Your Phone May Be Ruining Your Relationship

We're all guilty of feeling attached to our phones and not wanting to miss anything on social media—but a new study brings our phone obsessions to a whole different level. Phubbing, or phone snubbing, is becoming a serious issue, specifically in relationships.

The results of the study concluded that when people feel snubbed by their partner's phone, which 43.6 percent of people did, it can lead to unhappiness and even depression. Keeping your phone with you at all times or checking it when there's a pause in conversation are habits of phubbers. These actions may not seem like a big deal and may even feel natural, but 22.6 percent of people said it caused problems in their relationship.

You may want to start putting your phone away while you're with people, specifically your SO—Your health may even improve as well! Do an activity together sans-phones and you'll likely feel closer as a result.
