5. The United States Olympic Committee Internship Program
Industry: Varies
Location: Washington, DC; Lake Placid, NY; Colorado Springs, CO; and Chula Vista, CA
Timing: Year-round

The U.S. Olympic Committee Internship Program offers interns the opportunity to work in many different fields, ranging from sports medicine to human resources. Interns move into Olympic Training Centers (located across the country), where they perform their day-to-day duties year-round. The responsibilities of the interns vary depending on their job, but the opportunity is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, especially for die-hard Olympics fans.
During the years that the Olympics are happening, some interns have to travel internationally for their intern responsibilities. But even if it’s just training season, the few lucky interns get an amazing internship experience. While living in the Olympic training sites, interns get to rub elbows with Olympic athlete trainees. They eat all of their meals at the athletes’ dining hall (the same place where the Olympians eat!) and may even live in the same building as them.
