MAC Just Changed the Lip Kit Game Forever

Anyone who loves lipstick knows that MAC's lip liners—which, incidentally, match their best-selling lippies—are fire. Their nude lipsticks especially have a cult following. The only thing Kylie has had on MAC so far is that she makes our lives easier by packaging lip colors with their matching liners. But MAC caught onto the trend, and is answering all your prayers with its own "lip kit."

You read that right: MAC is now offering premade sets of cult-favorite nude lipsticks and liners. Which means the world is complete and I can die a happy woman.

This is especially exciting for people like me, who love lipstick but are clueless when it comes to finding a matching lip liner. These new lip kits will take care of all that for you!

The kits come in six different totally fab color combos, and are now available on the Macy's website. I'm personally most excited about the Twig + Half-Red and Velvet Teddy + Boldly Bare sets, but let's be real—they are all perfect. Check out the full product line here.

And the best part? The kit only costs $29, which is cheaper than buying the two products separately. I don't want to be a bad influence, but you should probably just buy them all. You know you want to.

Get Ready for This Alexis Ren x ColourPop Collab

There seems to be a never-ending list of celebrities partnering with makeup companies to create their own line of products. While some collabs are very "been there, done that," somehow there are still some that are out-of-this-world amazing. And I have a feeling that the collab between Alexis Ren and ColourPop will be the latter.

If you haven't heard of Alexis Ren... well, you just should. The 20-year-old model has quickly acquired fame (as in 7.7 million Instagram followers—that's more than Mariah Carey!!!) and been included in campaigns with brands such as Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, and Diane Von Furstenburg.

While we don't know a whole lot about her upcoming collab, we can make a few guesses from her Instagram:

Alexis is giving off some serious surfer-girl vibes, ones that I can only hope will be available to very non-surfer girl types (think: Midwest pasty) like myself, with the arrival of her new products. A bronzer, perhaps? (Please.)

So far, there is no information available on the release date, but I know I will be waiting anxiously to see what awesome products they come up with!

In the meantime, check out Alexis's interview with Allure for tips on how she stays lookin' so fly even when she's hitting the beach, and how to use coconut oil everyyyyywhere (as if I needed another excuse to buy a jar of the stuff).

Selena Gomez's New Show Looks A Lot Like 'Pretty Little Liars'

I've been waiting for Selena Gomez to return to television ever since Wizards of Waverly Place ended. As previously announced, she is doing just that with Netflix's 13 Reasons Why.

Though we won't seen her on-screen, Selena is an executive producer of the series and as such, took to Instagram to offer a little tease of what we can expect when the show drops on March 31.

A peek at a passion project I've been working on with @Netflix. @13ReasonsWhy arrives 3/31.

A video posted by Selena Gomez (@selenagomez) on

13 Reasons Why is based on the New York Times best-selling novel of the same name. As seen in the teaser, the series centers around cassette tapes left behind by Hannah Baker, who committed suicide just two weeks earlier. In the tapes, Hannah explains the 13 reasons why she decided to kill herself.

I can't be the only one getting serious Pretty Little Liars vibes from that video, right? With PLL going off the airwaves in mere months, I think I may have found a proper replacement.

This DIY Cake Bunting Is Perfect for Valentine's Day

This article has been syndicated to Her Campus from The Pink Paper Doll, an InfluenceHer Collective member. Read the full post here.

I made this cake that’s free of gluten and refined sugar for a meeting last week. Absolutely no one who knew me was surprised when I brought out a white cake stand, pink cake and Valentine’s Day cake banner, because cutesy decoration is kinda my thing. However, I was a little surprised at how well it went over. My ultra-healthy treats aren’t always the hit of the party but this cake was definitely the exception. I read once that pink makes sweets look irresistible! I think this cake topper definitely proves that true. Everyone couldn’t wait to dig in, and I think the aesthetic presentation played a big part in that.

Ready to make a cake banner? The best part is that’s it’s really easy but looks totally impressive when it’s done.

Step 1

Cut four or five triangles of fabric. The fabric can be of your choice. If you have heaps of fabric scraps like I do, this is a perfect use for them. Upcycle those fabric scraps!

Step 2

Then I used tacky glue on the triangle’s edge to affix it to the string. I used If You Care cooking twine because I love their Eco-friendly, unbleached cooking products, but you can use any twine or yarn you like.

