I can still remember being in second grade and idolizing Miley Cyrus and her entire wardrobe on Hannah Montana. I would go into my own closet and try to recreate outfits she wore on the show, pulling together every sequined thing I owned and piling on hair glitter. I mean, just take one look at Miley’s closet on the show and it was enough to spark envy in any fashion lover.
While pink cowboy boots and sparkly shrugs may not be on most of our fashion wish lists today, Miley is still a fashion force to be reckoned with. She’s come a long way from her days of twerking on Robin Thicke and has reestablished herself in the music and fashion industry. With her recent marriage to Liam Hemsworth and that amazing Grammy performance alongside Shawn Mendes, Miley must be on cloud nine right now (and her wardrobe is too).
Casual & cool
We are loving Miley’s crochet top paired with mom jeans and glittery sneakers for its equal parts casual and cool aesthetic. It’s just as easy to put together as your basic jeans & sneakers combo, but the glittery rendition and crochet top elevate it and add a glam factor.
Not your Grandma’s florals
I am LIVING for this floral ruched dress Miley rocked on Saturday Night Live. The low v neckline and padded shoulders give a fresh twist to an otherwise ‘been there, done that’ type of dress. The matching red heels are the perfect finishing touch and tie the whole look together.
Mixed metallics
Miley isn’t afraid to mix metallics, and for good reason! Her silver pleated top looks amazing paired with her shiny heels. The black trousers break up the shine and keep it from being over the top. Look at that strut – she knows she’s killing it.
Tailored chic
The look Miley wore to the Grammys was totally unexpected, but somehow she completely rocks it. The tailored menswear-inspired suit is given a feminine twist with the chain detailing and subtle brocade pattern. Her layered necklaces and bracelets finish off the look and up the glam factor.
Bridal simplicity
Miley’s wedding look was so much more understated than we expected but in the best way. The satin off the shoulder gown paired with her natural waves gives her an ethereal quality that we’re sure left Liam speechless.
Something blue
We’re not exactly sure what’s going on with this whole feather situation, but this color is amazing. Especially with Miley’s blue eyes, turquoise is definitely the color for her. BRB while we go add turquoise everything to our shopping cart.
This past year has been one of Miley’s best yet and the pop princess has reclaimed her throne as a fashion icon. She always knows how to add a cool girl spin on any basic outfit. Excuse us while we go listen to our old Hannah Montana playlist on repeat.
