A Simple Favor is hitting theaters this weekend, and why wouldn't you want to watch it when it stars Gossip Girl alum Blake Lively and Pitch Perfect's Anna Kendrick? Because obviously you've seen every episode of GG, and Pitch Perfect was everything. And you'd think everyone is like you, but funny enough, there are people who have never seen Gossip Girl (*gasp*), like Blake Lively's A Simple Favor co-star, for example. In a recent interview with Vulture, Anna Kendrick confessed that she has never seen a single episode of Gossip Girl. *jaw drops in shock*
“I haven’t actually seen Gossip Girl,” she spilled. “So there were a couple things Blake said on set [about the show] that I was like, girl, totally!” Then Kendrick’s voice dropped into a dramatic whisper: “But like, wait, what is she talking about?”
Although I'm just shocked, the good is it's never too late for her to get started on our generation's favorite teen drama. XOXO Gossip Girl
For those of you who, like Kendrick, are unfamiliar with Gossip Girl, the show premiered in 2007 and is set in an elite New York City high school, revolving around the escapades of Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) and Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester). As always, there is drama—LOTS of drama.

It's okay, Anna, we'll let this one slide (for now), especially since she's been sharing some behind-the-scenes secret about working with Blake.
In another interview, the 33-year-old star discussed what it was like to kiss Blake in A Simple Favor, even sharing how she wanted her breath to be as fresh as possible. “I mean, all I’m ever thinking about in [kissing] scenes is, who has gum?,” Anna said. “Who has a mint? And I think Blake is probably the same because I’ve never experienced a guy, searching for gum. So, we were the mintiest, freshest two people to ever have kissed in the history of America.”
A Simple Favor centers around Stephanie (Anna Kendrick), a mommy blogger who seeks to uncover the truth behind her best friend Emily's (Blake Lively) sudden disappearance from their small town. The film also features Crazy Rich Asian's Henry Golding as Emily's husband. The film hits theaters Friday, September 14.