Every time Kylie Jenner announces a new project, I think there's no way she can outdo herself again. But the newly crowned Empress of the makeup industry ("queen" feels reductive) always proves me wrong. In today's episode of "LOL try keeping up with Kylie I dare you," Kylie Cosmetics just announced a Valentine's Day collection that was probably hit with Cupid's arrow, because I am in love (I realize that's not how Cupid works—just let me have this one). First of all, there are glittery-packaged lip kits and a red mini box set that will make your heart beat faster than an EDM song.

Second, Kylie revealed ridiculous amounts of new products on her Snapchat, including a new eye and cheek palette named "Kylie's Diary," two new lip kit shades ("Valentine" and "Head Over Heels"), a minis kit with both new and tried-and-true shades, as well as THREE "Valentine" sets, which come with two lip products and two exclusive eye shadows each. See for yourself, because my words fail me:

These limited edition babies debut February 2 at 3 p.m. PST on KylieCosmetics.com, and as I'm sure you're aware, they will sell out, so you're gonna want to set an alarm. And speaking of alarms, it didn't take makeup addicts long to sound theirs. Even Jaclyn Hill has zero chill:

Others chimed in, proving once again that King Kylie reigns over us all:

Same, girl, same. So yeah.

Why It’s Okay to Never Settle for Less Than Your Dream Job

$

With graduation right around the corner, the scramble to find an amazing job opportunity with that newly earned degree is in full swing. You’ve spent hours perfecting your resume, editing your cover letters and checking your email for interview offers – but how do you choose which job to actually accept? Dreams of your perfect job have been building in your head with every study session and hard exam you’ve taken during your undergraduate career – you couldn’t possibly settle for anything less than that, right?

Be realistic and assess your dream job

Now, there’s nothing wrong with having high goals and expectations for your first job post-grad, but it’s important to remember to be realistic. According to the Director of External Relations at Hofstra University, Darlene Johnson, a typical job search lasts six to 12 months and finding your ultimate dream job during that period might be tough in a competitive market and a general lack of experience in your desired field. The key to finding the right job is assessing the overall view of your dream job and being willing to make adjustments as needed.

“While you might have an idea of the ‘perfect job,’ be open to other possibilities,” Johnson says. “Your first job is a time to learn as much as possible and that first job may teach you what you need to pursue other opportunities.”

Search for your right-now dream job, not your long-term one

I know what you might be thinking. It can’t be your dream job if it’s not exactly what you’re looking for. But that’s not exactly true. Instead of looking for your long-term dream job right after college, sometimes it’s better to look for your after-graduation dream job instead. Who knew there could be so many different types of dream jobs?

“A dream job is many different things to many different people,” Johnson says. “For some, earning a certain salary can make a job a dream job, for others it’s the opportunity to help people in the community. The key is knowing what makes a job a dream job for you. Take stock of your own values and what would make you happy to go to work each day.”

Experiment with internships to find what you love

Despite a lack of experience, there is one big benefit to being a new college grad: you have unlimited options for where your career can take you. Being able to experiment with different internships while in college can set you up for success when trying to narrow down your potential job opportunities. In fact, Andrew Hindes, president of The In-House Writer, a Los Angeles-based training and marketing copywriting company, believes internships play a huge role in landing a great job after college.

“First of all, they give students a chance to try out different occupations, industries and companies,” Hindes says. “They also give them a big leg up in the job search once they graduate, because they not only have some experience, but if they apply to a company where they have interned — assuming all went well— it puts them ahead of other people applying because they are a known commodity.”

Related: Didn’t Get That Internship? Here Are 5 Career-Boosting Alternatives

While internships are a great way to start making connections outside of those that are strictly college-affiliated, they also allow you to tiptoe into a real-world setting within your desired industry. They allow you to see first-hand what your future career could be – which can help you either eliminate certain areas from your job hunt or narrow down desirable aspects of certain jobs. Having multiple internships before going on a big post-grad job hunt can ultimately lead to knowing exactly what you want in your career, making it even easier to find a job you love – maybe even your dream job. “The more you know about yourself and the jobs available to you, the greater chance that you will find yourself in a dream job,” Johnson says.

Find a job with potential promotions

Despite never wanting to feel like we’re settling for a job that isn’t quite the so-called “perfect” one, sometimes it seems like the only option. Maybe your perfect dream job isn’t out there yet, or maybe you just aren’t quite qualified for it yet – but that’s okay. There’s plenty of time to start at a lower position and work your way up the ladder. Instead of looking at it like accepting a job that is less prestigious than you’d like, think of it as a stepping-stone to achieving that dream job in the future.

