The 2018 Pirelli Calendar Will Feature an All-Black Cast

For the first time in 20 years, the Pirelli Calendar is releasing beautiful black magic straight out of Wonderland. While the Pirelli Calendar has been known for its gorgeous top models, only recently did it start to be more inclusive and offer honest representation. In 2016, the theme of the Pirelli Calendar was feminism (remember the nude of Amy Schumer that left the world shook?), and in 2017, all the photos were unretouched. It's kept getting better and better, so we know 2018 will be the best year yet.

According to Bustle, the 2018 theme is "Alice in Wonderland," and photographer Tim Walker wanted an all-black cast for the edition. RuPaul, Lupita Nyong'o, Whoopi Golberg, Zoe Bedeaux and Sean "Diddy" Combs make up just a few of the cast members, each one as an iconic Wonderland character.

Combs told The New York Times that the calendar comes at a time where we need “an unapologetic expression of black pride.” He continued by saying that, “It is a chance to push social consciousness and break down barriers. For so many years, something like this would not have happened in the fashion world, so it feels like being part of history and playing an active role. I want to lead by example.”

This 2018 Pirelli Calendar is a movement, and I am here for it. Take a look at these incredible photos:

This calendar is amazing and I cannot hide my excitement!

The beauty community has seen its fair share of wild new makeup applicators this year. Remember the infamous silisponge, or its glittery cousin, the Evie blender? This month, Smashbox is looking to enter the applicator arena by launching their new Photo Filter Gel Cushion Applicator. Applying liquid or cream products with fingers can give the face an airbrushed finish when done properly, but often results in your hands and fingers becoming an unsanitary mess. With Smashbox's new applicator, you can get the same effect without the hassle and cleanup. The applicator's ridged texture allows it to mimic a finger, while its diamond shape helps give you an even coverage in every nook and cranny of your face.

Once you've finished your #look, you can easily clean this applicator with warm, soapy water - definitely a lot easier to care for than sponge applicators. If you're looking to up your makeup game, you can get your hands on the Photo Filter Gel Cushion Applicator for $20 at Smashbox

Peter Is Justified in Not Wanting to Propose at the End of 'The Bachelorette'

Believe it or not, there are only two weeks left of Rachel Lindsay’s season of The Bachelorette, and I’ve been patiently awaiting (what I assumed would be) her happily ever after with Peter Kraus. However, this week’s episode put an even greater spotlight on Peter’s ongoing reservations about getting engaged so quickly. While part of me has a theory about producers egging on his self-doubt, the other half saw a seriousness behind his fears that I admittedly glossed over throughout the season. After all, if your guy had a face like Peter’s, would your biggest concern be his slow play?

Before meeting Rachel’s family, Peter confessed to her that he was falling in love with her, which, as Rachel pointed out, is a huge deal for him to say. He’s in his early thirties, so he’s definitely been around the block and has learned not to toss around feelings that are meant to be a big deal—even if that’s what a TV show is nudging him to do. But remember Peter’s explanation for telling Rachel this: “I want you to have confidence in us and in me.” Like the Prince Charming he is, he wanted to build her up before he met the fam. Does that strike you as someone trying to avoid commitment?

So with his reserved and unsure edit in place, Peter later spoke to Rachel’s mom about his uncertainties. Our fave guy was straightforward and admitted that even though he may not be ready to propose, he wanted a relationship with Rachel. Mentioned countless times before, Peter believes in a marriage proposal signifying being together forever, and he didn’t want to lessen that idea by asking for the parents’ blessing when he may not propose.

Sign me up for Rachel’s mom’s fan club because Kathy Lindsay seemed blown away by Peter’s honesty. I’d put money on Mama Lindsay loving him for getting that it isn’t natural to want to propose to someone so quickly. The last guy of Rachel’s she met was Nick Viall, who has relied on Bachelor Nation a little too much for love. Peter must be a welcome breath of reality that totally restores Kathy’s faith in Rachel’s Bachelorette role.

Maybe he has an old soul’s maturity or is intimidated by the enormity of the show, but Peter is totally justified in not wanting to propose in the show’s finale. First and foremost, The Bachelorette is entertainment, but in the end, don’t we turn to TV to see true representations of ourselves and people we know in daily life? It’s normal to be scared about a fast-moving relationship and take your time getting to know your partner. Peter's definition of proposing is totally normal in the real world, but it's being treated as a huge deal-breaker in the context of the show. This is practically ancient history, but among the first 10 seasons of The Bachelor, six men chose to date their final picks over proposing to them. Funnily enough, there has always been a proposal on Bachelorette finales, but couples' success rates have varied. With this franchise, a guy getting down on one knee isn't a sign that a couple is meant to be, but Peter's determined to save that moment for an old-fashioned, once-in-a-lifetime proposal.

As someone who's never been involved in the world of reality TV (…yet), I admire Peter for being so true to himself and presenting a unique viewpoint for this show, and I’m not the only one.

He’s not a commitment-phobe (he picked out baby clothes!) but likely someone who’s terrified of the media attention these couples receive and how, more often than not, that attention contributes to a very public breakup. While I definitely feel less confident about Peter’s chances of winning Rachel’s heart, I don’t admire him any less. If anything, Rachel needs to distance herself from the unofficial rule that there has to be an engagement at the end of the season. Peter is a dose of normalcy (and, tbh, pure hotness) that this show could use more of in the future.

