have easily broken down while she was driving causing her to hit a tree) and unfortunately ended up in a coma." And it only gets better.
Then, after Lorelai is in the coma, she starts to have some crazy dream-like hallucinations (because of the meds, of course) where she "has a skewed perception of the world, believing that Emily is 100% irrational and Rory is immature and sex-obsessed." And that's not all. Some of the scenes in the revival are not happening IRL but are actually versions of people coming to visit her at the hospital in order to try and help her get better. For example, "Kirk plays his experimental movie, Taylor plays a musical about Stars Hollow to inspire her to return to her hometown, Luke jokingly plays the film Wild because he knows Lorelai was at a turning point in her life and he likes the outdoors." So all of those scenes in the show are actually just what is going on in her head.
And then, to make sense of the final scene, good ol' TreeHugBookLove says that it's actually just Lorelai dying. Morbid, we know. The Reddit user writes that "Rory, being Lorelai's Healthcare Power of Attorney, has decided to give the doctors permission to try a new experimental medication, which ends the coma and Lorelai's life: the manic joyful wedding scene followed by the shocking 'last four words' is her body and mind's reaction to the end, imagining her own legacy."
Welp. Whatever you say, TreeHugBookLove. We applaud your creativity, but we are going to side with RandomRedditGuy_ on this one.
We all know Kaley Cuoco as the star of the hilarious CBS show The Big Bang Theory, as well as movies such as The Wedding Ringer, but she also shines as a role model and style icon for young woman. Whether it is through her support of dog rescues or her equestrian extracurriculars, there is so much to love about Kaley. In honor of the star's 31st birthday, here's a look back at some of her most memorable moments. Happy Birthday, Kaley!
With all the commotion going on regarding the most controversial election in history, aka the one we are all still living through, it is no surprise that people are looking to the First Lady of the United States of America for guidance. I mean, who wouldn't want Michelle Obama to be the first Madame President? Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.
Well, apparently President Obama has heard our cry and has some ~words~ for us that may or may not break our hearts. Ok fine, they will break our hearts. According to Cosmopolitan, in an interview with Rolling Stone, the President was straight up asked if "Michelle should run for office" and unfortunately, his answer was not what we were hoping.
"Michelle will never run for office. She is as talented a person as I know. You can see the incredible resonance she has with the American people. But I joke that she's too sensible to want to be in politics", he said, as a tear rolled down our cheek.
But although there will not be another President Obama just yet, this is not the last you will see of them. When asked what is going to do after Trump takes over, he said that "I'm gonna sleep for a couple of weeks when I get out of here, take my wife on a well-deserved vacation" and then he will "spend time in my first year out of office writing a book, and I'm gonna be organizing my presidential center, which is gonna be focused on precisely this issue of how do we train and empower the next generation of leadership."
And we have no doubt that he is going to do just that.

On Monday, November 28, a plane carrying around 80 passengers crashed near Medellin, Colombia. On the plane were players of a newly famous Brazilian soccer team, The Chapecoense Club, around 20 journalists and various other crew and staff. Of the passengers, 71 have been reported dead, according to USAToday, with only six reported survivors. Rescue efforts are still underway in the area, although it has been slowed due to heavy rain.
Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.At this time, it is still unclear what caused the crash. What we know is that the plane flew from its base, in Bolivia, and began to have difficulty at around 10 PM local time. According to CNN, the plane then flew in a circle and subsequently crashed. Although there was a noticeable lack of fire or signs of any technical issues at the site, it is being reported the plane called out that they were experiencing electrical failure. Sources also say the plane was out of fuel, giving another possible trigger to the crash. Officials have found the black box intact and hope to review the contents.
The soccer players of the Chapecoense club were set to face off in an epic battle of soccer against a top rated Colombian team in the first round of the South American Cup Finals but Instead, they are being mourned all over the world. The team, based in South Brazil, had just recently broken into the top division of Brazilian and South American soccer. Their recent success broke them out of obscurity and made many soccer enthusiasts slate the team as the ones to watch in both South American and International soccer. Their sudden breakthrough is why there was so many media personnel on the plane. All journalists onboard were chronicling the team’s rise to stardom and had packed the plane for their respective news outlets.

Fans Mourn the Loss of Their Team (Photo via Washington Post)
In the wake of the tragedy, fans of the team and the sport took their sadness to Twitter using the hashtag #ForcaChape. In addition to the outpour from fans, the mayor of Medellin asked that all participants of the memorial wear white and come together at the arena on November 30, the day the team was supposed to play. The Brazilian president himself called for a mourning period of three days in wake of the tragedy. Other teams like England’s Liverpool have also posted about the team using the hashtag, and even took a moment of silence during their own match.
