After reports surfaced that Selena Gomez was receiving treatment at a psychiatric facility — where she's still continuing therapy to improve her physical, mental and emotional health — Cardi B added to the many people sending Selena support.

In an interview with E! News, Cardi discussed working with Selena on their recent single, "Taki Taki."

"When I met her, she was such a sweet, adorable person," Cardi said on the set of an upcoming project with Fashion Nova. "She's really what you see. She's really a sweetheart."

Cardi continued, "I just want to let her know, girl, you're beautiful, you're rich and hold on because even sometimes I feel like I'm losing my mind. I just got to pray hard to God and get away from social media."

Selena actually announced last month that she was taking a hiatus from social media to live her life "present to the moment" she's been given. In the post, also encouraged her followers to remember that "negative comments can hurt anybody's feelings."

Cardi told E! News that she could relate to how Selena might be feeling. "You could go on vacation, you could go anywhere in the world but you can't escape your mind," she said.

For her, the best way to cope with anxiety or pressure from the public is being "surrounded with people that love you."

"Sometimes I go to my grandmother's house and I stay there for two weeks because they uplift me," Cardi said. "Sometimes I go upstate to my family's house and they pray for me. We do prayers for a full two hours and I feel uplifted."

In recent weeks, Selena was reportedly found to have a low white cell blood count — common for those who have received kidney transplants, like Selena did last summer amid her ongoing battle with lupus. She's still recovering while also dealing with depression, anxiety and panic attacks.