“While I would not suggest that a student settle, I would always suggest that a student keep an open mind and look at all aspects of a position,” Johnson says. “The position offered may not be considered a dream job, but it may give the recent graduate the opportunity to learn and grow within her field, thus making landing that dream job within reach after on.”

Never doubt yourself and what you can achieve

However, sometimes the matter isn’t even about aiming too high in regards to which jobs we think we are willing to apply for – it’s actually the opposite. Many graduating women are too afraid of rejection, so they never even send in their applications, which is a problem CEO and Founder of The Brand Girls Rachael Bozsik deals with often. Her company works on making college clients view their professional selves in a different light by transforming the way they think about themselves and their professional potential.

“Many college women feel as if their dream job is out of reach,” Bozsik says. “Whether it is working as a neurosurgeon or working at Vogue, and will only apply to a position when they feel they are 100 percent qualified.” She believes this can be an applicant’s first mistake caused by a lack of professional confidence. “In order to land your dream job, you must truly know who you are and why you are a valuable asset to a company over the thousands of other applicants,” she explains.

Evaluating yourself and your personal goals is extremely important during the hunt for your dream job, and so is the evaluation of your future job. Sometimes the definition of your dream job needs to be adjusted to fit what you’re needing right now, not what you need/want long-term.

“You need to also think about the full picture: an awesome job that challenges you and excites you, wonderful, smart colleagues and a boss who has your back, working for a company that values and recognizes – and also rewards – its hard-working, diligent employees – these are all equally important factors,” Vicki Salemi, a career expert at Monster says.

Be willing to work for it

Your first job out of college doesn’t have to be your forever job, but it shouldn’t be a complete waste of your time either. Salemi believes everyone deserves to work at whatever their dream job should be, as long as they are willing to put in the work for it.

“Be relentless in the pursuit but don’t pass up opportunities for the really great jobs that are out there, especially when you’re just starting out,” Salemi advises. “It took me years to land in my dream job – my current role of empowering people and sharing my insights from my recruiting days – so if you don’t find it in your twenties, keep pursuing rewarding, challenging, fun work along the way. And take it from me, you’re going to be okay.”

You should never feel like you need to give up on your dream job, especially if you’re a motivated college student. Instead of setting your sights on one particular position, try making a list of the general aspects you want your new job to have. For example, if you want a company with great values, search for companies that put those shared values first. As long as you keep your options open, you’ll be working at your dream job as your first post-grad job in no time.

Stop Everything- Evolution Fresh is Giving Out Free Green Juice Tomorrow

When I was a little kid, the only thing I hated more than going to math class, was vegetables. I mean, why would anyone want to eat something that looked like it straight came out of the ground? (Which, obviously it did, hence my hesitation.) But as I got older, I found something in life that allowed me to get my greens AND not cringe doing it: green juice. The sad part about all of this is that typically, it costs like $10 a pop to get one in Manhattan. Worth it? Nah.

Luckily for me and others in my situation, tomorrow is National Green Juice Day and Evolution Fresh just announced that they are celebrating hardcore by teaming up with Postmates to deliver three free bottles of “cold-pressed, high pressure processed” green juice to customers all over the country. More specifically, their Smooth Greens & Kale juice. Yes, please.

The reason for this, according to the Starbucks press release, is that Evolution Fresh wants to inspire people to “thrive by helping them take those small sips toward a healthier way of living.”

So, how do you get these three free bottles you ask? Well, if you live in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Seattle, Washington DC, Miami, Phoenix, Orange County, or San Diego, all you have to do is go to www.greenjuiceday.com beginning at 1 p.m local time and voila, the bottles are yours for free!

What could be better? (Free puppies, maybe? Okay fine, I'll stop.)

4 Things You Shouldn't Do When You Find Out Your Ex is Dating Someone New

$

0

Pat Benatar had it right when she sang “Love is a Battlefield.” No one likes to see someone that they poured their heart and soul into falling in love with someone else. Jealousy is common but as much as the green monster can get the best of us, there are just some things that we should not do when our ex is dating someone new. These are a few of them.

1. Stalk their social media

We understand that the appeal is there. You may have wanted to be the bigger person and not unfollow your ex everywhere you could, which is great at the time, but when it comes to getting this new information, you may feel the urge to go find out every last detail about their new relationship as soon as possible. You will want to stalk your ex, their new bae, their friends, families and every last person you can think of. As much as information is power, it is also a demon. You don’t need to know everything.

