Ariana Grande is saying her final goodbye to ex-Mac Miller, who was found dead last Friday in his home in San Fernando Valley after an apparent overdose. Ariana posted a photo of the rapper shortly after his passing last week, but on Friday afternoon she shared a few touching words.
The singer posted a video of Mac singing at dinner and then getting embarrassed. Ariana is heard laughing, saying how he "makes me happy." But the caption for the video is what made it all the more tear-inducing. "I adored you from the day I met you when I was 19 and I always will. I can’t believe you aren’t here anymore. I really can’t wrap my head around it," she wrote. "We talked about this. So many times. I’m so mad, I’m so sad I don’t know what to do. You were my dearest friend. For so long. Above anything else. I’m so sorry I couldn’t fix or take your pain away. I really wanted to. The kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. I hope you’re okay now. Rest."

Ariana and Mac were together for a year and a half before their split. However, their break-up did not mean Ari was any less supportive of the rapper and his efforts to be sober. "There could not have been anybody more supportive of him being sober than Ariana," Mac Miller's friend Shane Powers said on his podcast. "This little girl was unbelievably involved and helpful to him being healthy."
Mac Miller was only 26.
