With the ever rising rate of college campus sexual assault, the topic of what is considered consent and what is not considered consent has taken over the media. Although it should be a common sense decision in whether or not to proceed with sexual interaction with someone (“yes” means “yes” and “no” means “no”), a new video campaign created by Blue Seat Studios and Rockstar Dinosaur Pirate Princess gives us a visual representation of what consent actually means, using stick figures and tea. While the video can be seen as entertaining, it also efficiently illustrates and clears up any confusion on consent.

The video ends with a short but meaningful statement: "Whether it’s tea or sex, consent is everything.”
According to The Huffington Post, 1 in 5 college women will experience sexual assault. While those numbers are frightening, the recent wave of publicity showing how colleges are starting to handle these sexual assault cases provides a slight comfort. And now that lawmakers are taking a closer look at how colleges are responding to allegations of sexual assault, we are hopeful that the conversation on consent will never die down.