Should You Stay With Your BF When You Study Abroad? (& How to Make it Work)

You’ve researched countless destinations and programs, discussed the pros and cons, gotten parental and advisor approval and are finally all set to study abroad—woo-hoo! The only question left now is what you’ll do about that boyfriend who won’t exactly fit in your suitcase. We’ve got you covered with tips on how to decide whether or not you want to keep things going with your guy, as well as advice on how to make it work when you spend time abroad if you do decide to stay together.

Before You Go

Have the DTR (Define The Relationship) talk early

Once you have your study abroad plans set, settle on a time to sit down with your boyfriend and talk about whether or not the two of you want to make a long distance-relationship work. Megan*, a senior from the College of William & Mary, recently spent a semester in Paris away from her boyfriend. “With the date of my study abroad departure looming, [my boyfriend and I] were both a little afraid to bring up the conversation of the future,” she says.

Fear aside, waiting until your last night together to figure out what the two of you will do when you’re abroad? Probably not the smartest move.

“We started talking about it as soon as we both realized we were both going to go abroad to different places,” says Brooke, a rising senior from Northeastern University, who is getting ready to study abroad in Spain. “This was maybe five to six months before going abroad. It's important not to wait too long because it will just make things more difficult.”

Cover all the bases

Not sure what to talk about? Dr. D Ivan Young, a relationship coach, provides several suggestions for collegiettes getting ready to leave their boyfriends and study abroad. “You definitely need to have a discussion about ground rules,” he says. “Otherwise, don’t be surprised when someone does something that surprises you.” Bring up various changes and expectations you have concerning study abroad, and how you feel those will affect your relationship.

Discuss what’s going well that would make maintaining a relationship abroad worth the extra effort, as well as what could be challenging or worrisome during your time away from campus. If you’re already on solid ground, this may be an easy conversation.

“We both pretty much assumed we would be staying together and then we briefly talked about it to make sure we were on the same page,” Brooke explains. “The only factor we really weighed was whether or not we saw ourselves together after we went abroad. The answer for both of us was yes.”

How much or how little you’re willing to keep in touch with each other could make the decision on whether or not you want to stay together (or stay exclusive) easier as well. “You also have to be thinking about what you want from your trip, regardless of what you want from your relationship,” says Elizabeth, a recent graduate of the College of William & Mary who has left boyfriends back home during several trips abroad. “If you plan to immerse yourself in this new place and be constantly on the move, it might not be fair to ask someone to stay in a relationship with you, unless you really are going to commit to writing/emailing/texting/Skyping on a regular basis.”

Regardless of how easy or difficult the conversation will be, it’s an important one to have. Be open and honest to make sure the final decision you and your boyfriend reach is one that’s truly right for you and your relationship. Be sure the decision reflects what’s realistic for the both of you; being honest from the start could pay off majorly in the end.

“Of all my friends or the couples I know who went through a semester abroad this past spring, we were the only ones that made it to the end, and I think it had a lot to do with that understanding from the beginning,” Megan says.

Be clear: are you broken up, on a break or in a committed relationship?

As dedicated as you are to your boyfriend, a semester or year abroad is a long time (and let’s face it—those foreign guys and their accents are just so adorable). Circumstances change, making a break from the relationship appealing for some couples. “I was going away for a year, and we didn't want to hold each other back from experiencing anything––myself in Europe, him in college,” says Jill*, a junior at Skidmore College who recently studied abroad in Paris and decided to take the time away from her boyfriend to reassess their relationship.

If cracks are starting to show when discussing your expectations or you’re having a hard time agreeing on relationship terms, a break might be best. It's not wise to commit to a full-blown long-distance relationship unless you feel you're already a strong couple and you're willing to devote considerable time and attention to keeping up that communication.

“I broke up with someone before spending an entire semester abroad because I wasn't willing to do the work to maintain that relationship for such an extended period of time,” Elizabeth says. “Interestingly, that moment before I left ended up being the perfect time to really do an evaluation of the relationship–I realized I wasn't getting what I wanted anyway, and it became an opportunity to make a clean break.”

That being said, a relationship abroad can definitely work out for the better as well despite the distance. “After a few weeks, it was clear to both of us that we didn't want to be with other people, but giving ourselves space to figure that out was probably why it worked,” Jill says. Be sure to discuss your expectations for your relationship—whether you can see other people or not, the reasons for making whatever decision you come to, how open you’ll be with one another while abroad, how often you’ll communicate and with what means—and make sure you come to an agreement to make the most of your long-distance time together.

While You’re Abroad

Stay accountable to the ground rules you decide on

Be sure both of you know why you’re together and what the expectations associated with staying together are. The two of you should be committed to staying together for similar reasons, and should both be comfortable with the justifications for your decision. If one of you really wants to try and make it work while the other one isn’t too into it, problems might not be too far down the road.

“We're willing to go through a period of separation in the interest of our ‘end goal,’” says Alicia, a senior at Penn State who’s studying abroad in Spain. “We're willing to be apart for a while so we can be together in the long run… We trust each other, are honest and are willing to deal with a little distance so that eventually we can be together again afterwards.”

Trust is key in making a long-distance overseas relationship work. Dr. Young says that with young adults in particular, it’s hard to go for more than six weeks without being tempted to cheat. To avoid tears and heartbreak down the road, be absolutely 100 percent sure the both of you fully trust one another to ensure your relationship remains strong.

“Naturally there's a part of me that's scared he's going to find a tall, blonde beer wench with pigtail braids, but that's the part of me I work hard to ignore because I know I can trust him,” says Alicia. “If I didn't trust him so much, there's no way I'd be comfortable being abroad in separate places.”