The survivors of the crash are currently being treated at Medellin medical centers. There is no update on if there are any more survivors than the ones previously mentioned but officials remain hopeful. This story is still developing.
Although it has been almost a month since Donald Trump was elected the next President of the United States, protesters are not giving up. Now, instead of just protesting Donald Trump, they are protesting his daughter, Ivanka.
The New York Times reports that artists are now marching in front of the Puck building, owned by Ivanka Trump’s husband’s family and where the two reside, in protest of her father’s choices. Over 150 artists, gallery workers, dealers, and curators, some well-known, turned out on Monday night to march in front of where Ivanka is thought to keep notable contemporary art pieces. Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, are both advisers to Donald Trump’s transition team, and the protesters are hoping to convince her to become her father’s voice of reason.Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.
Marilyn Minter, whose work is on view at the Brooklyn Museum, carried a poster containing a “comically profane” reference to Trump’s “grab 'em by the pussy” comment. “We wanted to do something to start to the ball rolling, to grow a protest, and we’re artists, so we know how to make posters,” she said.
In addition to the protest, a group of artists known as the Halt Action Group created an Instagram account called dear_ivanka, which posts photos of Ivanka with captions addressing fears about president-elect Trump’s policies, political corruption, and the racist, sexist, xenophobic views of his supporters. The page’s official site is headlined with, “Ivanka, It’s not okay,” and goes on to state that “racism, anti-Semitism, misogyny, and homophobia are not acceptable anywhere— least of all in the White House. Steve Bannon has no place in the White House. Jeff Sessions has no place in the White House. Talk of a Muslim registry has no place in the White House. Hate has no place in the White House. We refuse to ‘wait and see.’ We look to you as the voice of reason.” The Instagram account uses photos of Ivanka with submitted captions.
A photo posted by Halt Action Group (@dear_ivanka) on
Artist Jonathan Horowitz said the idea of directing the protest to Ivanka came about because, in the art world, she’s known as a progressive figure who seems to care about culture (much more so than her father). Horowitz admitted that people don’t really believe that she’ll become a champion for the things they’re protesting for, or that she’ll even try to stop what they fear from becoming a reality. “But it’s a way to start something, a first action of what we hope is going to become a much bigger movement,” he said. And we can only hope.
When it comes to modeling, there is no one better at it than Gigi Hadid, at least in our minds. I mean seriously, this girl has been on more runways than we can possibly imagine and she only gets better.
Well, luckily for her, the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2016 in Paris is no exception. The biggest fashion event of the year was taped this morning and during one of Hadid's several fantastic looks, one of the straps broke, according to Cosmopolitan. Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.
But because she is Gigi Hadid and she ~slays~ all the time, it didn't even phase her.
Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view. She just continued to walk in those extremely beautiful black boots (which we desperately want) and absolutely crushed it. You go, girl.
The term "late bloomer" sounds a little dirty, but in reality, late bloomers just know how to take their sweet time. Good things come to those who wait…right? Whether you were the last of your friend group to get into college or the last of your sisters to finally hit puberty, being a late bloomer has its ups, its downs and its quirks. Here are 16 things only late bloomers understand.
In a series of not so surprising events, on last night's episode of "The Voice", judge and flower child Miley Cyrus partnered up with her godmother Dolly Parton to sing "Jolene", according to Cosmopolitan, and it was anything but boring. To be fair, Miley Cyrus could sing "Happy Birthday" and we would still listen to it on repeat, but this is seriously good.
With a little help from Pentatonix, the country duo blew us all away and we are SO here for it. Enjoy and repeat because that is exactly what we are doing.
For the Kardashian/West family, 2016 has not been an easy year. But fortunately, things might be looking up.
According to CNN, West checked out of the UCLA Medical Center on Wednesday afternoon after being admitted on November 22 for exhaustion and extreme dehydration. Just as he was by Kim's side after her robbery, Refinery29 reports that throughout his hospital stay, she was by his side the whole time but "didn't bring children North and Saint."
It was just days before he was admitted that Live Nation announced that the rest of the Saint Pablo Tour had been canceled. Although West's reps have yet to release a comment regarding this, Kendall Jenner revealed in an interview with Marie Claire that Kanye is doing okay. "Yes, of course, everyone's okay. Everyone is doing okay, just praying" she said backstage at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show early on Wednesday morning. Now, all we can hope is that he gets well soon so that he can continue is political rants and profound tweets.
At the beginning of the semester, you were so ready to have the best 15 weeks of your freaking life. As the end of the semester approaches though, you find yourself losing motivation to do the things you were so sure you'd finally accomplish. Oh well. Maybe by the time you graduate you'll figure college out.