Instead: Take a break from social media or do a cleanse. Use the time to unfollow or unfriend those people who may not really be contributing to your happiness. If you know you will have the ultimate urge, maybe discontinuing your strictly social media ‘friendship’ is the next step you need toward complete closure. It doesn’t mean you can’t be civil if you see each other in person.

2. Find a rebound

Hooking up with someone may distract you from whatever you are feeling now, but it probably won’t help in the long run. The same goes for jumping into a new relationship. Unless you genuinely care for the person and want to have fun or be with them, it won’t do you or them any justice to just mess around. And even if you do find someone that you want to be with, make sure you feel that you are ready for a new relationship and not to rush into things. Emily*, a senior at Framingham State University, says, "I was getting ready to finally enter a new relationship with someone I felt a true connection with. And once I realized that I had that new person and my ex had moved on, I felt that it was okay to officially move on myself."

Instead: Spend time with the important people who are already in your life. Talk more with your family and reach out to friends. Have a girls’ night, start binging a new show or go to the spa. Go spend time with yourself and really take the time you need to ensure your own happiness.

Related: 5 Ways to Let Go of a Relationship That Ended Before it Started

3. Go on a rampage

Seeing someone you cared for with someone new can be heartbreaking, and it is understandable to be angry or feel some sort of hatred. You may want to punch walls, rip your room to shreds, quit school or your job, and go on an isolation frenzy where you detach from anyone and everyone who dare enter your path. It is okay be feel whatever emotions make their way to your surface. Just don’t take it out on those who surround you. Domini Batista, a junior at Framingham State University, says, "I wanted to tell her how big of a shit he was, but after that I told him that I wish him the best of luck and now I'm friends with both of them."

Instead: Find other ways to express yourself. Be creative by writing, painting or trying a new artistic form. Exercise your body by taking a class or watching some YouTube videos of easy workouts you can do from home. It doesn’t necessarily matter what you do, but the extra energy that you get from your emotions can be an amazing power source that you use otherwise.

4. Spend too much time sulking

When you devote time and effort to someone, it is okay to be sad when they move on and give to someone else want you possibly wanted. But instead of destroying everything around you, you may feel the need to cry alone in your room with a pint of your favorite ice cream. You can hide away if need be, but it is important to know that you will have to come out eventually. Chelsea Hathaway, a senior at Framingham State University, says, "You always hope you will be 'the one' that they always wish they could have back, and once you see they are moving on and dating someone new you realize that part of your life is over."

Instead: Get out of the house or dorm every once in a while. Even just going for a walk or changing your scenery will help. Dedicate some time to make sure you are not alone. Even if it is a brief text just letting someone know you’re still alive and they don’t have to take care of the litter box for you can be good enough.

Yes, you might start freaking out when you see your ex with someone new. You may want to do any and all of these things, but in the end, we all know that we can’t let our old feelings get the best of us. There is a reason you are no longer with that person. Now you are free from them and can go on to rule the world.

Trump Wants to Investigate Completely Baseless Claims of Voter Fraud in the Presidential Election

$

It's no secret that Donald Trump is not starting the presidency with much love from his constituents. From the hashtag #NotMyPresident to Civil Rights icon and Representative John Lewis calling Trump an illegitimate president, from House Democrats boycotting the inauguration to women protesting around the world, many Americans see his election as a formality, not the will of the people—especially because he lost the popular vote by nearly 3 million votes. But, in true Trump fashion, our president truly believes he won the popular vote. He tweeted on his personal account, not his presidential one, that he only lost the popular vote because of massive voter fraud.

On Wednesday, he made good on his promise, asking to launch an investigation into the voter fraud. He claims the fraudulent votes numbered in the 3 to 5 million range (what a coincidence that he lost by about that much!), with most of them coming from places like New York and California (what a coincidence that those are two of the bluest states in the country!).

Let's be clear: There is absolutely no evidence to suggest there was any significant voter fraud in the 2016 election. And Trump campaign attorneys used to believe that, back when they fought Dr. Jill Stein’s recount efforsts. At the time, they asserted the election was not tainted by voter fraud or mistakes. When this point was brought up in a press conference Wednesday, White House Press Secretary (or Secretary of Alternative Facts) Sean Spicer responded, “There was a lot of states we didn’t compete in that is not necessarily the case. California and New York… We didn’t look at those two states in particular… I think when you look at where a lot of these potential issues could have occurred, the bigger states, that’s where I think we are going to look.”