Strike a balance between exploring and keeping in touch

As important as trust is when it comes to making a relationship work despite distance, it’s also important that both of you allow time to explore your new home away from home and experience new things.

“Since we'll both be abroad in different places, we realize the importance of making new friends for each of us,” says Brooke. “Additionally, we realize going abroad is pretty much a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we both want to enjoy it to the fullest extent.”

Regardless of your relationship status, don’t spend all your time keeping in contact with your BF. “The number one thing to avoid: Skyping him 24/7!” says Jill. “One girl on my program barely left her homestay because she would Skype her boyfriend every night, and when they broke up near the end of the semester, she was really upset that she hadn't spent more time experiencing the city and getting to know people.”

Deciding how much you’ll communicate with one another (whether it’s Skype, email, or whatever else you can think of using!) will have to be a decision the two of you make based on how much you’re used to talking and how much time both of your schedules will allow. This is especially true if you have to factor in a significant time difference. Moral of the story? If you’ve decided to make a relationship work in some shape or form, agree on a couple shared goals for how much the two of you stay in touch with each other. However, “be sure to send little reminders you exist so it won’t be out of sight, out of mind,” says Dr. Young.

Consider visiting each other

For collegiettes absolutely determined to make a relationship work, Dr. Young encourages couples to do everything possible to make at least one in-person visit while abroad. He describes the experience of sharing your time abroad with a BF as a “very romantic adventure” that can help develop a “sense of excitement” in the relationship through experiencing new sights, sounds and activities together as a couple.

When You Come Back Home

Recognize that studying abroad changes you

Studying abroad is a life-changing experience that will no doubt affect you and your relationship in ways you won’t be able to predict before you depart. “Don’t expect [the person abroad] to come back the same, because they won’t be,” Dr. Young says. “For most people, enlightenment as a result of studying abroad changes them. You’re coming back with new appreciations in play.”

Jill suggests reuniting with your boyfriend (or ex, depending on what happened during time abroad) regardless of where your relationship stands. “It might be good to decide that you'll meet up once you're home again no matter what--whether you've stayed close or drifted apart,” she says. “That way, even if it seems like things are headed south, you have a chance to remind yourselves what was so worth waiting for in the first place and then decide if you still want to work at it.”

Once you touch down back home, have another honest conversation with your partner and reassess where your relationship stands and what you mean to one another. Be open to the fact that both of you may have changed after being abroad.

Obviously there’s no easy answer on how to navigate relationships when you are abroad. Be genuine, sincere and caring, and you’ll no doubt reach a smart, (hopefully) satisfactory decision about what to do about your relationship that will allow for an amazing adventure abroad, regardless of what you and your boyfriend decide!

I Tried the Famous Korean 10-Step Skincare Routine, & Here’s What Happened

I’m a firm believer that if you treat your skin right, it’ll hate you just a little less. In pursuit of that, I’ve tried a myriad of lotions, potions, creams and serums, and set aside a little more time each day to give my face the attention I know it deserves.

Once I saw those cute little diagrams and infographics floating around Pinterest proclaiming the wondrous magic of the South Korean 10-step skincare routine, something clicked.

No wonder Taeyeon and Park Hye-Min have such beautiful skin when they follow a complete and thorough regimen. I had to try it! In the months since, I’ve scoured the web for the most popular K products to incorporate into my routine, but for a while, I never actually managed to follow the whole 10-step process in its entirety. This week, I decided to buckle down and get serious about K-beauty. For help and guidance along the way, I consulted one of my favorite books, The Little Book of Skin Care by Charlotte Cho. It’s basically the ultimate guide to Korean skin care and then some.

Here's an (almost) complete look at my regimen, along with a before picture of how much Mario Badescu Drying Lotion I needed to cover my spots the night before I started.

Day 1

My first day following the complete regimen went pretty well! I'm used to my skin care routine not taking very long, but I was surprised at how little extra time adding a few new steps took. Going to bed, my skin felt super bouncy and soft to the touch. Off to a great start, it seems!

Day 2

I noticed a few new small bumps on my forehead, but nothing major. Despite that, my skin seems brighter and more elastic, especially after using my exfoliating peel. While putting my face on for the day, I noticed my liquid foundation blended into my skin a bit easier.

Day 3

Time for a mask! Today I tried the Seaweed Oil Balancing Clay Mask from The Body Shop. I loved how tingly it felt as it dried, and my pores looked a lot tighter once I washed everything off.

Day 4

This morning my skin felt a bit on the dry side, so I applied my moisturizer twice. Other than that, my skin still feels and looks better.

Day 5

I'm getting a little tired of putting on sunscreen every day. I've always disliked the way it felt, but I gotta do it!

Day 6

Today I did a bad, bad thing...I fell asleep with my makeup on. Needless to say, I woke up from my nap with half a dozen little whiteheads dotting my chin and nose. Once I took care of them with my extractor tool, my skin looked almost back to normal, albeit a bit redder. Never again!

Day 7

To try and salvage the glow I've been working on all week, I decided to try a sheet mask. This one by Tony Moly uses rice as its active ingredient, which provides hydration and essential nutrients to the skin. Although it was v messy and I could've scared anybody by walking out my front door, it actually worked like crazy. This is the best my skin has looked all week - I feel like I'm actually glowing.

Final Thoughts

Let me just say, the 10-step routine takes way less time than I imagined. After timing myself every day, the average time came out to only 5:29. Talk about quick. Here's a look at my skin after seven days on my new regimen.

