When it was announced that Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart would be the latest stars to undergo Jimmy Fallon's popular "Lip Sync Battle," we knew without a doubt that this was going to be no ordinary spectacle. But we could never have imagined the utter gem that would be presented during last night's episode of the Tonight Show. (Even Fallon was losing it in the background.) The second that comedian Ferrell took the stage and announced he would be performing a rendition of Queen B's "Drunk In Love," the crowd screamed with delight. With a pop of his hip and a pretty big dose of sass, Ferrell went down in late night history with a performance that as, Fallon described, we will "never be able be able to unsee." It was nothing short of legendary!
We mean:
The man gave Beyoncé a run for her money. He rolled and shimmied and gave it his all in front of millions of people. That was what made it so epic—we don't even perform this fully when we're singing in our own shower/car/dorm room.
But the fun didn't stop there—Fallon held his own with an on-point imitation of vintage Kelly Clarkson, performing "Since U Been Gone."
Kevin Hart's "emotional" ballad dedicated to his "true love" had Will Ferrell unable to control his emotions.
By far though, the show-stealing performance of the night was Ferrell once again, as he belted out a no-holds-back "Let It Go"—no shame for knowing all the lyrics... we are right there with you!
And the finishing touch...
Fallon's "Dirty Dancing" duet with surprise guest Drew Barrymore was pretty fantastic, too:
Not to mention, Hart's crowd-pumping tribute to halftime star Katy Perry:
If you're anything like us, you just can't get enough—so here's the entire lip sync battle below... we suggest setting aside a few hours so you can watch this on repeat!