These large states went overwhelmingly to Clinton, so many don't see the value in looking at them instead at states where the race was the closest—swing states like New Hampshire and Florida. Because the investigation is allegedly going to focus on these heavily blue states, it seems more like retaliation than any real investigation. The Washington Post was told by an unnamed Trump adviser that the president has been upset over losing the popular vote for weeks (because if there is anything a narcissist hates, it’s obvious evidence that not everybody loves them). Again, neither Trump nor Spicer has offered any concrete evidence to legitimatize this investigation, but Spicer did say in Tuesday's press conference that Trump has believed voter fraud impacted the election "for a while, based on studies and information he has." Notice he's being as vague as possible—because there's literally no evidence that any signficant voter fraud has occurred.

There are many opponents to this investigation, some coming from within the Republican party. According to CBS News, House Speaker Paul Ryan has said “he has seen no evidence to that fact [of widespread voter fraud]”. According to the Washington Times, House Minority leader Nancy Pelosi said believes this investigation just displays Trump's insecurities.

Many Democrats see this as another pernicious way to strip voter rights from the people. The right to vote was previously protected by the Voting Rights Act of 1964. The act was meant to eliminate racial intimidation in the South that was stopping many black people from voting. But the act was gutted in 2013, after a decision by the Supreme Court saying parts of it were no longer relevant. In response, many Southern and Midwestern states instantly rolled back voter protections and put in place laws that restricted voters, such as voter ID laws. Rep.Elijiah Cummings of Maryland told MSNBC, "The thing that I worry about with this argument about voter fraud is it gives the Republicans and others another tool and another reason to justify to the public of denying people the right to vote."

This is far from the first time Trump has asserted the election was rigged against him. In fact, he maintained during the election that if Clinton won, it would be because the election was rigged. He even cited these studies from The Washington Post and the Pew Research Center to demonstrate that the voting system was allowing many people to vote illegally. But both studies instead showed only that the voting system was antiquated, and that many people were unsure if they even could vote. The Post study was rebutted, and the Pew study was subsequently downplayed. Pew maintains there is no evidence of voter fraud in the 2016 election. It was a claim many hopped to show were false, myself included. But our own president won't let it go.

22 Reasons Why Friday Nights In Your Room Always Trump Going Out

$

0

Staying in instead of going out is a choice. There’s no reason to feel ashamed for wanting to do so. After a long week, sometimes we just need to recharge our batteries! Here are 22 reasons why Friday nights in your room always trump going out.

1. Free food

Sure, there are no waiters or waitresses waiting on you hand and foot, but there is a fridge full of food. And plot twist, it doesn’t cost you $25 a plate.

2. There’s no chance of embarrassing yourself

You don’t have to worry about tripping over air in front of a bar full of bystanders or not realizing you had something in your teeth the entire night.

3. Your bed

There are no beds at the club. Hell, there are no free seats at the club.

4. No chance of witnessing secondhand embarrassment

Secondhand embarrassment can be just as bad as firsthand. You won’t have to witness your drunken friends making fools out of themselves or be forced to watch a stranger attempt to dance on beat.

5. Wear whatever you want

Why force yourself into pleather pants or a latex crop top when you can just look homeless in an oversized t-shirt and your boyfriend’s basketball shorts?

6. No makeup

Every girl’s face deserves a day where it gets a break from concealer and contouring. Friday nights in are the perfect time for facemasks and cucumbers.

7. No judgment

No company = no manners. You can belch, fart and pick your nose all you want.

8. You don’t have to contain your weirdness

After a full day of acting normal, Friday nights are your time to let loose. Belt out that song you’ve been dying to sing all day, with matching choreography. Make animal noises while you cook dinner. Lay starfish on the living room floor and make air-angels. Do everything you couldn’t do if you were out in public.

9. No waiting in line for the bathroom

You avoid the pee-pee dance and the germs of a public restroom.

10. Slippers > heels

You don’t have to worry about your ankles caving in and betraying you. Your slippers don’t give you blisters, and therefore make you happy.

11. You get to binge-watch television and live vicariously through the rich and fabulous

It’s the perfect activity for when your week sucked and you don’t want to go out and risk it sucking even more.

12. Avoiding a horrible hangover the next day

You can literally feel your body thanking you.

13. Time to read

You’ve been looking for the perfect time to crack open that new novel you got for Christmas and Friday night is the perfect time.