Although I do still have some redness and a nose full of blackheads (which you can't see here), I know this routine has helped my skin a ton. I definitely plan to continue onward, and hopefully after a while even my most stubborn skin issues will be taken care of.

Trying to curate your own 10-step routine? SokoGlam (created by Charlotte Cho as well!) has everything you need to get started. Good luck!

Baths are great. Baths with bath bombs are even better. And now, Lush has concocted a special treat for all you Potterheads out there. Meet the Dark Arts jelly bomb. You read right: jelly bomb. According to Lush, this orange and cinnamon scented creation "release[s] a spectacular jelly made from sodium alginate, which comes from a mineral-rich seaweed," giving the surface of the water a delightful, gelatinous feel. You probably won't be able to stop taking pictures of your tub because once its granite exterior melts away, the Dark Arts bath bomb becomes a witch's cauldron of glittery pink and black. You'll basically be ready to head to the Yule Ball after soaking up these suds.

Unfortunately, as of right now, the Dark Arts bath bombs are officially out of stock. Knowing Lush though, I'm sure with a wave of a wand (and maybe a couple of weeks), these wickedly cute goodies will be back!

'Riverdale' Costars Cole Sprouse & Lili Reinhart Are Reportedly Dating, & Fans Are Going Crazy

Riverdale actors Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart may be each other's love interests on the show and IRL. The pair, who play beloved couple Bughead—better known as Betty Cooper and Jughead—were seen at Entertainment Weekly's Comic-Con party "canoodling, holding hands and kissing," People reports. According to Cosmopolitan, Lili was also spotted wearing Cole's maroon blazer over her dress the same night.

Fans have been shipping the on-screen couple for months, especially after Sprouse posted pictures of Reinhart on his Instagram. It's no surprise that the publicly lowkey stars are keeping any comments on their possible relationship to themselves. And based on an earlier ELLE interview with Cole, it doesn't seem like we're going to be getting answers anytime soon.

In the April interview, Sprouse said, "I think the shipping wars and communities have taken to realize relations as well when it comes to bromance or romance, as it's been called for KJ and I, and then Lili and I. I think people are getting invested into us and the characters and they really want to know the relationships of the people in real life."

He went on to say, "I am one of those guys that's never ever going to talk about my private life with the public sphere. I mean people can talk about Jughead all they want but when it comes to my personal relationships, I have spent much of my life separating work and play so I will continue to do so."

Nonetheless, a number of Bughead supporters on Twitter are totally into Cole and Lily (nicknamed Sprousehart) being in a relationship beyond the set of Riverdale.

In this tweet, if you scroll back and forth between the two pictures, you can see the way Cole and Lily look at each other, and it's TOO cute.

Sprousehart may or may not be real, but for now, I definitely ship them. They're adorable!

President Trump's Boy Scout Speech Turned Into an Inappropriate Rant

$

The Boy Scouts guide members to be prepared and help their community. They're seen as wholesome do-gooders in the community, and on Monday, President Donald Trump had the opportunity to speak to the young scouts and impart his wisdom. So what did he say to these eager kids? A whole lot about health care and New York cocktail parties. Needless to say, Trump's speech turned into an unfocused rant and left us all really confused.

The Boy Scouts of America is one of the largest youth organizations in America with more than 2.4 million youth participants. Since 1937, they've held a National Scout Jamboree, which is an outdoors camp in West Virginia, about every four years. An integral part of this tradition is a speech from the president.

For Trump's speech on Monday at the jamboree, people came from 50 states and 60 nations, according to the Charleston Gazette-Mail. There were approximately 40,000 Scouts, a pretty monumental size, though a little less than Trump predicted at 45,000. Then again, he’s not the best judge of crowd sizes.

CNN reports that Trump began by saying, "Who the hell wants to speak about politics when I'm in front of the Boy Scouts?"

Yet, Trump went on to do just that. While he occasionally offered advice to the Scouts, his 35-minute speech jumped around. He ended up talking about the economy, firing a member of his cabinet, Washington (“I see the swamp and it’s not a good place”), his relationship with the press, his attempts to repeal Obamacare ("By the way, you going to get the votes? He better get them. He better get them. Oh, he better. Otherwise, I'll say: Tom [Price] you're fired.”), a strange story about William Levitt (the father of American suburbia) that was meant to provide life advice, his feelings about the Electoral College and of course, making America great again.

This is significant, inappropriate and confusing because it broke with about 80 years of tradition. The past eight Presidents and representatives who spoke at the jamboree stayed far away from discussing politics at such a moral and patriotic event, according to The Washington Post. It's meant to celebrate service and common ideals, not be used as a political platform.

According to The Hill, the speech also featured boos against former President Barack Obama for not attending a Jamboree in person. Trump’s statements about the “fake media” received both boos and cheers, according to BBC.

Trump also offered some solid advice. “When you do something that you love – remember this – it’s not work,” he said. “When you’re not doing something that you like, that’s called work. And it’s hard work and it's tedious work.”

The reactions on social media for #BoyScoutSpeech were mixed. Some praised the President…

...and others compared him to Hitler

...and others wondered why Trump spoke at the Jamboree at all.

“The Boy Scouts of America is wholly non-partisan and does not promote any one position, product, service, political candidate or philosophy,” the Boy Scouts said in a statement on Monday. “The invitation for the sitting U.S. President to visit the National Jamboree is a long-standing tradition and is in no way an endorsement of any political party or specific policies.”

That is a true statement, but it’s interesting to consider that Trump was not a member of the Boy Scouts, whereas former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton were. Obama was reportedly a member of the Indonesian Scout Association.

