After moving from New York to Miami, Katharine Contag was unpacking her boxes of nail polish when she decided storage for her polishes needed an improvement. She began searching blogger's websites and online retailers, but was shocked that she couldn't find anything. So she went to Joanne's Fabrics, got her own supplies, and put together a storage box fit for her needs. Thus, the Color Clutch was born.
"The Color Clutch is for someone who is tired of taking up all of their shelf space and rifling through all of their colors to find a polish," says Contag. With two options in the signature robin's egg blue, users can store their polish compactly on a shelf (18-bottle box) or take it on the go (8-bottle case). The foam inside holds every size and shape of polish, and the box's clear front allows for easy visibility. The travel case even has a pouch for all of your manicure tools!
Check out Contag's Kickstarter, where you can donate—and score your own Color Clutches! After meeting Kickstarter sales goals, Contag hopes to retail on other sites and eventually in stores such as Sephora and Birchbox. In the future she is hoping to expand product assortment into storage for other beauty supplies by asking women what needs they feel could still be met.
"It's a great price point," Contag states, "and an easy solution to be organized." I don't know about you, but I know I hate rifling through all of my polishes to find the color I want. So head on over to Kickstarter and check out the Color Clutch for an easy, cute, space-saving solution to nail polish storage!
