Lori Loughlin’s daughters, social media influencer Olivia Jade and Isabella, will reportedly not be returning to the University of Southern California (USC).

The decision comes after Loughlin and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, were charged in the massive college admissions scandal for paying $500,000 to get their daughters into USC by having them “designated as recruits to the USC crew team — despite the fact that they did not participate in crew.” Giannulli also action photos of their daughters on rowing machines to Rick Singer, the ringleader of the admissions scam, so fake athletic profiles could be created.

Sources told TMZ that Olivia Jade and Isabella made the decision with the full support of their parents, adding the family feared that if the two girls went back to school, they would be “viciously bullied.”

The scandal has reportedly been hard on Olivia Jade, sources said, adding that she “is a mess, despondent and feeling like it’s the end of the world.”

Olivia Jade, a social media influencer, lost her partnership with Sephora on Thursday, after the cosmetic company announced it would be parting ways with her and halted sales of her Olivia Jade x Sephora Collection Bronze & Illuminate Palette.

TMZ reported that the girls never really wanted to attend the university, with sources saying “they liked the concept of school principally because of partying, and had their sights set on Arizona State University. That’s why [their father] Mossimo sent an email saying he wanted to get his daughters ‘into a school other than ASU!’”

Sources also told People that the sisters were never very interested in getting a prestigious higher education.

“Olivia and Isabella’s personalities were always very different from their parents’,” the source told People. “They are average students. They have never been obsessed with school and didn’t seem to care that much. They attended school because their parents made them. Their focus was never about getting straight As. It was always clear that it was the parents that pushed them to go to school. Olivia always talks about her vlog. This is her passion. She never really understood why she needs to go to school.”

TMZ was told the sisters plan to “lay low” and will not try to enroll in another school in the near future.

As for now, USC has not made a decision about whether Olivia Jade and Isabella will be allowed to remain at the school.

USC officials told Buzzfeed the university is looking at each student’s case individually.

“We will make informed, appropriate decisions once those reviews have been completed,” Leigh Hopper, a USC spokesperson, said. “Some of these individuals may have been minors at the time of their application process.”