While the Twitter comments only reflect the growing polarization of our country, Boy Scouts are supposed to promote unity and compassion. Their role models should certainly be doing the same.

Justin Bieber Has Canceled the Rest of His Purpose World Tour, Saying He Needs to Rest & Relax

It’s no secret Beliebers are some of the most dedicated fans out there, sticking up for Justin Bieber no matter what ups or downs he's going through. But after he canceled his Purpose World Tour, will they be able to support him?

In a TMZ video, Justin said he's been “touring for two years” and although everything is fine, he's looking forward to “resting, getting some relaxation” and riding bikes with his friends. Honestly, I can’t really blame him for wanting some downtime; the Purpose Tour started in March 2016, and it's now been more than a year of nonstop performances. I would be exhausted, too.

When asked if he had a message for his fans, Bieber replied, "I think you guys are awesome. Sorry for anybody who feels disappointed or betrayed. It’s not in my heart or anything. And have a blessed day." Maybe not as in-depth an explanation as fans wanted, but it seems genuine enough.

Justin's manager Scooter Braun also apologized to fans who won't get to see the pop star perform. "And to those that won't be able to see it... on behalf of myself, Justin, and the team, we are sorry," he wrote. "That was never our intent. But a man's soul and well being I truly care about came first and We must all respect and honor that."

An incredible run. Congrats to @justinbieber on an incredible tour and thank you to the entire cast and crew for your unending support. Chris and Nick thank you. AEG thank you. Caa thank you. UMG thank you. @sb_projects Team thank you. To the promoters who believed around the world thank you. To the fans from all over the world who took part over the last 16 months over 6 continents thank you. To Justin who gave it his all night after night thank you. And to those that won't be able to see it... on behalf of myself, Justin, and the team, we are sorry. That was never our intent. But a man's soul and well being I truly care about came first and We must all respect and honor that. Justin will be back and I know he looks forward to performing for you and with you all again. One chapter ends and another begins. Thank you again. Now please stop commenting on all my other photos that have nothing to do with this :) just kidding....but I'm not . Jokes aside your support for Justin is inspiring. Cheers.

A post shared by Scooter Braun (@scooterbraun) on

John Mayer took to Twitter to show his support for Justin’s decision to end his tour early, offering a much-needed reminder about the importance of self-care.

Social media star and actress Lele Pons also tweeted her support, telling the Biebs to get some rest.

Justin may have caused some serious tears with this cancellation, but if taking a step back is what he needs right now, then his true fans will support him no matter what.

Senate Republicans Have Voted to Debate an Obamacare Replacement

Senate Republicans voted Tuesday to advance the debate on repealing and replacing Obamacare, CNN reports. With so much (often conflicting) information surrounding this issue, sometimes it’s hard to even know where to start when it comes to understanding what’s happening. Here’s what you need to know.

The vote Tuesday means the Senate will be starting the discussion about the ‘repeal and replace’ we’ve been hearing so much about. However, as The New York Times points out, we don’t know which version of the legislation to replace the Affordable Care Act the Senate Republicans will debate. The Times took a look at six of the current plans we know about, and explained that the Congressional Budget Office’s analyses show the plans are all incredibly similar. And the biggest similarity is the number of people who will lose their health insurance in the next 10 years. At least 20 million people would be losing health insurance with any of the replacement bills. The Senate is now heading into a debate period, followed by an even more intense voting period where they’ll try to hammer out the finer details and amendments of the bill of their choosing. All of this will lead to a final vote by the Senate. If it passes, the bill will head back to the House, and then on to the president for signing.

Democrats still stand united against the bill. They object strongly to what the bill will do to those currently insured by the ACA. It will end health care for millions in the country, slash funding for Medicaid, defund Planned Parenthood, and sharply raise prices for those with preexisting conditions. Sen. Bernie Sanders had some particularly strong words for the bill Monday, calling it the "cruelest, most destructive and irresponsible piece of legislation ever brought to the United States Senate in the modern history of this country."

The margin was so narrow that Republicans worried right up until the vote on Tuesday that the bill might not advance. There are 52 Republicans in the Senate right now, and 50 votes were needed to pass the bill. In the end, most of the senators who had been hesitant ended up voting yes.

It helped that Sen. John McCain, who had been away following a diagnosis of brain cancer and a subsequent surgery, flew back to Washington Tuesday just for the vote. His return received applause from senators on both sides of the aisle—but there have been questions about whether or not McCain was well enough to vote on a bill so soon after a major surgery. Others commented that there was irony in McCain voting to advance a bill that could take health care away from tens of millions of people right after he received life-saving care from a world-class medical team.

The vote came out to a 50-50 tie, requiring Vice President Mike Pence to make the tie-breaking vote 51-50 in favor of the Republicans.

From here, it’s hard to know what exactly will happen next—a situation that's right in line with the status quo for this presidency.

It Only Took 9 Years of Trolling for Donald Trump to Block Chrissy Teigen on Twitter

If you follow Chrissy Teigen on any of her social media accounts, you know she has a strong dislike for President Donald Trump and is not afraid to voice it. She packs her most scalding burns into 140 characters or less, racking up thousands of retweets and likes from fans who share her political views (and sense of humor).

In the past, the president hasn’t seemed to care about her tweets directed at him (except for that time he retweeted someone else insulting Chrissy).

But just recently, Trump decided he'd had enough. The last straw came in the form of this tweet, where Chrissy replied to Trump, "Lolllllll no one likes you."

