How to Bring Back Your Fave Summer Pieces When You're Bored With Your Winter Wardrobe

Is anyone else incredibly bored with their winter wardrobe, or is it just me? After months of rotating through the same sweaters, jackets, and pants, everything has started to look so blah. All I want to do is throw on my summer dresses and run around in the sun, but unfortunately, winter is sticking around for a few more months. That doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun while waiting around for the warmer months!

Instead of forlornly looking at your favorite summer staples, put them to good use by pairing them with your winter outfits. I know what you’re thinking and no, you won’t look like you got lost in your own closet. Layering your favorite summer pieces is actually pretty easy. Don't believe us? Here are a few of our favorite summer-inspired winter looks to prove it.

Jumpsuits came out in full force over the summer and TBH, I was heartbroken when I had to put mine away in favor of cold weather clothes. Laying a turtleneck underneath dresses and jumpsuits gives you SO many options to choose from to spice up your day to day winter style, the possibilities are endless.

Flowy linen pants and sweaters

Buying a pair of breezy striped pants over the summer was one of the better fashion choices I made. Not only do they look great with a tube top or bandeau, but you can also pair them with your favorite sweaters to ensure you stay warm while looking fresh.

Camisoles over long sleeves

Silk camisoles are simple, chic, and light, making them a great top to wear when the temps start to rise. For winter, throw one on top of your plain long sleeve shirts to liven up your look.

Skirts and shorts with thigh highs

The freezing chill of winter air makes it much too cold to run around your favorite shorts and skirts. Unless you pair them with thigh high stockings or boots for warmth, then voila! Even if you can’t stand the cold this combo will make sure you’re nice and toasty while looking stylish.

Hopefully wearing some of our favorite summer pieces will give us the strength to make it through the next few months of cold weather. In the meantime, I've got to go resurrect all my jumpsuits and dresses from their winter graves so I can introduce them to my favorite turtlenecks.