14. Real talks

Small talk has to be one of the worst things associated with going out and meeting new people. When you spend a Friday night in, you can invite over whomever you want. It’s a chance to have a real discussion about anything and everything without having to scream over loud music and competing conversations.

15. Introspection

Friday nights in are the perfect time to take care of YOU. Make your dorm room into a mini spa, reflect on your past week, catch up on the work you’ve fallen behind on, re-evaluate your life plan, and maybe even put some toothpaste on that zit you’ve been resisting to pop all day.

16. You get a break from people

Between school and your part-time job, you’re constantly interacting with people. It can get tiring. Everyone needs an opportunity to bask in the peace and quietness of their room every once and a while.

17. Bras are optional

Whoever invented them hated womankind, and whoever made them a social requirement deserves to be thrown into a hunger game (…just kidding…).

18. You don’t have to share your alcohol

We all have that one friend who never buys any alcohol and then expects to mooch off of you the entire night. Well, they don’t have to be invited to your Friday night in, now do they?

19. You get to explore the weird side of YouTube

Sometimes it can be hard to find, but once you’re in deep enough, it’s there and boy is it entertaining. Odd trailers for movies you’ve never even heard of, strange challenges and Ice JJ Fish protégées. You name it, it’s there.

20. You get to choose what music you dance to

Why go to a club just to wait until the very end of the night to finally hear the song you’ve been waiting to dance to all night? You can play it straight away on your laptop and dance the night away, just saying…

21. No stress about how you’re getting home

Because guess what? You’re already home!

22. You’re saving money

Have you ever sat down and calculated all of the money you would save if you just stayed home and Netflixed? Just doing that alone will be enough to convince you to hibernate in your room for the rest of the winter, trust us.

No, Mark Zuckerberg Is Not Planning to Run For President

“No” is what Facebook Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg stated Tuesday when BuzzFeed News asked him if he had any plans to run for president. While the CEO of a major tech company may seem like an unlikely choice for the highest political office (although with Trump in the White House, is anything unlikely anymore?), rumors about Zuckerberg running have been floating around for a while, according to Fortune.

Some of Zuckerberg's actions recently have hinted at a potential run for office— for example, he recently hired a former White House photographer to take his picture, announced plans to travel to 30 states where he's never been, and said he thinks "religion is important" even though he's an atheist, BuzzFeed points out. These do sound like things an aspiring politician might do to polish their public image and get to know the country better. But even if Zuckerberg never runs for office, he runs a company that weilds a huge amount of infuence over people's media consumption. He knows he still has to answer to the public, as illustrated by his response to controversy over the role Facebook played in spreading fake news during the election.

Zuckerberg and his wife have started the Chan Zuckerberg Intiative, where they're tackling massive goals like "helping cure, prevent or manage all diseases in our children’s lifetime." So even though he's told friends in private that he's not planning to run for office, according to BuzzFeed, he clearly wants to utilize his success to make a difference.

Even if Zuckerberg were planning to run for president, do we have to worry about it just now? We just got done with this election, and there's a lot of other worryingstuffgoing on at the moment.

The Man Who Stole Jennifer Lawrence's Nude Photos is Going to Jail

Being the fierce woman she is, Jennifer Lawrence spoke for all of the celebs affected by the 2014 hacking and stealing of nude photos when she shared in a Vanity Fair interview that year, “Just because I’m a public figure, just because I’m an actress, does not mean that I asked for this.”

Now nearly three years later, J. Law and other famous targets are probably feeling a little better about the incident. Cosmopolitan reports that after stealing over 30 stars’ private nude photos and videos, 29-year-old Edward Majerczyk will go to jail for nine months. Deservingly, he even has to pay $5,700 in restitution fees to one of the stars involved because she needed counseling after he released her personal photos.

Majerczyk managed the widespread release of such personal details by sending emails that read as if they came from internet service providers. When he received usernames and passwords from those who responded, he was able to access a plethora of celebrity pictures that certainly weren’t meant for a public audience.

Although he wasn’t charged with selling or posting the photos and videos online, Majerczyk pleaded guilty to having unauthorized access to a protected computer, The Guardian says.  According to his attorney, Thomas Needham, Majerczyk was “suffering from depression and looked to pornography websites and internet chat rooms” to “fill some of the voids and disappointment he was feeling in his life.” Needham also revealed that his client attended therapist sessions following the photo scandal.

Majerczyk will end up in a jail in Chicago, and although it seems that he’s come to regret his actions in the years since the hacking, his sentence is bound to make him consider how he’s harmed his victims’ lives even more.
