Let's face it—the start of a new semester leaves us collegiettes too busy to pull out the curlers, straighteners and waving wands every morning—not to mention, weeks of sleeping in over winter break has left us craving the extra sleep in the AM. The solution? Easy, effortless styles you can sleep in that will leave you with amazing hair when you wake up. We've rounded up our top three overnight hairstyles that will leave you looking like you spent way more time in the morning than you did. Whether you want sexy waves, over-the-top volume or serious sleekness, we've got you covered!

1. Beachy waves

To achieve undone, messy waves without having to fuss with a curling iron, start by spritzing damp hair with a texturizing spray, like the Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray ($27 at Sephora). Part your hair the way you usually do and section it into two or more sections, depending on the thickness of your hair and how loose or tight you want your waves. Start braiding each section normally, from about your jawline down to avoid awkward crimps at the back of your head. Secure your braids with elastics and wake up to beautiful, beachy waves!

2. Effortless volume

If your hair tends to look flat, limp and all around lackluster, then this is the sleep-in style for you! Run a generous amount of volumizing mousse, like the Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Mousse ($4.19 at Walmart), through your hair from roots to tips, working the product in with your fingers. Throw your hair up into a loose topknot, making sure it's high enough that it won't bother you while you sleep. Gently tug at the bun to make sure it's loose—you don't want it super tight to your head! Take the bun down in the morning for fabulously touchable volume.

3. Sleek shine

To minimize the time spent combatting unruly frizz in the mornings, run a smoothing serum, like the OGX Argan Oil of Morocco Extra Penetrating Oil ($5.79 at Target), through your hair, concentrating on the ends. Comb through your hair and gather it at the base of your neck, twisting it into a low, not-too-tight bun. Secure the bun with a soft scrunchie to avoid creases and to keep a regular hair elastic from causing friction. It's also a good idea to switch out your regular cotton pillowcase with a silk or satin one, which won't tug on your hair or cause split ends. In the morning, gently let your hair down and enjoy your sleek and shiny locks.

With these foolproof overnight hairstyles you can put your styling tools away and say hello to healthier, happier, more fabulous hair—and way more free time in the mornings. Happy styling!
