Pixar's President Reveals Details About 'Finding Dory'

When it comes to the release of Finding Nemo's sequel, Dory the regal tang fish would probably tell us to just keep waiting, just keep waiting... because we still have a little over a year and a half to go. But thanks to a recent gift from the Pixar gods, we now have some plot details that will hopefully tide us over, at least until the trailer comes out.

If you're looking for someone to thank, it should probably be Pixar president Jim Morris, since he's the one who divulged the Finding Dory details this past weekend at a Comic Con event in Brazil. Morris said the film would center around the Marine Biology Institute of California, a rehabilitation center for marine life, according to the Hollywood Reporter. After learning she was born and raised at the institute, Dory and the gang (Nemo included this time!) venture off to find her parents who will be voiced by Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy. Oh and Ty Burrell is slated to play a whale named Bailey, so you can probably expect to see some whale-talk action go down.

In terms of the time frame, Finding Dory is set to pick up just a few months later after Finding Nemo left off, which will make it seem as though you never left the theater over a decade ago (it's okay if you feel old now).

While the plot info we have so far is still pretty general, our minds are going wild as we try to imagine how this epic tale will turn out. Based on the killer cast and general plot premise, we have a feeling that Finding Dory will be far from one of those awful sequels everyone wishes never happened. All we can say is that we have June 17, 2016 already marked on our calendars and that we're not ashamed in the least bit to catch the flick now that we've grown up.
