We've all seen people wearing something unexpected that we just had to find for ourselves. This winter, the sweater we all want looks more like an oversized scarf than what we'd traditionally consider a sweater. Thanks to A Beautiful Mess, we've got a cheap and super simple way for you to steal this look!

What You'll Need:
- Throw blanket—preferably fleece
- Scissors
- Tape measure and/or ruler
Step 1:
Lay your throw blanket out horizontally on a flat surface. Find the center of the blanket; this is where the neck hole will be. Starting from the outside edge, cut into the blanket about 14 inches toward the center.
Step 2:
In the center, where the line you cut in step one led to, cut a circle for your neck. To approximate the correct size, measure around your neck with the tape measure. Then, add one inch to that measurement.
Step 3:
That's it! Once you throw your new sweater wrap around your shoulders, you can fold the edges at the front down to form a collar. Add a belt and prepare to rock this winter look!
So, collegiettes, take an extra throw you have lying around and turn it into a great way to stay warm and cute during this sure-to-be cold winter. Snap a selfie to share with us on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, too!