Chrissy isn't the only celebrity to be blocked by Trump; according to Wired, Trump has also blocked author Stephen King, Star Trek actress Marina Sirtis, journalist Lauren Wolfe and many others—and the fact that he's blocking people is raising questions about whether or not that's a violation of the First Amendment.

Although being blocked means that Chrissy won’t be able to see Trump’s tweets from her personal account, I’m sure she’ll still be firing tweets his way. I’m looking forward to even more political hilarity coming from Chrissy after this.

DeMario Jackson Asked Out Britney Spears in 2008, & Her Response Was Hilarious

It turns out Rachel Lindsay wasn't the first woman in the spotlight who DeMario Jackson tried to woo. This X17 video shows the future Bachelorette contestant working his charm on pop star Britney Spears back in 2008.

The video shows a brunette Britney leaving Ralphs supermarket in Los Angeles, according to Us Weekly. Several photographers surrounded the star to ask her personal questions about her kids, her relationship with then-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib and a pregnancy test. While the paparazzi searched for celebrity gossip, Jackson, who apparently was at the grocery store parking lot when Spears was leaving, used the opportunity to ask the star on a date.

DeMario made Britney laugh with this opening line: "Britney, f*** it, you need a black dude. Real talk!" Britney responded, "I need a black dude? I like black dudes. You guys are cool."

Jackson insisted that Spears take down his number. "Call me! I'm dead serious," he said. When she asked for his name, he replied, "My name is DeMario Jackson. I'm an up-and-coming actor. I want to be like you. I want everybody to see me on TV. Real talk. You're dope…My mom loves you, and she said tell Britney."

As Brit laughed, DeMario continued to confess his love for her and even began to spell out his Myspace URL (because this was a time before Instagram and Twitter handles). His confidence didn't seem to shake as he went in for a hug, asking, "Can I just have a hug for TV?"

His friends shouted "Demo!" as Jackson, bottle in hand, pressed his luck one last time. "You should really take down my number. Like, you know what I'm saying? We should hang out," he said.

Spears' smile faded as she got into her car with a quick "Bye, y'all," leaving Jackson to dwell in the rejection.

Things may not have worked out with Britney Spears, but DeMario's situation has only gotten worse in recent months. He was at the center of a Bachelor in Paradise sexual misconduct scandal in June, an investigation which has since been closed. This guy just can't catch a break, can he?

This Is How 'Stranger Things' Recreated Eleven's Buzz Cut for Season 2 Without Actually Shaving Her Head

The internet practically broke when Netflix released the newest trailer for Season 2 of Stranger Things, the thriller that was an instant hit as soon as the first season dropped last year. The upcoming season's teaser left observant fans eager for answers to a very important question.

Based on the trailer, all the kids are back, including Eleven, and she seems to be sporting the same buzz cut as in Season 1—but lately, we've been seeing actress Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven, growing out her hair. Because of this, fans have been wondering if she had to shave her hair again for Season 2. The trailer made its debut at Comic-Con in San Diego this past weekend, and ever since, people have been buzzing about the buzz cut. Watch it below:

Stranger Things executive producer and director Shawn Levy had an answer, and it’s pretty awesome. In an interview with Marie Claire, Levy said, “We couldn’t be so heartless as to make her shave her head all over again. So because Millie’s hair was longer, and some of Season 2 needed that same buzz cut, we put all of her hair under a wig and then used visual effects to help make it look like a perfect match to the end of Season 1. So a combination of wig and VFX.”

Just when we thought Stranger Things couldn't get any cooler, we now can also appreciate the awesome visual effects that went into Eleven's iconic haircut.

Levy also gave USA Today the inside scoop on what else fans can expect for Season 2 of the hit show, saying Eleven's return will give more insight into her backstory. "She's a full-on character this season…her role is substantial and really satisfying."

I can’t wait to binge out on Season 2, which streams on Netflix October 27!

6 Places to Buy Chic Gym Clothes When You Can’t Afford Lululemon

Don’t get me wrong: Lululemon is fire. It’s often easy to overlook the fact that leggings are $100 with that tiny Lulu logo there to validate your taste, but unless you have an unlimited budget there’s no way you can completely stock your gym wardrobe with these pieces. For the average college student, here are some alternate brands that maintain style without totally draining your college fund.

1. Target

C9 Champion® Embrace Perferated Capri, $34.99

C9 Champion® Power Shape High Support Sports Bra, $24.99

An obvious choice for basically anything at a reasonable price, the C9 by Champion line at Target keeps up with the trends but at a much more modest price. Zip up sports bras? Check. Sheer cut-out leggings? Got ‘em. Not to mention there are constantly discounts on Cartwheel, and if you don’t know what Cartwheel is, well, you’re obviously not a true Targetaholic…but for real, download the app. All that plus a constantly updated clearance rack? Yes please.

Collegiettes love Target too. “I have tank tops and workout leggings from Target that have held up just as well as the big name brand clothes such as Nike,” Amanda Goecke from Carthage College said.

2. Fabletics

Nyla 3-Piece Outfit, VIP Price $69.95

Branxton 2-Piece Outfit, VIP Price $49.95

If you’re even semi-active on Facebook you’ve probably been bombarded with advertisements for Fabletics, Kate Hudson’s cute AF activewear brand. While reviews about the way VIP membership works have been mixed, if you’re someone who goes shopping at least once a month it’s definitely worth checking out. You get charged $49.95 a month as a VIP member to spend on a total outfit or separates. Plus, there’s usually a sign-up bonus, like a major discount on an outfit (think less than 30 bucks for the whole shabang) or two pairs of leggings for $24. You can also opt out each month and not get charged if you need to.

