Hillary Clinton is taking a stand against guns in response to Wednesday’s tragic Charleston church shooting. Yesterday, Clinton spoke at the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials in Las Vegas and made her stance on guns clear: we need to take action against gun violence. She also pointed out the inherent racism of the shooting, which took place at a historically black church and left nine people dead including the pastor.
“We have to face hard truths about race, violence, guns, and division,” she said. “We will stand with (the people of Charleston) as we seek answers and take action.”
She also pointed out a question that’s been on a lot of American minds since Wednesday: “How many people do we need to see cut down before we act?”
