Need to Know if You’re Pregnant? There’s An App For That

Nowadays, seemingly everything is accessible through your phone. But did any of us think the day would come when you could tell whether or not you’re pregnant simply by opening an app? Well, the world is a magical place, collegiettes.

The pregnancy test company, First Response, announced a pregnancy test with a twist at the Consumer Electronics Show, Cosmopolitan reports. The new “First Response Pregnancy PRO Digital Pregnancy Test and App Access” is Bluetooth enabled (don’t get too excited, it doesn’t play music), which means it will connect to your smartphone through an app you can download.

Once you have urinated on the stick, the app will start a countdown while you wait for your results. If this situation has you feeling anxious, they have a solution. You can choose from three categories: Calm Me (where you can choose things that relax you in hopes of calming your nerves), Educate Me (where you’re able to learn more about pregnancy itself), and Entertain Me (for when you just want to watch dogs being cute to distract yourself).

A press release for the product reports that if you were to receive a negative result, the app is able to help you track your cycle, and provide you with various options on where to go from there. With a positive test result, the app will attempt to provide a due date estimate while also providing a pregnancy tracker and tracking the baby’s growth. While these test results tend to be 99 percent accurate, it’s very important to get a definite answer from your doctor.

This innovative test will release later this year with prices ranging from $14.99 to $21.99, acting as a crucial helping hand and information system for women who are expecting.
