This piece has been syndicated from Her Campus UCF. You can join a chapter at your school (or start your own!).

It would be an absolute shame to live in Orlando and never try some of these hidden gems. Orlando has a vast variety of food and price ranges, meaning there’s something for everyone. This list was created with a college student's budget in mind—those who want to experience good food shouldn't have to break the bank.

1. King Bao – $

This restaurant serves inexpensive delicious bao buns and loaded tater tots. Bao buns are steamed soft and light buns that can be filled with anything. King Bao serves several delicious types, including ones filled with thick pork slices and lobster. It's worth the stop at the average price of $3 per bao. Not to mention, they have different types of loaded tater tots. Come check out this take on Asian finger food.

2. Lechonera Latina – $

Lechonera Latina has captured the hearts of many locals. It provides a distinct atmosphere along with delicious Latin food. Within moments of walking in, it makes visitors feel like family. It serves Latin style sandwiches, soups and plates at an affordable price. I recommend trying their meat plates for the best experience. Did I also mention that they cater? It’s no wonder Lechonera Latina is on this list.

3. Danketsu – $$

Danketsu is a UCF student favorite with its college night deal. This restaurant serves Korean style food, but is most popular for its Korean barbeque and hot pot. It serves unlimited meats that patrons self cook along with a variety of Korean side dishes, such as kimchi. This restaurant is medium priced and worth a visit. Local college students have rightfully nicknamed Danketsu to “Dank” for its amazing food.

4. The Glass Knife – $$$

The Glass Knife is located in Winter Park. This restaurant serves delicious food that feels high end. The restaurant provides a cute and classy café atmosphere with its large glass doors and French-styled tables. Their menu provides a vast variety of foods, including a gourmet take on biscuits and gravy. Their most popular items, however, are their brioche donuts and award-winning cakes. Not to mention, the restaurant supports the local community and participates in local events. A personal favorite of mine, as well a local favorite.

5. À La Cart – $$

À La Cart is food hall that is brand new to the Orlando area. It has a large open pavilion accompanied with tables and chic lounge chairs, as well as a stylish inside sitting area with a bar. À La Cart has permanent food trucks that serve every day, as well as visiting food trucks. Check their website for the food truck schedule so you know what to expect on the day of your visit. The inside bar serves cold brew coffee as well as 15 different craft beers, for those of us who are of age. I found the new food hall to be interesting and delicious after I paid a visit.

Whether you are looking for new restaurants to hang out at with friends or looking to add new food posts to your Instagram page, these restaurants are bound to wow you. Happy eating!
