We were excited when it was first announced that Trevor Noah would be taking over The Daily Show on Comedy Central, but after a little Twitter stalking, it seems he may not be the best man for the job. After it was announced Monday that Noah would be taking Jon Stewart's place, fans found some unsettling tweets on his personal profile. He's made some pretty upsetting comments against Jewish individuals and poked fun at women for their weight. Not only are these tweets offensive, but they also don't match the type of humor fans want to see on The Daily Show.
Almost bumped a Jewish kid crossing the road. He didn't look b4 crossing but I still would hav felt so bad in my german car!

"Oh yeah the weekend. People are gonna get drunk & think that I'm sexy!" - fat chicks everywhere.

Comedy Central released a statement supporting Noah, stating that they will stick to their decision to bring him on as the new host. Noah also tweeted out his own reponse, saying, "To reduce my views to a handful of jokes that didn’t land is not a true reflection of my character, nor my evolution as a comedian." While he does have a point, the fact that he's made such offensive jokes certainly doesn't reflect well on his character. Many fans of the show are claiming that they won't watch this new reboot of the show at all.
After all this controversy, will you still watch Trevor Noah as the new host of The Daily Show?
