Here's the thing: sleep is really important to me. I'm not the type of person who likes to stay up late, or wake up early. I like to be in bed by 10 with a glass of wine in hand, a sheet mask pressed into my face, and endless pillows puffed up behind my head. As such, I've recently become obsessed with products that help you sleep better. Maybe it's because I dream of being one of those women who just like, floats around her house all day in an extreme sort of way, only ever wearing silk and a super fluffy robe, never getting less than 9 hours of sleep.
Or maybe it's just because sleep is really important to your overall wellness, so when I don't get enough sleep, I absolutely feel like garbage. Our 2016 survey of 10,000 responses from women at 300+ colleges found that college women aren't sleeping well, with only 15% of college women getting to bed by 11 on weeknights, while 51% stay up past midnight. Considering that 81% are up by nine in the morning, most of you are not getting the sleep your bodies need.
I set out for better sleep to see what I could learn about sleep, and how we can all sleep a little better. And along the way, I fell into a giant tub of Lush's Sleepy Body Lotion.
I take my skincare routine truly seriously, so, naturally, I took the route of skincare, seeking out a skincare routine that would lead to better sleep routines. So when everyone would not stop talking about Lush's sleep line, I was like, okay, let's do it.
I slathered myself in a variety of sleep products, and now we're going to hang out and talk about them.