1. Talking to the cute guy in your history lecture
You told yourself you would be a great student this semester and actually reach out to your professor. But nope—it's almost the end of the semester, and you feel like you're just a random face in the lecture hall.
You started out with a planner, but now you just scribble random notes in it and toss all of your papers into your backpack. Maybe next semester you'll actually figure out how this whole "organizing" thing works.
Who on this planet has time to read for fun? Especially at the end of the semester, you don't even have time for assigned reading, yet alone books you actually want to read.
You thought you'd be able to save your money this semester. Now, it's the end of the semester, and you're using change to pay for the food you ordered.
15. Staying in touch with people who don't make any effort
If someone doesn't seem to care about hanging out with you, you're not going to go out of your way to spend time with them. They're not the only person who's busy, obviously.
You've been waiting forever for the person you *obviously* like to make a move. Still nothing. You haven't made a move either, and he's graduating soon. Okay. It's fine.
You've spent so much of this semester acting like you have everything together, but you're tired of pretending. You're stressed and overwhelmed, and it's okay to admit that.
2016 will forever go down in history as the year that Kylie Jenner made women around the world broke AF. First, it was her birthday surprise, then her Khloe Kollaboration, and now her holiday collection. My wallet is literally crying.
After the incredible success of her holiday collection that was released last week, Kylie has just announced on her Instagram that there are even more products coming to her website starting tomorrow, December 1st. She posted on Instagram that "Tomorrow at 1pm pst I am launching my 12 Days of Christmas online event with a new surprise every day" and she is starting with a bang.
A photo posted by Kylie Cosmetics (@kyliecosmetics) on
The first surprise is a Kylie Lipstick Vault that includes "all of your favorites from the last year in one set: Maliboo, Posie K, Kristen, 22, Mary Jo, Kourt K, Exposed, Dolce K, Candy K, Koko K, Ginger and True Brown K" all for just $120. And since you are getting 12 full-size lipsticks, it's basically like $10 each. Which in relation to her typical prices, is a score.
If this is just her first surprise we can't even imagine what she is going to release in the next 12 days... Saying goodbye to all my money now.
Admit it. Once you start getting attention from a cute guy, you immediately start wondering if he’s into you or just being sweet. Sometimes it can be ridiculously hard to determine if he’s actually on the same page as you or keeping you deep in the friend zone. Plus, it doesn’t help that most guys aren’t like Ryan Gosling in The Notebook and hang from ferris wheels just to get a date. Then again, that might be a little extreme, but still, in most situations it seems like you either wait forever to make a move or it just fizzles out.
Well, we’re here to make the guessing games a little easier in the future with some tips from some fellow students and three love-life experts. With advice from Dr. Ish Major, psychiatrist, author and host of WeTV's Marriage Boot Camp Reality Stars, Jasbina Ahluwalia, relationship expert, matchmaker/dating coach, radio show host and founder of Intersections Match, a matchmaking firm, and Dr. Carole Lieberman, Beverly Hills psychiatrist, you’ll be sure to find all the answers to this age-old question. So read on to find out if he’s feelin’ it or just not that into you.
As much as we love texting, it’s also so easy to hate it. Deciding on how long to reply, what to say and “to emoji or not to emoji” are very real issues. First and foremost though, you need to decipher his texts and understand what he’s trying to get out of this modern day form of communication.
If he texts you first a lot, that’s a pretty good sign. Evan Clark, a junior at the University of South Carolina, says that “if you text each other or hangout, it can't always be the girl initiating. He should text you first or be thoughtful.”
This doesn’t mean that he always has to be the one initiating conversation; you should definitely feel free to text first on occasion. But if he shows initiative in texting you and trying to talk, then that definitely shows interest. WARNING: 3 a.m. texts might mean he’s interested, but that doesn’t mean he’s ready to date..
Dr. Major warns that those late-night texts should be taken with a grain of salt. “The trick ladies, is to not let your heart hide what your eyes can clearly see,” he says. “Just because you want it to be…doesn’t make it so. Look for: random texts centered around hook up days and/or specific times. Like the 11 p.m. text that reads: ‘Wyd?’ Translation: ‘Are you available to come over for a last minute hook up?’ If you’re cool with that then go for it. Just understand that will be what it is and expecting more may just disappoint you if you’re looking for something more long term."
Dr. Lieberman says that even the dumb texts he sends can be a good sign. “If he texts you for no special reason or for reasons that are lame, he’s looking for ways to connect,” she tells us. “If he texts you repeatedly before you’ve answered his text, he’s feeling anxious that you don’t like him.”
