Christmas is one of our favorite holidays, but it can also be stressful. Between all of your family and friends and their different tastes, Christmas shopping can get hectic and expensive. Here are the thoughts we all have while shopping during the holiday season.
1. Okay, I need to get presents for my mom, dad, brother, cat, dog, aunt, uncle, cousin and roommates.
2. *Checks bank account balance* Maybe just immediate family this year...
3. Wait, do I need to get something for that guy I’ve been seeing?
4. It’s only been a few weeks - what if I get him something but he doesn’t get me anything?
5. What if he thinks I’m obsessed with him?
6. Am I obsessed with him?
7. Okay, no present for him.
8. Mom’s not too hard to shop for; I’ll just get her some cute and inexpensive jewelry from Francesca’s that she’ll probably never wear.
9. *Looks at price tag* Ouch, not so inexpensive.
10. I’ll get it anyways. She birthed me; she deserves it.
11. Now for Dad... what do you get the man who has everything?
12. *Thinks for 20 minutes* Okay, next person!
13. My brother returns everything I ever get him, so does it really matter at this point?
14. Does he still even play video games? Whatever. *grabs a handful of random games and movies*
15. Okay, back to Dad.
16. Whenever I ask him what he wants, he just responds, “Good behavior and good grades,” so... I really have to brainstorm here.
17. Maybe a new cologne to add to his untouched collection of 50.
18. Sold!
19. And just enough money left for an Auntie Anne’s pretzel. Merry Christmas!
