How excited are you guys for the continuation of the childhood classic Finding Nemo in Finding Dory, to be released in June 2016? Dory, who originally appeared in Finding Nemo as a loveable (albeit extremely forgetful) blue tang, will embark on her own adventure to find her family in the movie sequel. And it looks like Nemo and Dory's world is about to get a little more crowded, because Pixar is introducing two adorable new characters in its sequel. Entertainment Weeklyreports that the two characters are a friendly duo made up of a beluga whale named Bailey and a whale shark named Destiny that Dory encounters when she visits a rehabilitation center for marine life. Bailey is voiced by actor Ty Burrell (of Modern Family fame) and Destiny is voiced by Kaitlin Olson (best known for her role as Deandra Reynolds in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia).
The two characters both have challenges of their own, as Burrell describes in an interview with EW. "My character isn't great at his own sonar capability, and Destiny has trouble swimming straight," he reveals. Olson adds that Bailey and Destiny don't always get along, saying, "I like to think I'm a shark, but Bailey calls me a whale, and I make fun of his head, because it's gigantic." We are so excited to see Dory meet these two loveable sea creatures! And if there's one thing we learned from Finding Nemo, it's the power of unexpected friendships.