So yes, even those random texts asking about class can just be an excuse for him to talk to you. But don’t confuse that with him just asking for the answers to the homework. According to Dr. Major, his texts should be spontaneous and happen during varying times of day. Overall, there should be some consistency, if he texts you once a month, that’s probably a red flag.
2. Body language
This is a huge telltale sign, because it’s a way of telling you how he feels without actually saying anything. The only problem is that half the time you end up over-reading all the little things. So when he walks by you and brushes your arm, you immediately think he was sending you a sign, when in reality he might literally just be walking by.
Dr. Major says there are some key signs to look out for. “80+ percent of how we communicate is through body language. He’ll be open to you, facing you directly or naturally in close proximity. Direct eye contact, but not creepy eye contact. He’ll smile and not look bored (because he’s not; he’s excited to be there with you) and he’ll actually nod and lean in while you’re talking (because he’s actually listening to what you have to say and not simply politely waiting to respond). You’ll notice he takes every opportunity to literally reach out and touch you; your (arm, hand, hair etc.) just in casual conversations. He will literally try to ‘connect’ with you.”
Pay attention to his actions, they might be the most telling sign. If anything, the attention and time he spends around you are key for determining his level of interest.
This can be tricky to decipher because in social situations, the whole point is to be social. That means he can’t always be around you showing 100 percent of his attention, making it slightly more difficult to see if he’s just being a friend or is interested. So look out for two things: how much attention he shows and how he acts when he’s around you.
However, Dr. Lieberman says, “One big clue that he’s not interested is when you’re in social situations and he keeps looking up at every pretty girl who goes by, or if he’s making an effort to let others know that he’s not really with you in a romantic sense.”
Obviously he will have other friends that he wants to hang out with—and yes, they might be girls—but if it seems like he’s completely distracted, then he might just be appeasing you.
4. Conversation
This is one of the most important social signs to pay attention to because it can determine how serious someone is about you. If most of your conversations revolve around what you did last night, then it might just be casual conversation. But if you find yourself having in-depth, meaningful conversations, then you might be on the right track.
Sarah Westbrook, a junior at the University of South Carolina, says that interesting conversation is how she knows it’s more than a placation. “When a guy is asking me personal questions or shows an interest in what I'm thinking about, how I'm doing that day, or just my life in general, it shows that there's more to it than him just being nice,” she says.
According to Dr. Lieberman, that is good advice. “A guy who is interested in you will want to talk about you, not just himself,” she says. “He’ll ask you questions and then follow up on topics that seem to interest you. For example, he’ll ask you to tell him about your major and why you chose it, your favorite music artists and what you like about them, and your opinions about things in the news. He wants to get to know you.”
It’s also important to see how he acts during these conversations too, because not all guys are conversational, but there’s a difference between being shy and not into it. Sarah Madaus, a sophomore at Temple University, says, “If he seems disinterested in your conversations, or even when he asks you a questions, he’s probably just trying to be nice.”
Dr. Major also reminds that conversations shouldn’t be too superficial “The more he gets to know you the harder it’ll be to drop you so if he’s planning on doing that soon he won’t want to know much about the real you,” he tells us. "No guy likes being the guy who treated a nice girl poorly. But a girl he barely even knew…that makes it easy. So ladies, don’t make it easy for him. If he’s going to be around you, force him to get to know you.”
In general, it should be a two-way conversation. Yes, it might feel slightly awkward—come on, when aren’t first convos awkward—but it should also be engaging and interesting.
5. Red Flags
If all else fails, Ahluwalia says to use the acronym PICCK, which stands for Prioritize, Integrate, Consistent, Cares, and Keep, to see if the interest it there.
She defines it like this:
‘P’ stands for prioritize, as in, does he or she prioritize you?
‘I’ stands for Integrates, as in, does he or she integrate you into other areas of his or her life?
‘C’ stands for Consistent, as in, is he or she consistent in both words and actions?
‘C’ stands for Cares, as in, does he or she care to know your thoughts, opinions and feelings?
‘K’ stands for Keep, as in, does he or she keep you in mind in both the present AND for the future?
Dr. Major also has some advice that might actually contradict what you thought you knew about reading a guy. He says that if “he [doesn't] talk about himself much. Serious red flag! Guys love, love, love to brag about themselves. Especially to the lady who’s heart they’re trying to win! If he’s not talking himself up in your presence, straight up boasting or even bashfully so, he’s not trying very hard to win you over.”
So although you might associate bragging with douchey-ness, it actually is a way for him to impress you. After all, he better be impressive if he’s going to win you over.