3. H&M

Sports Bra, $24.99

Sports Tank Top, $14.99

Normally I reserve H&M for trying out edgier pieces before investing in a higher-end brand, but it turns out they have a pretty fresh activewear line too. Who knew? The prices are perfect for the college student on a budget, and the black, gray and white color scheme makes their line incredibly wearable for everyone.

4. Aerie

Aerie Play High-Rise Legging, $34.95

Aerie Chill Shine Strap Sports Bra, $29.95

Hello, high school me who went to American Eagle on the regular. Right next door at Aerie there are not only soft sleep shirts and cute underwear, but also basic athletic wear with a nice range of colors and styles. Generally, they just sell leggings and sports bras, but Lord knows I don’t have time to get complicated when dressing for the gym anyway. Plus we love the message of #aeriereal.

5. Outlets or TJMaxx

Under Armour Compression Crossback Bra at T.J. Maxx, $14.99

Under Armour Fly By Capris at T.J. Maxx, $19.99

If you really are a brand snob, no judgment, but there are options for buying those signature Nike or Adidas goodies at a lower cost. Outlet malls are pretty much in any major city, and everything inside is usually discounted at least a little bit. Lola George from University of North Texas, who works as a personal trainer, said she often goes to outlet stores for her workout clothes.

TJ Maxx is another great place for discounts on name brands. Morgan Mullings, a sophomore at Saint John’s University, said, “Tj Maxx and Marshalls definitely have the BEST variety of cheap workout clothes. They have so many different brands and everything is marked down, more than any other store I've been to!”

6. Girlfriend Collective

Toasted Apricot Girlfriend Mid-Rise Legging, $68

Powder Blue Topanga Bra, $38

Remember that tempting offer for free leggings (actually free leggings for the cost of shipping, but no need to sweat the deets)? Well the offers gone, but the company has launched its full website and it is nice. They offer a pretty streamlined selection of just leggings and bras, but in a variety of super chic colors. The price is a little bit higher than others on this list, but they use eco-friendly material and ethical practices to deliver affordable, functional, minimalist athletic wear.

If you don’t feel like splurging for yet another Lulu tank top (which, TBH, when do you ever feel like splurging?), resist the cute aesthetic and chipper employees of the Lululemon store and try out some cheaper options. You can still achieve that effortlessly chic just-after-the-gym look without having to dish out the cash.

A Senator's Mic Caught Her Clapping Back at the GOP Representative Who Challenged Her to a Duel & It's Everything

ICYMI, Rep. Blake Farenthold, a Republican from Texas, made some comments last week that can only be described as, um, interesting. In short, while criticizing the three "female Republican senators from the Northeast" for not supporting the GOP health care bill, Farenthold said, "if it was a guy from south Texas I might ask him to step outside and settle this Aaron Burr-style." Yes, seriously, you read that right - in 2017 he challenged them to a duel.

Clearly, Senator Susan Collins of Maine, one of the three female GOP senators Farenthold was referring to, thinks his comments were just as ridiculous as we do: her entire clap back was accidentally caught on mic following a committee meeting and it's basically the best thing ever.

According to the Huffington Post, Collins turned to Senator Jack Reed of Rhode Island, and thinking her mic had been turned off, asked him if he'd heard about Farenthold's comments. At around 1:20, Reed can be heard telling Collins, "You know why he challenged you to a duel? Because you could beat the shit out of him!"

"He is huge," Collins says in response. "He is so unattractive, it's unbelievable."

In the hot mic recording, Collins and Reed can also be heard commenting about President Trump. Reed says, "I think he’s crazy. I mean, I don’t say that lightly and as a kind of a goofy guy," to which Collins responds, "I’m worried."

Collins has since apologized for the comments caught by her mic, but TBH, I'll just be over here LIVING for her and Reed's savage responses and juicy government gossip - sorry not sorry.

16 Fights You Still Have With Your Siblings as Adults

Sibling relationships are so complicated. One minute you're best friends and the next you want to rip each others' throats out. Totally normal, right? Even though we've all matured into responsible adults (lol), we still fight with our siblings every time we see them. Here are 16 things you hate to admit you still fight about.

1. Who gets to choose what TV show to watch

No, we can't watch sports when The Bachelor is on.

2. Where to go for dinner

You don't mess around when it comes to food.

3. Who gets to ride shotgun in the car

"But I'm the oldest" gets old.

4. Who your parents' favorite child is

It's obviously you.

5. Stealing each other's clothes without asking

And then RUINING THEM.

6. Tattling on each other

Yes, it still happens.

7. Who gets to hop in the shower first

You'll never have hot water if you're not first.

8. What to get your parents for holidays

Coordinating is so hard sometimes, okay?

9. Where you'll take the next family vacation

Can't we all just agree on a nice tropical location?

10. Who has the cutest pet

Is it even a competition? It's always yours.

11. What music to listen to in the car

Their choice is hardly even considered music.

12. Who has to be the "Uber" driver home

It basically determines who gets to order a margarita with dinner.

13. When they still try to pull a prank on you

What, are we five?!

14. Who gets to use the phone charger in the car

Even if theirs is at 15 percent and yours is at 74, you still need to power up.

15. Why they bring up an embarrassing story about you as a kid AGAIN

THAT WAS ONE TIME. Stop bringing it up.

16. Who loves each other more

Aww, it's safe to say you'll fight with your siblings your entire lives, but you still love them regardless!