Figuring out whether a guy is just being nice or actually into you isn’t always easy, but Dr. Major reminds us that “ultimately ladies, it’s up to you to set the expectations immediately and openly for your relationship. Tell him exactly what you want. If he’s the guy for you then he’ll follow suit and step up to the task. Any effort less than that is just that, less than, and not what you want. Say the most magic word in dating, ‘next,’ and move on." With these tips, you’ll be able to decode even the most confusing messages.

Monica and Chandler are basically the definition of #relationshipgoals. Take a stroll down memory lane at all of the moments that made them one of the best couples on TV:
1. We knew WAY ahead of time they would end up together (we’re talking season 1)
Even though they’re fresh off a breakup, Bella Hadid and The Weeknd showed the ultimate dedication to their jobs by appearing together at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Paris. The Weeknd returned for his second performance at the show while Bella made her first appearance on the runway, Cosmopolitan reports. Photos of the two together hint that, even after their split, there's definitely still some love between them.
The Weeknd was belting out his hit “Starboy” when Bella hit the catwalk in prime Victoria’s Secret Angel lingerie. Although she shot him a smile when she first saw him, Bella also stayed completely professional as she walked even closer to him.
According to People, the couple of more than a year split because of their schedules and the craziness of promoting his new album. A source commented about the two, “They still have a great deal of love for one another and will remain friends.”
If you still think this was a case of true love and want to mourn the loss like it was your own, there’s video of the two’s encounter on the runway. Can you say heartbreaking?
Okay, 2016 may not have been the best year for politics—but is it really worth dumping democracy over? New research shows that younger people are so disengaged from democracy that they’d be willing to try other methods, including government by military coup, according to Quartz. The study, by Harvard University’s Yashcha Mounk and the University of Melbourne’s Roberto Stefan Foa, found that people who live in “stable liberal democracies” have become cynical about the government, and that young people are the most cynical of all.
I would like to address my fellow millennials. *ahem* when the military picks the president once, they don't like to stop
With data covering generations in North America, Western Europe, Australia, and New Zealand in Janaury, Mounk and Foa found that political habits have caused young people to lose hope in their ability to “influence public policy.” According to a study completed in July 2016, millennials are less inclined to support freedom of speech than their older relatives were, creating what the researchers call a “crisis of democratic legitimacy.” Basically, younger people don't feel like they have any say in their government, to the point where they don't even participate in the political process.
Some of the eye-opening statistics include that only about a third of American millennials find civil rights necessary in democracy and that, as of 2010, only 41 percent of millennials are interested in politics. Compared to 16 percent of American youth in 1995, a quarter of millennials in 2011 believed that democracy was a “bad” political system to follow.
A possible reason for this lack of faith in the government could be that millennials grew up in pretty stable democracies, and don't realize what it could be like to live under a different political system. While it’s unclear how well the stats align with the truth, it’s fair to point out that, while more millennials voted for Hillary Clinton in the presidential election, not enough millennials on the Democratic side voted at all for her to win, according to Bloomberg.
This alarming research proves that now is not the time to become inactive about politics. Do as much as you can to learn about your political system and find out how you can help!
Ever since we finished Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, we’ve been looking for answers. But creator Amy Sherman-Palladino has been silent on all fronts. Now, in an exclusive interview with TVLine, she’s finally answering our burning questions, though she’s not yet ready to reveal all the Gilmores’ secrets.
Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.
Here are four key takeaways every GG fan needs to know:
1. That cliffhanger wasn’t intentional.
Sherman-Palladino insists that even though the final four words leave viewers wanting more, this isn’t because she wanted to end the series on a cliffhanger. “The thing about these women is their lives keep going. And keep changing…That’s more real than if all three of them had lovely endings and we tied it up with a bow and everyone went home with a unicorn.”
2. Another revival is not in the works.
When asked what it would take to make another revival happen, AS-P was clear: “No one is talking about that right now…It’s been very intense. So we’re stepping back now.”
3. But never say never.
She added that she’s not ruling out another revival because “I don’t rule anything in my life out.”
4. She knows who the father of Rory’s baby is, but she’s still not telling.
The show’s creator was worried fans spent too much time focusing on Rory’s love life and which team would come out on top in the revival. The decision to not reveal the father of Rory’s baby, though AS-P feels it’s fairly obvious, was deliberate. “I’m not being cryptic. I just want to keep the focus on what the story point is. It’s not about the boy. It’s about her.”
There are SO many other spoiler-y goodies in this interview, including answers to all your burning questions. Why introduce us to Mr. Kim after all this time? Who sent Emily that letter? How did Rory afford all those flights? And much, much more.