That Viral Tinder Couple Finally Met in Person for the First Time and It Was Adorable

In case you were in need of a sign that Tinder is good for something other than awful pickup lines and fuckboys, the couple who went viral on Twitter after flirting via Tinder for over three (!!!) years, finally met in real life - and it will give you hope for dating apps.

Kent State University students Michelle Arendas and Josh Avsec matched on Tinder three years ago, and began a hilarious back-and-forth of replying to each others' messages weeks and even months late with excuses like, "Sorry, I was in the shower." (Lol.) Even though they went to the same school, they never actually met over the course of the whole thing - until now.

The couple appeared on Good Morning America on Tuesday, where they met for the first time. (A next-level first date am I right?) Before meeting, they were interviewed on either side of the wall to figure out if they had anything in common. (FYI, they both love Netflix-bingeing The Office, because who doesn't?) From there, they were also asked the v pressing question of why they never decided to meet.

"I was committed to my joke,” Michelle told GMA. “I loved the fact that we had a similar sense of humor, so I was not going to be the one who gave in and gave up that great joke we had." Fair point, but three years you guys? Really?

When the show finally allowed them to meet, it was nothing short of adorable, obviously. Their next date? Tinder is sending them to Maui to finally give them the opportunity to get to know each other - and TBH my faith in dating apps has been entirely renewed.

First Time Sex Advice From a Girl Who Lost Her Virginity on a Tinder Date

The opinions expressed in this article are the author's own and do not reflect the views of Her Campus.

By Katie Altstadt

I was 21 when I lost my virginity to a guy I met on Tinder. He had two full sleeve tattoos, bragged about being a misanthropist and was a budding bartender. I liked him, but I also knew nothing about him. Once he started kissing me in his dingy kitchen, which smelled like pizza and lemon floor cleaner, I knew we would have sex. We did, of course, and when it was over, I didn’t feel bad, scared or really even that satisfied. I felt relieved.

Though I had been prepared for my first time for a while, here are four tips I wish I would have gotten from friends to calm my pre-sex jitters.

1. It’s okay (actually normal!) to not be in love the first time you have sex

My first time sex experience wasn’t romantic by any means. We did it on his faux Tempur-pedic mattress while a slasher movie played in the background. While he was gentle, it was uncomfortable, and I could tell he was trying not to laugh during the first few seconds when I couldn’t stop queefing. Looking back, I know that even if I had been in love with him, the experience still wouldn’t have been “special.” I personally don’t think being in love would have taken away the fact that it was painful or awkward. I was curious what sex was like, and while I didn’t expect to experience it with him, I was glad I was finally able to understand it and how my body and mind reacted. Now I know my body, and I enjoy sex so much more.

I would never recommend losing your virginity to a random person, especially on a first date, but don’t feel bad if you’re unsure if the person who takes it is the one you want to marry. If it feels right in the moment, go for it. If not, there’s no harm in waiting until you’re ready.

2. Try different positions

Everyone told me that missionary would be my go-to position for my first no pants dance. However, this position does not allow you to have control over the depth and pace, which is important for your first time. Try any position that feels right for you. I personally like girl on top. This position lets you control everything from pace to depth to angle. Plus, if you need to take a breather, you can pull them into hug or lean down and give them a few neck kisses until you’re ready to continue. Do some research, experiment a little and learn what feels best for your body.

3. Lube is for everyone

Admittedly, I was a little too much in my own thoughts when I first had sex. I was too worried about pain, facial expressions and strange body noises (which you can undoubtedly expect) to really immerse myself in the experience. On top of that, there was little to no foreplay, which plays a huge part in getting ready for the deed. Lube is never something you should be afraid or embarrassed of. It’s a necessity for your first time. It will not only help you become ready for sex, but it will also make you more comfortable. Don’t be afraid to take a breather during a kissing session and grab it. You can apply it yourself—or to make things extra steamy, ask that they apply it for you.

4. Have fun!

Sex has always been communicated as this huge life event that takes a lot of consideration and planning, like transitioning jobs or moving across the country. While sex is a big deal, it’s not something you should be scared of or embarrassed about. Talk about with your partner or anyone else who’s willing to listen. When you do experience sex for the first time, don’t forget to have fun. The first time will be awkward—there will be long pauses, strange noises and a few giggles. So take it as an opportunity to get to know yourself and your body better, in addition to your partner.

Channing Tatum Showed Up at People's Houses to Deliver Vodka & of Course They Freaked Out

PSA: If you need to stock up on vodka any time soon, now would be the time to do so - because Channing Tatum just might be the delivery guy that shows up at your house.

Customers of the alcohol delivery app Saucey in Los Angeles lost their collective minds this weekend when they ordered bottles of his new liquor brand Born and Bred and it was hand-delivered by none other than Channing Tatum himself, Cosmopolitan says. Um excuse me, where do I sign up?

"I got to have a little fun freaking people out this weekend," Channing posted in an Instagram caption on Monday. "With the help of @sauceyapp we spent the day delivering @bornandbred Vodka to the good people of LA. Thanks to all who let us into your homes-- a few of you owe money to the swear jar."

I mean, can you blame them? I mean, I'd probably have some choice words too if Channing Tatum showed up at my doorstep. Naturally, the actor made sure to document everyone's reactions, and the resulting video is basically priceless.

If you missed round one or don't live in LA, don't freak - the actor says he and Saucey have plans to keep making people's days in another city very soon, so if that's not a reason to have your next alcohol run delivered to your doorstep, I'm not sure what is.
